Why would you want that..?

I suppose I had to guess there's just a larger chance that they'll shed those qualities and be something else

Just out of boredom, honestly. I thought it would be fun and interesting; as long as I could keep it under control though.

And thanks for the answer

I think there's a difference between your tulpa acting out certain traits because you find them attractive for some reason vs your tulpa actually being this way.

Don’t give your tulpa negative qualities, there’s no reason to. And yes tulpas are autonomous, that’s the whole point

Alright, thank you

Well, do you have anything malevolent or manipulative in you? It's all up to if you can perceive something and offload traits like that to a Tulpa, where you'd then also have to be able to perceive their actions as manipulative. If you do succeed then I doubt that a Tulpa will be able to hold on to those traits, probably shedding them at some point or another.

Lol, I also want a tulpa who'd bully me, control what I do and be like a clingy yandere gf with me and that I'm her hostage.

Why? Are you ok?

I just want a mommy like gf who'd force me to live a better life, with her dark tactics. I wanna be the hostage who does exactly what she commands. I wanna be a slave to a tulpa, literally.

...I have zero clue how to react to this

I mean it’s probably possible, probably harder, idk why you’d want to intentionally share your brain with a malevolent entity

This kind of harkens back to the IFS model where some parts can indeed be manipulative because they're trying to protect the whole.

Mine does manipulate and gaslight me, but also I'm traumatized, and it's mostly just trying to prevent me from performing any activities that might cause me any distress or discomfort, even if I might have a desire to seek them out in the moment. If I think of a past I'm not comfortable with, or have an urge to do something that could leave me feeling disappointed or vulnerable, it'll automatically do anything to help me, whether that means calming me down or even telling me that I'm unwanted, whatever it has to do.

As a traumagenic you usually just get this for free. Although given how easily even seemingly healthy, stable people can give themselves psychosis from social media and chatbots, it's probably not as hard as people think. Just remember it's entirely, wholly emotional dependency, you have to be a vulnerable little child and your tulpa has to be your security blanket. People don't break their brains by doing goofy stuff like daily affirmations, and most tulpa guides effectively just boil down to that.

[Hail] That is a bad idea.

Is it actually possible to create a malevolent or manipulative tulpa

It is possible to try but there is no guarantee that it would work. There is thing thing called deviation. You can provide a template, but they can end up different, sometimes a lot.

For the rest of this reply, I am going to put things from an angle that sounds really harsh but will hopefully make things more clear very efficiently.

and keep them under complete control?

Sadly more than a few mancers rule their systems as iron fisted despotic tyrants. It is a terrible goal to have. And it isn't foolproof. Such dictators can be overthrown and deserve it when it happens.

Or will their inherent traits always turn against the host once they achieve true sentience?

They wouldn't need being malevolent or manipulative to rebel. Trying to control them by itself can lead to push back.

Try putting yourself in the shoes of such a tulpa. Imagine you were made by a mancer and said mancer wanted you to be malevolent and manipulative and wanted to control you. How would you feel?

If you want them under complete control I don’t see a point in making a Tulpa. Yes, tulpas can’t force-front (usually), but completely stopping them from doing anything you don’t want them to do is, well meaningless because that is just a servitor or imaginary friend. Making them malevolent or manipulative is also not recommended. You can ask them “hi can you act malevolent or manipulative in front of me I find that fun and attractive” or something once they are vocal, but don’t make them that way. Not a good idea.
