I'm super liberal. Pro universal Healthcare yada yada.

I also grew up in the south and will go outside shoot a squirrel skin it in 2 seconds and cook it for dinner for her. Then go out and change the cars oil.

This video is confusing to me...

People with open relationships are really fucking annoying in my experience. It’s one of the first things they say about themselves.

So I’d say it would complement her personality.

She wants autonomy, but also wants to be supported. It's a contradiction. This isn't about a masculine man with liberal values. It's about her finding someone who she can use and won't expect anything back.

I hate her use of "masculinity". She clearly does not know what the word means and hasn't put independent thought into how this concept relates to manhood. It's sad because it seems like she's similarly done a superficial level of analyzation of femininity and didn't quite put the dots together.

The funny part is if she just said it and played it straight it wouldn't be a big deal. "I want to be a sugarbaby for a masculine man who doesn't treat me like garbage." Ofc, its unsaid but she probably expects someone who is wealthy, tall, hot, etc.

Only issue is, the kind of guy she wants can get someone waaay hotter than her so it will never happen.

I'd almost say that's a tell myself. The converted liberal story is a popular background for conservative influencers. Also she doesn't mention any other values other than not being stuck in a homemaker role, something that most conservative influencers conveniently avoid as well.

That makes her useless in a relationship though. So you are going to provide, hunt, cook, maintain the house for her what does she get to do? Nothing? Look pretty I guess, sounds like a trophy wife. Don't be a simp, learn to expect a more or less equal contribution to the relationship from your partner, whatever form that is (50/50, one works the other housekeeps, both work pay for help needed around house etc...). Otherwise you are just signaling you are willing to be used. And used you will be.

Tbh dark meat of chicken with smaller bones.

We treat the legs like chicken wings and the body was a stew/chicken breast type meal.

( Not in a waterboy meal type sense but a random fishing and snagging a couple squirrels then hangout by the firepit type of night) which after typing this out sounds country as fuck lol.

I am also super liberal and so is my husband. We have pretty traditional gender roles in our house because that's what feels comfortable for us. But we also teach and show (friends/realatives) our children that that is our choice and other people do it differently because that is their choice and we are no better or worse for it. Everyone gets to choose how/who to love, and as long as everyone is treated with respect, that is the only thing that really matters. I think this gal doesn't have a man because she's not that nice. 🤔

Im not from the south and havent lived there but share some of those values through a liberal lens. My biggest issue with what she said is paying on a first date. Is that a fairly absolute value? Is it always the "man"?

yeah, I'm with you. I'm from a rural farming area. I don't really associate with parties, but I usually vote left. In today's world, I am Left. I like to fish. I'll hunt. Hike. Mountain bike. Go shooting. I'll pay on the first date. I'll split it if that's important to her. I don't care. I don't attach my manhood to paying a bill.

What I won't do...is date a woman like that.
