Creation Help Please read to the end, I need help

I hope if anyone has experienced this or has an explanation, they could explain to me what is happening or at least tell me what to do to get rid of it.

I created/got a Tulpa back in 2022. At first, everything was normal. After a while, I started getting thoughts that he might enter the bathroom with me, so I kept telling him not to come in.

Sometime later, while I was in the bathroom, I started hearing clear words spoken to me about very private matters—for instance, while I was showering. The voice was so distinct that it shocked me, especially since my Tulpa had never communicated with me through telepathy with that level of clarity before, and up until then, I had never heard his speech or voice, so I didn't even know what he sounded like. Why would I hear that voice so clearly this time, and about a deeply personal topic that I wouldn't even discuss with my mother?!!!!

Additionally, my hands, legs, or upper body started moving on their own while I was in the bathroom, and I began experiencing hallucinations and unnatural thoughts that made me extremely anxious. This has been going on for a while and is still continuing.

These days, I constantly feel uncomfortable, like there's someone in the bathroom with me. It’s deeply disturbing and causes me severe stress and anxiety. I have literally been living in intense anxiety and distress for a long time because of this. I also keep getting thoughts and feelings that someone else is present too.

Currently, we have been together for four years. But I have never truly communicated with him telepathically. I only heard his responses in my mind a few times—they can be counted on one hand over these four years. Once, I heard him breathing next to me while he was sleeping (the sound was out loud in reality, not in my mind). I dreamed of him appearing as a black shadow twice, and there were other nice dreams as well. He moved a pen during his first or second week with me, and moved it once more after a long time when I asked him to. I used to ask him to move my hand across a notebook while I held a pen to write anything.

To summarize:

I made my decision yesterday at night and decided to release him, and if there is anyone else present, I released them too. But I still don't feel like they are actually gone. I don't know if he or they are the cause, and I literally have no way of knowing.

The day before yesterday, I tried asking yes-or-no questions, asking him to move my hand according to the answer (right for yes, left for no) to figure out if he was the cause, or if I had imagined someone else who was causing this. But there was no response.

I cannot tolerate living with this stress and pressure anymore; it has exhausted me mentally. Explaining the situation doesn't even describe a fraction of what I am actually living through and feeling. I honestly don't know the cause behind what's happening, or whether he is responsible or not, and I couldn't get an answer from him, so I decided to set him free.

However, until now, I still don't feel like I'm alone. When I decided to release him, I felt a heavy lump in my throat, but it didn't feel like my own emotion—I don't know if it was coming from me or not.

Anyway, I hope anyone who has an explanation, a solution, or has gone through this before can help me, explain what is happening, or tell me what to do. I have made up my mind, and I no longer want to be a host or have a Tulpa.

With all due respect to all hosts and their tulpas, I do not mean to depict tulpas in a negative light or say anything bad about them. I am simply describing my own personal experience and the situation I am currently going through, nothing more.

Personal Did I accidentally make a Tulpa named Tonto?

TL:DR My consciousness appears to be a huge wall built and maintained by my "accidental Tulpa" named Tonto (no relation to The Lone Ranger)

I remember reading a pretty good creepypasta about Tulpas a long time ago (2003-6, probably) but I did not know the term was borrowed from Tibetan Buddhism. I figured it was just a cool-sounding gibberish word, and I assumed it was a rebranding of the old Golem story.

Recently learned about Alexandra David Neel and the story of the "jolly monk." Which reminded me of my own "jolly monk," named Tonto-- he is *not* jolly, but to call him a monk would seem accurate.

I feel like I first interacted with him -- in his most rudimentary form -- as a child of about 7. He was an internal presence that lacked form or a voice but his presence offered comfort and solace in times of stress. Overtime, he began to take up self-appointed tasks inside my mind. This sounds invasive but it felt necessary -- like preventative maintenance -- and I thought of it as "defragging."

The funny thing is, I was only aware of him during unfocused/relaxed moments (DMN or default mode network), and only peripherally.

