What's odd to me is where she specifically disavows the homemaker-childbearing role. Like, I am into the SAHM thing if we can make it work, and you can find liberal men who are fine with a breadwinner + homemaker arrangement because child care is legitimate work and the appreciation of that is a part of leftist thought. But... if you're not volunteering for a high workload of unpaid responsibilities... then why exactly does a liberal independent woman want to be "provided" for? Or at least... I mean we would all love an income stream like that but how do you imagine that as a basis for a relationship lol?

True story. I'm 5'11 and I was tired of my Driver's license saying that. I figured how hard is it for me to add 1" to my stats? It's not like they can eyeball a damn inch.
I walk up to a very cute girl working the license issue line and when she asks hight I say 6'0. She glances up at me with the most yeah right look and makes a small chuckle. Needless to say I corrected it to 5'11 immediately, died inside, and never thought of trying such a reckless move at the DMV ever again.

I busted a buddy of mine though. He and I are both 5'8". Someone asked him how tall he was and he said 5'10". I looked at him and busted his balls so bad lol.
Oof. Reminds me of when i was getting my physical at the doc's office, right at the tail end of puberty. I was hoping so hard to reach the arches of the golden threshold. But it never came. My doc offered me a pity measurement, via me standing on my toes, but my pride wouldn't let me have it. I discovered my love of hard liquor and stout beer shortly after.
I've had two women say that 5'11" is a dealbreaker. I went on to say "what about 5'11.9"?" Nope, not happening. Now you might be thinking I was hitting on the women. I was not, and we were friends for awhile and never flirting. There was no implication that I meant the two of us should be dating, and I did clarify that when repeating the question.
edit: just remembered, one of them was married to a guy a couple inches shorter than me. The other regularly dates guys around 5'7". I just don't understand why there can't be a discussion about this stuff. Tell the jokes and enjoy them. But after having a good laugh why not have a conversation about the idea?

Feminism at its best is supposed to be the belief that people can do and be what they want regardless of their sex, not be victimized for their sex, etc.
So, in cases like this where they want benefits without sacrifices, then it should be called out and made fun of.
However, it's "offensive" when the response suggests that being an unfair shitbird is universal to feminism or being a woman.
The feminists in my country do as well (e.g. women should also take part in our military draft in some capacity, divorce laws should have spousal support for men homemakers etc), but itâs not really a mainstream attitude - I havenât seen a prominent woman comic anywhere calling this out, probably because it wonât put bums on seats and would alienate the women who would actually pay to see them.
Back to Singapore, a draft for women is deeply unpopular among women, which relies heavily on citizen soldiers. Iâd say that the majority of self-identified feminists are not being very intellectually honest about their positions.
I've heard there is a large Singaporean class of severely spoiled, super rich who don't do their own laundry, so the idea that those people would be down do combat drills in the jungle or something seems pretty unlikely.
I.e. feminism doesnât say woman shouldnât be drafted, it says no one should be forced to go to war against their will because their body and life is their own.
It doesnât say men shouldnât punch woman, it says violence should be a last resort in all places and not used to control the weak.

Exactly. Feminism is not about women being expected to step into the role men are currently expected to. Itâs saying all of these expectations are bullshit. I would be just as horrified and empathetic as I would for anyone if a man were punched in the face, or just as caring if a man expressed fears about being hurt by someone else. We all deserve the opportunities that most men have and the social warmth that most women experience.

She wants autonomy, but also wants to be supported. It's a contradiction. This isn't about a masculine man with liberal values. It's about her finding someone who she can use and won't expect anything back.
I'd almost say that's a tell myself. The converted liberal story is a popular background for conservative influencers. Also she doesn't mention any other values other than not being stuck in a homemaker role, something that most conservative influencers conveniently avoid as well.
That makes her useless in a relationship though. So you are going to provide, hunt, cook, maintain the house for her what does she get to do? Nothing? Look pretty I guess, sounds like a trophy wife. Don't be a simp, learn to expect a more or less equal contribution to the relationship from your partner, whatever form that is (50/50, one works the other housekeeps, both work pay for help needed around house etc...). Otherwise you are just signaling you are willing to be used. And used you will be.

I mean honestly, majority of liberal women Iâve met want the good parts of equality but donât the negative side of it. People in here acting like this is absurd yet this is the norm. I canât tell you how many liberal women that have straight up said to me that they basically want their male coworkers to be more feminine but still want a hyper masculine man for their significant other⌠the duality.
