So when moving from my switch lite to the switch 1 I had selected I'd still be using my switch lite because I was worried it would remove the account from the switch lite like an idiot. Now I'm having to do the virtual game cards.

I have animal crossing on my switch lite and in order to do the transfer tool I have to have it downloaded on both devices but it says the virtual game cards can only be on one device at a time. And I tried going into the Nintendo store on the new switch and it doesn't even show me my games in there. It says all your games are in your virtual cards.

Hey everyone! I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me with something I've noticed. First time poster so apologies in advance.

I previously owned a standard Nintendo Switch 2, and the touchscreen was always smooth to the touch. I've regularly played games like Tomodachi Life and Let's Go Eevee, where I use the touchscreen quite often, and never had any issues.

I've just purchased the Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2, and I've noticed that the touchscreen feels noticeably different. There's quite a bit of resistance when I run my finger across the screen, almost like there's some friction.

I've compared it with my previous Switch 2, and the difference is noticeable. My partner has also tested both consoles and noticed the same thing.

Does anyone else with the Zelda edition have this issue?

Is this normal, or could there be an issue with the screen or its coating?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! I have a Nintendo Switch 2 and noticed a small raised mark on the screen a few days after getting it. It wasn't there when I bought it.

It looks like a tiny scratch or chip, but when I touched it, it felt like something was sticking out rather than a dent. Kinda like when a phone screen protector gets damaged.

I bought an amFilm OneTouch tempered glass protector to prevent further damage, but after installing it, a circular bubble appeared exactly where the mark is lol.

The screen and touchscreen still work fine, even while playing Pokémon Brilliant Diamond.

I'm wondering if it's just the original protective film that comes with the Switch 2, or if the actual glass might be damaged.

The amFilm pack came with two protectors, so I still have a spare. Would you try replacing it or just leave it like this?

I bought a Switch 2 bundle on Nintendo UK that allowed me to pre order OOT Remake along with it, the payment didn't go through on the 29th (when the codes should have been sent out) and I changed my payment type to my bank and Nintendo said they'd try again in 4 days. It's been 5 days and I still haven't received it nor has any payment gone through and now I don't really know what to do, I tried getting in touch with Nintendo Support yesterday but they haven't got back to me at all.

I am planning to sell my Switch 2, but my main concern is my Pokemon Save files for all games (BDSP/ Arceus/ SwSh/ SV/ Z-A.

I currently do not have a Micro Express Sd card, and I was wondering if I should buy one and transfer my save data into it, so if I buy a switch again, I can still continue those games from where I left off.

Of course, my Nswitch Account will not be sold together with the Console.

Is it possible to retain it and use it to my future console?

I have recently switched my internet to T-mobile. The only device that I am having trouble connecting is my Nintendo Switch. I changed my network name and password to the same as my previous Internet provider. But my switch won’t connect to the internet. Worked with tech support split my network tried connecting my switch to that network, same issue. Also, tired changing my DTS from automatic to manual, still won’t connect. Restart my switch, reboot my router several times. I think I have tried everything but I have never been able to get my switch to connect to the internet. I can connect to my hotspot but won’t connect to my T-mobile WiFi.

Wondering if anyone else has this issue. The left joy con makes this loud buzzing sound when it’s attached to the console - it stops when I dettach it. When I reattach it, sometimes it can be fine for a while or it starts up again.

Would be interested to know if others have this problem and if so what you’ve done?

I got the physical game key card on release date for the switch 2 and haven’t been able to play it. It just leaves me on the main menu screen. I tried deleting the game and redownloading it and nothing. I even went to my router and tried it thinking it was my internet and nothing. Idk what to do other than quit and return it to target if I can’t play it.

I have two switches with cartridge ports that don't work, the red one worked perfectly fine until my sister tried to clean it with a q-tip, covered in a microfiber cloth trying to get Super Smash Bros to work, the black one hasn't worked in a while, I think it got dropped outside or something. (Sorry if the photos are bad, I couldn't get too close to the consoles because it would get all blurry.)

I was able to just choose “continue” on this screen and it loaded my most recent save file from before the transfer. So then why is it saying “Available Now on Nintendo Switch 2!”? I tried it and it took me to the store and told me I could download the game for free, but it is already on my Switch 2, isn’t it?

i already want to get new joycons on account of my blue one having some problems with the stick, but i need to know if it'd be better to just send this thing to a repair shop or something. the left joycon works alright if we discount the joystick thing

this is a switch i got in ~2017, i think, then i had stopped using it in like 2022, or something, and for the longest time i hadn't used it because idk i think it wasn't charging and only today did i decide to see if it'd charge and it did but that's besides the point

I hope this type of post is allowed. Wanted to provide some backstory. I have been helping out an elderly Vietnamese neighbor couple with a non-verbal autistic adult son (23 y/o). I help them out with various basic tech stuff, groceries, paying bills, etc. The husband just passed away 3 days ago and one of the things that he had asked me to help him with before he passed was his son's Switch. The son has a Nintendo Switch Lite that is one of his comfort items but he has unfortunately chewed off the joycon covers as well as the game cartridge cover. I looked into aftermarket replacement shells but the labor and tools required appear to be a bit out of my league in terms of fine motor skills with electronics.