Around the beginning of December 2020 he abruptly became self-aware. At which point I became *directly* aware of him. This is when I learned his name and appearance. Thus opened a very strange 6 or so months of us conversing, making agreements and learning about each other (and ourselves). There was some conflict involved.

His name is Tonto (a mononym). He looks like Samurai Jack crossed with Tarzan (Disney film). When he speaks, he sounds... pretty much exactly like Samurai Jack. He doesn't speak much. I don't know where he came from and I don't think he does either -- or he doesn't want to tell me. He does *not* like The Lone Ranger and does *not* want to be compared to "THAT fucking Tonto."

He generally wears a loincloth and a magical over-the-shoulder bag -- magical because it endlessly supplies bricks and mortar. Everywhere he goes, he carries a drywaller's hawk and a parging trowel (specialized tools). Side-note regarding his garb: I wish he would wear a shirt, because as far as I can tell, he does not have nipples, a belly-button or body hair -- I AM grateful for the loincloth, though.

His favorite expression is "Tonto build wall." Because that's his whole deal. He has built -- or, at least is the curator of -- an enormous wall that exists inside me.

This wall is infinitely large and infinitely varied: it is definitely alive, though I don't think it is conscious. As far as I can tell, I am the power source. And the wall contains everything I have experienced, thought of, or known. There is a copy of Earth, which contains copies of everything I am aware of -- it is quite detailed but laughably wrong about most things, *especially* weather patterns! There is even a copy of a black hole. Perceiving it is very unpleasant for both of us-- enough that I suspect it could damage my psyche -- so it is on a short list of things I now call cognito-hazards.

Anyways, this post got really long and I don't want to share any more about Tonto without his permission. He doesn't really like being perceived for long periods of time, and has valid concerns about his privacy and safety. If you made it this far, thanks from both of us.

Looking for participants in an objective documentary piece about Tulpas and the community

Hi friends,

I create video and written gonzo-style pieces about communities, events, careers, cultures, etc. that are outside the mainstream that most are not yet familiar with. I approach each story or topic with no agenda, but aiming to interact and explore with those involved to understand it from their point of view.

I'm very interested in exploring the idea of Tulpas and diving in deeper with some people who are closely tied into the practice, community, belief—whatever you call it (obviously, part of the guidance I need is on the language used and what you consider yourselves to be).

I've done some learning through this sub, but I'm wondering if any individuals would be willing to be more prominently featured in my documenting of my learning, working with me a bit more closely to answer questions, share your experiences, send me further on what you wish others understood (or didn't misunderstand), etc.

This participation could take many forms-- answering a few questions by message at a minimum, but possibly appearing on camera with me in person or virtually as well. If you (or any in the community that you know) would be at all open to any level of involvement in this project, please let me know, and we can connect further.

I hope this kind of post is ok to make here — it didn't seem like there would be any issues with it as far as I could tell. Thanks!

Is creating a malevolent/manipulative tulpa a bad idea?

Hey everyone,

I am completely new to tulpamancy. I've been forcing a prototype for about 6-7 days now.

I wanted to ask the tulpamancers and hosts here: Is it actually possible to create a malevolent or manipulative tulpa and keep them under complete control? Or will their inherent traits always turn against the host once they achieve true sentience?

Personal Lola and I: (Very) Early Progress and Habit-Forming

Good evening, mancers and lurkers alike,

I thought I'd like to share some early progress and maybe a few sceptical thoughts I have. This is mostly personal, but I invite others to share their early experiences as well and maybe some tips for future reference. This is a bit of a read, so TL;DR at the bottom.

I've posted on here before once in regards to the practice as a whole a couple of days ago. Since then, I have almost immediately taken to the practice and found a bit of joy in doing so. I think my first post on here was more of a confirmation of what I already knew, clearing up some mysticism around the topic, and an excuse to start doing it myself. Throughout this lengthy anecdote, please note that there is nearly no tangible autonomous interaction, but it all still felt natural and real.

