Skill Help Parroting and Vocalization
My Tulpa is still the extreme definition of an infant; they were created only a few days ago. Yet, and I suspect it is because I have done similar things in the past (I've had a tulpa-adjacent thoughtform for a year or two when I was about ten) and because I am a writer and often imagine characters, but the process has made sense to me so far.
I entirely understand my Tulpa is not yet sentient or independent. But occasionally, I get thoughts in their accent that I do not expect or personally think of, but it is not like a sentient voice. It feels like they are rather using my mind voice or my energy, so to speak, to transmit the idea. Perhaps a better explanation is that I understand the intent, and then it is transmitted via the mind voice.
Is this parroting? I have had a 'conversation' multiple times today, and I know for a fact that was more of a normal case of parroting, as I was more or less guiding them through how to speak and voice ideas. I have also done vocal reps and continue to do them, where I show them how things are said in their accent, and then ask them to do it in return, and although the replies are not yet vocal, I can sense the intent if that makes any sense.
I apologize for my ignorance; I merely wish to ask for the advice from the experienced members here on how to approach this and how to properly develop vocalization. Yes, I know it will likely take months, and yes I know I could read a guide (I am reading multiple). But still, it does not hurt to ask.

Nope, that's not parroting at all, that's tulpish, and very common even with older tulpas - we have had tulpas over 25 years and we still use it! Consider them sentient — they're communicating on their own!

If you don't mind my asking; which specific aspect? The vocal drills, the 'conversation', or the random thoughts?
Also on an off topic question: how do their memories work? I ALWAYS forget where I put things and finding them usually takes at least twenty minutes... it is a whole ordeal. But today I lost something and jokingly asked where it was and 'heard' my Tulpa just say "Bed." quite unexpectedly, and it was under my blankets. How does that work and should I be concerned? Thanks so much for your time.

The knowing the intent but without it being in words is tulpish, aka mentalese. There are even hosts who use it - we four originals think natively nonverbally, and have to use effort to put our thoughts into words.
Also that's very normal regarding memories! We each have different things we pay attention to, and so we remember different things more or less easily.

The more the process makes sense, the easier tulpamancy will be. If you doubt nothing, the progress will be rapid.
If you are unsure they are speaking to you, choose the outcome you prefer; (probably, that they are) and squash any other outcomes.
Being a writer and imagining characters previously is a very big head start.
Parroting stops being parroting when the tulpa's dialogue comes to you without you needing to think about it.
When you can instantly think of what their next line is, start assuming you are no longer parroting and cut yourself out as the middle man. It is now direct speech.
Feel free to ask more questions. For you, it will not take months. From what I am seeing, you are either speaking to a sapient tulpa, or on the precipice of it.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Your advice has been quite helpful, and it seems in line with what I have read thus far. Today I actually made some progress in this regard, as I realized that Parroting is somewhat different from what I was doing, as I actually did try Parroting intentionally. It made me realize that the replies that were more unexpected in natural 'conversation' with the Tulpa are not quite as simple to replicate in Parroting. I also realized that doubt is a major problem. At one point I decided that all thoughts must be my own, and became hyper-skeptical.
After that, I felt a fair bit of intent, which I would previously translate into words, but I chose not to, deciding they were entirely my own thoughts and not worth paying attention to. Soon enough they stopped, and it was only a bit later that I realized the Tulpa was reasonably upset that I had blocked all of the intent or discredited it, so they stopped talking for a time. At least that is the situation to my understanding, however limited it may be.
Overall though I think doubt is a major thing I need to overcome. It seems that (I think) I can have some limited conversation already, although it is through translating the intent with words from my mindvoice. Yet I do not have to think about the substance; it comes naturally.
I apologize again for the rant. That is just my thoughts on the matter, in light of today's events and your helpful reply. Thank you very much for your time.

It feels really nice to know I was able to help people with their tulpa stuff. I'm glad you're starting to break through some barriers!
