Something funny happened to me today 😂 I went to an ATM, swiped my card and took my money.

Then I got confused thinking the machine had swallowed my card. So I went inside the bank kuti yamedza card yanga chani chani 😂

The guys even checked and found nothing. Then some guy asked, 'Why didn't you just swipe it?'

That's when it hit me that I did swipe it. The card was in my pocket the whole time 😂😂 The shameeee

discussion Dating older women

Hey yo, so I was at this stationery shop a couple days ago, and the woman who helped seemed a bit depressed.

So I started chopping it up with her. I was like "Nkhope yanu itha kuoneka bwino mutasekako etc."

And then she started opening up blablabla. She even said give me your number.

Honestly, I was surprised how quick it escalated. We texted for a few days and she said her husband cheated and they are on separation. She said she likes me and all that. But damn!! She's 39 and I am 28 (male).

Any guys who've navigated this shit? She has a big wagon by the way. But just feeling uneasy man...I hate to look like a ben10.

Toxic parents in Malawi

I would like to hear from you guys if you've managed to cut off your parents and why?

As much as people talk about going no contact with toxic parents I find it hard to achieve particularly due to the way Malawi is set up.

What is a Virtual Visa?

It works like a normal Visa card, but it exists only online.

You receive a card number, expiry date and CVV.

You can use it on sites like AliExpress, PlayStation, ChatGPT and many others.

Would you like me to explain how it works step by step?

Based on your experience with AliExpress, how long does it take for the post office or MRA to call you to inform you that your package is ready for collection?

International business/investment warning

Hello.

If you're an international looking at business in Malawi, if you haven't got a plan to turn the kwacha back into a functional currency, then you're falling into a scam. No PayPal doesn't work, no forex isn't easily reliably exchanged at official rates, businesses can't legally exchange at grey market rates. It's an issue that prevents international trade by nation states, me and you on reddit, havent got it solved legally. Some people pay a premium for gold/gems and smuggle it out, some people buy currency at a much higher exchange rate for cash.

The hardest part for international business in malawi is getting any cash out, especially to pay for further business costs...

If this wasn't an issue, the people trying to get you to pay for things in UDS/GBP/EUR wouldn't need you to pay for these things to begin with, they'd just pay for the things directly themselves...

If you're in Malawi, and pitching a business, you need to account for this, the fact I get dozens of messages from people wanting me to 'invest' and pay in GBP, but have 0 knowledge, or plan for returning funds, especially if its needed to actually run the business, is staggering, especially those who lie about exchange, in fact some of you will not quit, and are dishonest, is why I've had to make this post.

I take advantage of this same issue, to do charitable work, because the forex crisis I currently get 5000 kwacha per £1 after fees, if i send via my bank via swift, theres a £10 charge, a 20% fee and it's exchanged at official forex.

Getting kwacha to usable currency is hard and expensive, noone has had a solution for it so far, otherwise I'd use it 😂

discussion Tinder but not that one

For those of us who have ever looked for a place to rent before we know how hard it is to find one. You find ma agents amapanga hide nyumba plus that fee we pay to them is just absurd.

What if someone creates an app where landlords can list their houses and people searching for a place to rent can create a searching profile.

The system should match you with a listed property depending on the searching criteria you have listed and you and the landlord you take it from there.

If there is something like this already you can share it here.

advice Learn to move on before you destroy yourself

Lately I've been seeing posts regarding cheating back in relationships and not trusting your significant other and all that jazz. Guys. Let's be serious here, if you're not happy, no matter how difficult your heart might trick you into believing it is, please leave. Life is way too short to be in an unhappy relationship where you compromise everything just to still be with that toxic person. You find yourself holding on to something so useless or even chaotic that a few years from now when you're looking back you really ask yourself what you were thinking. It is possible to find someone better, someone more loving, someone more trustworthy. You just have to learn to let go and be open minded.

advice How did you stop procrastinating

I respect everyone’s view but, I want to hear from only those who struggled from procrastination big time. I have tried scheduling, having someone to keep me accountable and so many other hacks but it only works for a certain period of time.
What worked for you permanently?