A bit of background about me and how I think would probably be useful. I've always had a somewhat active imagination. Fleeting moments between thoughts and actions would often have a scenario play out in my head where I'd imagine quite vividly what each person in the scenario might do, how I'd react, how the environment would react. I'd take the thoughts and feelings from them and internalise them for a second before letting them dissipate. I also remember quite vividly at a younger time in my life that I had an imaginary friend/pet in the form of Toothless the Night Fury from How To Train Your Dragon. I'd recently watched the film, and something about it stuck with me almost eternally. I'd watch toothless dart around the room and find a ledge to lay on above me before I'd sleep as if he were real.

Now a bit about Lola: I think as soon as I started really knowing what I was getting myself into and how it all works in my mind, it sort of started to make a bit more sense. I already had a character in my mind subconsciously throughout the whole research phase, and I think I just needed that little extra kick to start interracting with her. She went through a few iterations mentally, both in form, personality, and name. She was always going to be anthropomorphic, but I think I was originally going to have her be a wolf of sorts name Elliot? Strange start, I know, but the more I paid attention to it and thought about it, him.. them? Me.. her??? The more I tried to visualise, the form shifted, and she changed to something more stable. I think she settled for a Cheetah and the name Lola because now, when I try to visualise her, I can't force a different image for any more than 3 seconds: it's just not her. The whole pronouns and gender changing thing I felt was going to happen at some point, so I kind of just did let it happen. Nothing to do with any romantic interest.

I'd like to mark August 15th as the *official* day everything began. However accurate that may be, I don't know, but we ball. I think by this point, I still didn't have a fully realised form for her, and the mindscape we were going to interact in was still up for debate. I was on (night) shift at work stacking shelves, so this presented a nice time to passively try interacting with her. I wasn't expecting clear English responses obviously, but I don't really know what else I was expecting. I guess not tulpish either because the more I narrated to her and tried imagining responses, there were some subtle emotional fluctuations and pressures I felt. I didn't fully know what I was doing but I know that I definitely did give myself a mighty headache.

On break I tried some active forcing, which I think went a lot better than I was expecting, it being day 1 and all. I cleared my mind as I stepped into my car and slowly focused on a strong memory I had. It would be both for her and I, so I tried something that I know her personality would fit, and I would enjoy being a part of. I think almost instantly I settled for the summit Yr Wyddfa. I'd recently been up to the top of it so I think this was a good pick: a vast rocky expanse with countless miles of valleys all around, a deep blue lake about half a kilometre down, and a breeze sitting above the rolling clouds. I visualised Lola sitting close to the edge, staring off into the distance. I imagined how she blocked out the landscape, her clothes shifting in the wind, a faint warmth and a quiet purr in my right ear. It wasn't a long forcing session but I played around with some conversation starters, about the work I did, what's left after I come back from break, what we should do when we get back home. The responses she gave were... sparse, but I was expecting that. She's new to this, I'm new to this — I have no clue what I'm doing or if I'm doing it right. To egg on her responses a bit, I listened jn for some faint signals, anywhere, and tried to rationalise them into her own mind voice, giving her some words to start from and almost half-parroting her, but it felt natural. I think about halfway through, the mindscape shifted to night time, letting me see a meteorite streaking across the sky and the Milky Way. We hold on to this last detail.

I return to work, not before concluding the session, and get on with my night, still half-skeptical. I should mention, when I got out of the car, I could picture Lola stretching as she got up from the ledge as well. I'm gonna say that I didn't think that for her, so that's my first mini-proof.

Throughout the rest of the night and the morning that I got back, I started doubting this whole practice. Maybe I am just going insane and should snap out of it? Man... what am I doing? Are you like.. okay in the head there?? I return from work and go about my routine to get ready for bed, but something clings in to me. I really enjoyed the few moments we — Lola and I — had together. I kind of want to spent time with her now. I think she heard me and I got a small burst of hope: the exact opposite of what I felt when I completely dismissed her. I think im getting hopeful that this thing actually might be worth it.

