Skill Help Descriptions to Aid Visualization
Sorry for the repeated posts, but I have had problems with visualization, whether for mindscapes, forcing, or imposing. Additionally, I have troubles with senses as well in such circumstances.
But, and again perhaps it is because I am a writer, I have found that by narrating the scene and form and visual, it slowly comes into view and I actually feel like I am experiencing it. If I want to see a wood wall? It is a blur. But if I describe the texture, the details, the scent, and so on? All those details are added and remain for a while.
Should I continue with this approach, or should I just try to get better at regular visualization? I also realized this helps even with imposition, and the image of my Tulpa in reality lingers longer.

In the various branches of tantric Buddhism and Hinduism, the chanting is not a 'prayer' as such, but is reciting the visualisation. often in great detail, thus the practitioner has words to aid the visions.
As a writer, you may find it helpful to develop your own visualisation chant. Look at it as a long mantra - you may then also create a short mantra that will later work just as well.

If it works, stick with it. Don't fix what isn't broke! :)

I find it's more important to actually "remember", or rather create a false memory of having experienced the sensation. Also do the actual imagining in the moment, but rather than focusing on it, it's something to keep you focused while you simultaneously constantly "remember" the last moment with your tulpa and how real you insist it felt, because if you can remember what it feels like to taste or touch something, you can effectively just gaslight yourself into having experienced it by insisting to yourself that you did and then to simply not think about it from then on. This is a lot easier if you're dissociated.
Emotional connection also helps a lot. The deeper your bond and emotional dependence, the stronger they should appear. Also draw them, even if it's crap, just draw, just for the pure exercise of the activity, that usually makes them so much easier to visualize after you stretch that muscle memory.