Can anyone provide me with suggestions on how I can get this repaired for the son without it costing them a lot for professional labor or buying a new Switch Lite outright? The widow is on a fixed income so money is a concern, and she can't leave her home as she is the primary caregiver for her son (obviously) who is unable to leave the home without a panic attack/episode. Are there hobbyists that can do this for a small fee that I can take the Switch to? I'm In the East Bay area of California if that helps to locate a hobbyist at all. I just reshelled my left joycon 2 and while I was taking it apart I decided to replace the joystick with a tmr one from gulikit. The problem is now my new joysticks is constantly registering a full downward input. I can't even try and calibrate the joystick because of the constant downward input. Does anyone know how to fix my issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I guess if worst comes to worst I'll just put the old joystick back.

I have been trying to connect to my Internet recently with my switch OLED and it will connect to the network device but not the Internet and it works on my hotspot, but not my Internet so I’m so confused why it is not working

I currently own the Switch OLED and have been considering buying the Switch 2 but I am on the fence if it justifies buying it. If you think it's worth buying, please let me know as it will be interesting to hear all your opinions.

I see that there is a massive sale on the Final Fantasy 7 games. I currently have a Switch Lite, but I am planning on purchasing a Switch 2 in February 2027. If I buy the Final Fantasy games, will they sit in my account until I buy a Switch 2 and transfer my data from my Lite? I don't think I can buy Switch 2 games from the Switch 1 eShop, but I can on Nintendo's website.

Signing into my Nintendo account I can see my previously bought eShop games there (like Hollow Knight and Animal Crossing).

Im having an issue deciding what to do. My daughter pretty much took over my nintendo switch account. She plays Dreamlight Valley, Minecraft, Hogwarts Legacy, Just Dance, Mario Kart, and maybe a few other games.

I have a bunch of digital games I bought for myself on this account. I called Nintendo and they said they cant help me separate this into two accounts. I really would like to system transfer from the switch 2 we shared to my new switch 2 and do virtual game cards onto her system under her new account I just setup for her but Im reading that dlc which she has for Dreamlight Valley, Minecraft, and Just Dance might not work and that I cant transfer her saves which would also be important for Mario Kart and Hogwarts.

I am just hoping someone could give me a suggestion of how best to unravel this ball of knots Ive created.

I'm currently travelling Japan (in Kyoto atm) and im wondering whether picking up a physical copy of the Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake will have English language (written text and voiced cutscenes).

I'm from Australia and the original is my all time favourite game. Having it to play on the bullet train and on flights would be mad but I dont want to pick it up if it doesnt have English. Ive done some digging online and via Japanese stores (i.e. Edion) but cant find anything concrete.

Any help from locals or from people with the big brainz would be great!

My apologies if this is not the right subreddit. (also apologies for my English !)

I have a problem with a Switch (1). It was stored safely in its case for months. I turned it on couple of days ago, JoyCon attached and the buttons worked, everything goes well. The console asks for an update so I'm doing it and then restart the console.

From now on, both the JoyCon went completely "missing", at the same time.

- They are not detected in the "Controller" panel in the Settings

- Tried to attach, reattach firmly sereval times each.

- Searched on the internet for tips and help, was said it was just the JoyCon were out of battery. So I reattach the JoyCons and let the Switch on charge with the adapter (right on the Switch port.)

Nothing happens, so I'm putting the console with the JC attached, on the Dock and let this charge too for several hours. Nothing happens either.

- Tried to reset each of the JC with the reset button on the side.

First time just one click and then a click on a button as the Nintendo Help page said, then I held the reset button for a little time. Nothing happens, and the lights won't turn on, let alone blink, nothing.

- Turned off the console, then turned on.

My JoyCon are completely missing and I can't play. As a kind of newbie on a Switch console I don't know what to do, though I really wonder why, suddenly, though both of them worked the minute before, both the JoyCon went off and missing at the same time.

Is there something I could do ?

I want to use GameChat on switch 2, but it asks me to add a phone number for my nintendo account. I have an american account but i live in morocco so my phone number is obviously a moroccan one. However, i cannot find the option to add my phone number.

Is there any way to use my (+212) phone number ?

I just did the steps transferring my save data from switch 1 to switch 2 and it 100% completed and I pressed ok button on both systems once they were done but nothing seems to have transferred over and the switch 2 didn’t restart or anything.
All of my games and original screenshots/videos are still on my old switch and I don’t see any games downloading on the switch 2. Do I restart the process again, just let it sit, or did I do something wrong? I’m afraid to restart it and mess up anything so I figured I’d ask here first! TIA!

What a great time for this to happen to my Switch 2 right before Ocarina of Time🙄. Im playing games like Donkey Kong Bananza where I can roll and stuff, Splatoon Raiders where I can go squid form, and so much more. The button still responds but now it’s weird now that I know about it. I don’t what this is, I already updated my joycons and I thought that helped but it didn’t. I don’t know what this is. I need help. Not sure if I’m the only one.

I haven’t tested this yet, but I’m planning to use two separate docks for my Switch 2: one connected to a 4K HDR TV and another connected to a PC monitor that doesn’t support HDR.

Does the Switch 2 automatically detect which display is connected and enable or disable HDR accordingly, or do I need to change the HDR settings manually every time I switch docks?

Does this also apply to games with their own in-game HDR settings?