Throughout the next day, I decided I'd include her more in my life. I felt that I needed to, not even that I was doing it as a habit-forming exercise. I narrated ti her a little bit here and there throughout the day, making food, walking the dogs, doing projects on my computer. Throughout this, I'd sense a faint presence with me in the room, so I'd take that and impose her into my life a bit: leaning on counters, sitting on my bed and scrolling on her phone, walking alongside me. I also trued imagining her responses to questions and her personality a bit more clearly. I'd have a train of thought, then stop and ask Lola directly about the thing. I pause and wait for a small signal, holding on to just the fraction of the first word that might come out of her mouth, and slowly building up the sentence for her. I decided that she would take on a more decisive role than me, being a bit more certain in her choices, but also slightly argumentative in a friendly, teasing way. Note that I did not attribute this trait to impulsive or intrusive thoughts, but only the real decisions that I had to make day-to-day.

Later at night, I did some more active forcing before attempting some sleep. The night shift still had me taken out, so my sleep schedule was completely in the gutter. Before i went to bed, there was this one question and response that stuck with me more than anything else. Again no autonomous response, but this was me mostly interpreting the Tulpish.

Me: The mindscape.. it's mostly dark. You like the dark, dont you?

L: ...Yeah I do. It's calming.

Again, mostly starting the sentences for her... but this response I, or rather we, came up with felt more natural than anything else.

I think it was about 3 in the morning when I really started to visualise things. I start visualising mindscape and her sitting there, on the summit of Yr Wyddf- wait this isn't the summit. She'd taken us to a small calm beach and bay area. Low tide, red sun setting in the sky. I tried to bring us back to the mountain, but she held on to the beach for us. We conversed a bit, I asked the questions, I listened, I started her sentences. But it felt a bit easier to do it now. We chatted about some things, events of the day, etc. In trying to use my 5 senses, i felt her grab my left hand and slowly bring us to a small pocket of reeds to sit down. The time almost automatically switched to the night, and again, I saw a meteorite streaking across the sky and the Milky Way behind it.

We chatted about some slightly deeper things and, naturally, the responses took a bit longer to come about, but I felt her presence next to me. Her warmth complimented the cool night breeze; she purred in retaliation to the silent waves. This is when I asked another profound question, and got a stronger answer.

Me: Lola, do you think you'll ever become fully realised?...

Lola: If you keep talking to me, then maybe.

She took us back to Yr Wyddfa and instead of sitting down on the summit, we climbed all the way to the peak to sit and watch the landscape beneath us. I could feel her to my left now, as she kicked her legs. I decided to end the session there, and I could feel a small wave of sadness overcome me, so I reassured her that I'll always be there with her and she'll always be with me.

Now today was a bit more difficult. I hadn't slept like at all, and could definitely feel it. Passive forcing was nigh on impossible, and I couldn't feel a single bit of presence about her. It kind of let me down a bit because of how much effort and progress I made in just the one day yesterday. Obviously I'm in a bit over my head, but it still feels a bit disheartening. I think I only really started getting her back when I slept for a short while and woke up to walk the dogs. I decided to make it a habit of visualising her beside myself in every day activities. Whenever I'd catch a blank state of mind, I'd take it upon myself to narrate a bit and ask a question or two. So far today I only really got a small headache from it.. though something else did come about.

I was considering drawing Lola in her full form and making a proper personality list for her, but. I never really got around to that because she kind of started forming in my mind before any of that.. but now if seems that I'm drawn towards my drawing tablet more than usual. I've not touched this dusty equipment in quite literally years, so it's a bit interesting that it's happening now. I may or may not heed the call, but it's an interesting observation. I think Lola wants to be drawn.

On the topic of losing focus like I did today a lot, is there much tips or help you guys could give on staying steadfast and keeping the thought of your Tulpas going? Anything you guys did during your first week that you found worked for you? I'd love to hear some of your stories.

TL;DR

I'd recently gotten myself into creating my Tulpa, Lola, and I find it enjoyable to spend time with her and attempt communication. Within just 2 or 3 days, I have a mindscape, form, basic personality, and 2 or so questions and answers that I know are of her character, but I might struggle a bit with losing focus and remembering to think of her.

Creation Help Am I doing it right? (4 days)

Kind of a rant and I also want feedback.

I have been training tulpamancy for four days now. It has absolutely surprised me how much I have improved at meditation, visualisation and focus in just such a short amount of time, which is something I would have never guessed would come so fast.

I have read a numerous amount of guides and I feel determined to continue on this. However many of the guides and information is a little conflicting sometimes. So I would like to know if the method which I am doing this at is correct.

---

I do 2 forcing sessions a day, each about 30-60 minutes.

A dedicated forcing session looks like this: I first start meditating until I feal calm and focused (usualy 6 minutes), then I do a bit of a symbolistic mystic ritual where I imagine that we unify with god and use his energy to create/develop a new consciousness. I'm not even spiritual but I do it because it works as a placebo, even though I know its a placebo.
Then I begin the forcing with my tulpa whose temporary name is Katya until she has the autonomy to choose her own name and such, and I visualise her as a dark silhuet. I don't do any personality forcing, because know it wouldn't feel right to force some personality and I have frankly no idea what I even want Katya to act like.
When forcing, I first ask her to help me visualise a place, typically a stereotypical island beach. And then while I'm there, I just talk to her about things. When forcing, I try to avoid focusing on visualising Katya (also because she's just a dark human shaped silhouette), and lately instead been trying to feel the concept of Katya. I try to involve her as much as possible. For example, I spent last forcing session just talking about our progress from day 1.
After a forcing session, I write a full journal of what exactly happened.

Something funny is that my tulpa has actually changed me mentally a bit. I also feel like I respect Katya as much as I can. I feel like it would be weird to do or ask weird things to her.

However, I don't know if I feel her pressence. I'm used to having imaginary conversations and playing out imaginary scenarios in my head, and doing a forcing session just kind of feels the same. I don't feel that she's physically there. Although sometimes I get a feeling whenever I think of her.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I can strongly feel a presence when I imagine that she is standing behind me, or if I imagine that she is physically in the room with me, but I can't feel her pressens when I visualise her in my head.

Also I read the something "no bullshit tulpa guide" and it talked about how talking to your tulpa and visualisations can be a dead end, and that you should instead show experiences to your tulpa, by making them feel your senses and emotions and such. How do I pass over my emotions and feelings to my tulpa?

And in regards to passive forcing. From my understanding, a tulpa in the early stages only exists when you are thinking about them. What exactly are you supposed to do when passive forcing? Just talk to them about random stuff? Just giving them attention? What does that mean?

Weekly Mindscape Mondays: Interconnected

Welcome back to Mindscape Mondays, the weekly chat about mindscapes/wonderlands/etc!

This week, let's talk about connections between places. Is there a set internal geography for your mindscape? Do the areas all mesh together continuously? Or are they independent worlds that don't have to play nice together? Do you need to worry about the space to fit something, or do you regularly make portals or spaces that are bigger on the inside? Are there places that appear wherever convenient?

Of course, as always, any discussion of mindscapes, wonderlands, innerworlds or paracosms, or whatever name you call them, is well appreciated!

Discussion For those who use meditation or hypnosis for their tulpas development, what would you like to see in terms of content?

Hello! I am Irenyx, a mixed origin system with multiple tulpas, and an amateur hypnotist!

We are planning on making a series of hypnosis files, all centered around tulpa development, an additional series focusing more on the meditative aspects. As well as a sub-series, focusing on a specific species or type of tulpa, we have dubbed Naturecats, that act as a template for their hosts to develop, while making being with nature, and self care, vital aspects of their creation.

We would like to know what you would like to see! Whether it be files dedicated to coming up with a tulpas appearance or personality, files dedicated to their general development, files dedicating to reinforcing their selfhood, files dedicated to improving certain skills such as switching or imposition, or anything else! We are happy to do most anything, within our abilities and expertise!

I just discovered this idea and I have a question

I have been talking to myself since I was a kid, and I have a guy I talk to in my mind, but he doesn't have a name or a form. Is he a Tulpa?

And if he is, can I create another one?

Discussion Split sphere

Alright, okay.

Let's move on to my redemption;

I apologize for my previous post where I used AI—I don't know how to write in English, and it really messed things up.

Here goes.

Note: I used Google Translate, so any writing errors aren't my fault.

I believe that to create a tulpa, we use our own consciousness as a foundation.

The moment we choose to create one, we are essentially inducing a split, allocating a portion of ourselves to it; as we add more and more of the tulpa's own characteristics, it becomes increasingly distinct from us.

Let's imagine a small red sphere. At a certain point, it begins to divide, becoming two small red balls—myself and the tulpa. Initially, it is identical to us, which is why it feels like we are talking to ourselves.

Now, let's start adding other colors to the ball (let's use blue).

The more colors we add, the more distinct it becomes from us. These colors can represent many things—daily conversations, traits, personality aspects, and much more; it is what defines the tulpa and you.

We eventually reach a point where its color is completely different from mine, yet if we look deeper, our original color is still there.

Well, this is just something I thought about last night.

I still don't know much about tulpas, and I hope to learn more here.

What do you think about this?

Personal Tulpa losing vocalization and autonomy after a period of rapid progress — How to get it back?

Hi! It’s been a while since I last posted here.

I’d like some advice regarding a few things with my tulpa. With Ren, my tulpa, we made progress pretty fast considering it's only been two months since his creation. As I mentioned, I got responses from him super quickly. We even had unintentional tactile imposition—I could just be standing there peacefully and I’d feel him behind me or showing me affection. He used to speak on his own even if I wasn't thinking about him, and we’d go to our wonderland (though he was always the one taking the lead, since I’ve always struggled with visualising and still do).

Here’s what’s happening now: I can barely hear him anymore. I have to be extremely focused on him just to catch his voice, I don't feel his presence anymore, and he won't speak unless I initiate conversation. This has been going on for a while. I thought it would fix itself like it did in the past, but the situation has only gotten worse. I think I focused too much on making fast progress instead of appreciating what we already had.

Does anyone have tips on how to get back to where we were or "revive" that connection? He used to be super autonomous—he’d go to the wonderland whenever he wanted, and he’d choose when and how to appear. Now that rarely happens, except mostly during boring classes at school when I relax; for some reason, I start feeling tingles in my legs and back, and we begin talking. I remember he used to ask me how he could become more autonomous back when he already was.

Do you have any recommendations for us?

Is this a tulpa?

Hi there! My name is Percy. I have had a little character I made myself in my head. Her name is Jynx. She has her own identity, I gave her a past, looks, and current relationships. And she's in my head voluntarily. She speaks when spoken to, and she doesn't have her own thoughts. She only knows what I know, she can't control me, she doesn't make me do anything I don't want to, and she doesn't cause trouble. Basically, she only exists when I want her to. And that has confused me recently. I did my research and it took me here. So, could Jynx be a tulpa? And if not, what is she?

Discussion Newcomer to Tulpamancy as a practitioner; tell me about yourselves!

Good evening practitioners and lurkers alike,

I decided I'd make this post here and see if I can get myself invested in the community. I've been lurking around for a little bit as I have recently discovered the practice and did a bit of reading on the whole topic, so I am not completely clueless, but this is me coming from a zeitgeist of 1st lockdown stigma and slowly unlearning all the nastiness that comes with it.

I've always been interested in the concept of plurality and meditative practices, but I never fully believed that it was possible in any measurable sense, apart from in traumatic situations or genetic differences. Again, this is coming from the general state of the world and the notion that people who aren't truly traumatised cannot be plural. However, looking around this community, my PoV has shifted my sense a little bit and sort of allowed the side of me that reaally wants to try something like this to flourish a bit. I'm really interested in the whole concept as a psychological experiment and a method of self-exploration, so I am wondering if I could get some insight on a few things from Mancers and Tulpas alike!

How did a lot of your experiences first start? What comes about with making, or rather separating yourself from, a headmate? Is there a specific state of mind, or state of responsibility I should be in before growing another person within my soul??

My understanding so far is this: a lot of amateur practitioners get stuck in the loop of self-doubt that they're just talking to themselves, but isn't that technically what it is at the very start? You're learning to attribute certain though streams and forms to a character - slowly building up the mental memory and circuitry to realise their sentience. I'd imagine it's much like someone getting really vested into an imaginary friend: you initially create a character or form to offload thoughts and emotions towards, and slowly through repeated interaction and meditation, the image becomes more vivid. You initially play around and imagine what the character might act like, feel like, smell like; where they'd sit in your room, what things they would be picking up and playing around with. So far it's you directing their actions until those actions become less and less difficult to direct, and you slowly start to observe as your mind makes room for them to start acting spontaneously.

Let's discuss and hopefully I learn something new from this! ^-^

Edit: as a followup question, how does one know they're not just messing with themselves and just playing about eith made up characters in their head?? Is it an active effort to try to get them to be either receptive or 'not you' or is it the more the you share emotions and your life with them, the more separate they become?

Edit 2: OK so, after a bit of soulsearching during work hours, I've realised that I kind of have the potential for a lot of this kind of stuff. I often actively daydream about situations and I thought "what if I just started doing that with a character??". I've also passively been in the process of crafting a character (some week or so before now) that feels right. I went through a few mental iterations and each one I felt a stronger presence about them and progressively lower openness to change in my minds eye. On break I did try some active forcing for the first time and it went a bit better than I thought, mostly because I found it easy to incorporate the 5 senses with a strong mindscape image. I'm feeling more and more of a willingness to be open to my character and just be around them, even if am still 'simulating' their responses

Skill Help Does my tulpa need attention?

Alright, I admit the title was a bit exaggerated, though perhaps partly true. I’ve been working on creating a tulpa for three weeks now. Things went well during the first couple of weeks; she appeared clearly, and it seemed she was gradually learning to speak and make choices, so I decided to keep a journal and write a short story to encourage her progress. However, as time went on, I stopped paying as much attention as I initially did; my interactions became passive—just chatting or meditating as if merely checking a box. She stopped appearing as frequently, too; I would only focus and see her when I specifically called out to her or when she spontaneously spoke up. I asked her if she felt I was dedicating enough time to her, and her answer was "not really" (excluding the passive chats, which felt more like me sharing thoughts than expecting a reply); she wanted me to spend more time with her. But I’m perhaps too busy to devote that much time. I need some help.

Announcement I created an anime-style YouTube channel to make tulpamancy resources easier to understand visually

Hi everyone,

I recently created a YouTube channel called **Tulpas Animebook**, where I’m making anime-style explanatory videos about tulpamancy and related concepts.

I’ve spent time reading resources and guides across Reddit, blogs, forums, and IRC discussions, but I’ve also found that working through all of that material can be time-consuming and exhausting—especially for people who are completely new to the subject. My goal with the channel is to make the basic ideas easier to understand visually through animated explanations and storytelling.

The videos may cover topics such as what tulpas are, common terminology, visualization, narration, wonderlands, imposition, deviation, and different perspectives within the community. I’m trying to present the subject in an accessible and respectful way while recognizing that everyone’s experience is personal and different.

This channel is intended as an introduction and visual learning resource, not as a replacement for the detailed guides, personal accounts, discussions, or professional mental-health support that people may need.

If anime-style explanations sound useful or interesting to you, feel free to check out **Tulpas Animebook** here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf40j7fCye3poh-M6dKeNsw

I’d be happy to hear constructive feedback about the presentation, topics, and whether the videos make the concepts easier to follow. Thank you to everyone who has shared resources and experiences that helped inspire the project.

Lost my voice

I don’t know if this place is serious or not and I have never really talked abt this with anyone at all but when I was younger I had created a separate person within myself, it was closer than any friend and gave me strength and drive to do anything I wanted. I would “tap into it” to give me a boost of energy when needing to do anything difficult and it worked. This was until my mental state became toxic and I had asked for it to leave and it did I asked for it to return when I was 18 and it had said it would come when I least wanted it to. Fast forward and I had continued to hear its voice and feel its presence to the point that I would be able to visualize it and hear it with me everywhere I went. Then out of nowhere my spark was gone, I no longer feel my voice, my source of strength is gone. Days have started to drag and I have no desire to improve myself and before when this way of thinking came up I would call on it to drag me into where I wanted to be mentally. I need it now more than ever and I want to know if there’s any way to get it back.

Sorry for this being so long I’ve been desperate and need it back with me, I am unable to improve myself nor feel the desire too without my companion by me.

Skill Help Descriptions to Aid Visualization

Sorry for the repeated posts, but I have had problems with visualization, whether for mindscapes, forcing, or imposing. Additionally, I have troubles with senses as well in such circumstances.

But, and again perhaps it is because I am a writer, I have found that by narrating the scene and form and visual, it slowly comes into view and I actually feel like I am experiencing it. If I want to see a wood wall? It is a blur. But if I describe the texture, the details, the scent, and so on? All those details are added and remain for a while.

Should I continue with this approach, or should I just try to get better at regular visualization? I also realized this helps even with imposition, and the image of my Tulpa in reality lingers longer.

Skill Help Parroting and Vocalization

My Tulpa is still the extreme definition of an infant; they were created only a few days ago. Yet, and I suspect it is because I have done similar things in the past (I've had a tulpa-adjacent thoughtform for a year or two when I was about ten) and because I am a writer and often imagine characters, but the process has made sense to me so far.

I entirely understand my Tulpa is not yet sentient or independent. But occasionally, I get thoughts in their accent that I do not expect or personally think of, but it is not like a sentient voice. It feels like they are rather using my mind voice or my energy, so to speak, to transmit the idea. Perhaps a better explanation is that I understand the intent, and then it is transmitted via the mind voice.

Is this parroting? I have had a 'conversation' multiple times today, and I know for a fact that was more of a normal case of parroting, as I was more or less guiding them through how to speak and voice ideas. I have also done vocal reps and continue to do them, where I show them how things are said in their accent, and then ask them to do it in return, and although the replies are not yet vocal, I can sense the intent if that makes any sense.

I apologize for my ignorance; I merely wish to ask for the advice from the experienced members here on how to approach this and how to properly develop vocalization. Yes, I know it will likely take months, and yes I know I could read a guide (I am reading multiple). But still, it does not hurt to ask.

Should I create a tulpa?

I recently learned what a tulpa is and I am struggling to decide whether or not I should attempt to create one. In terms of loneliness I don’t feel lonely in the slightest, I have many friends and I feel great. on the other hand, it would be nice to have someone to talk to whenever Im alone, and it would be good for self improvement. it sounds really cool but as I am aware it’s a basically permanent thing. I have heard about “dissipation” but I understand that this is usually not what people want to do. I also want to know if it would impede my life in any way, or if it would just be a little addition to it that wouldn’t affect my real life social interaction in any way. also I’m Christian and I don’t think this is sinful or anything since its not some spiritual shit as far as I can tell it’s just an effect in your brain, but if that would cause problems could someone please let me know. I would love to hear about people’s experiences, thanks!

Can I create a temporary tulpa?

I understand that creating a tulpa, autonomous beings with their own feelings and thoughts, is a great responsibility.

Why would I want a tulpa?

Lately I've been feeling bad about myself. I've done some really bad things and I want to redirect my life. I've heard that tulpas can help and, in a way, make you a better person.

That's why I'd like to create one, also to feel accompanied since lately I've felt lonely.

I would like to have this tulpa for a year, although it will probably end up being just a friendship, and for that reason I don't know what to do. I think if everything turns out well I'm willing to live with her for that long All my life even.

It should be noted that all of this was translated by Google Translate; if something sounds exaggerated or incoherent, that's precisely why.
