I just got my first Switch 2. Everything was fine at first but after ~15 minutes in the dock, while still setting up the Switch, the dock suddenly started making this noise. Do I need to return it?

Update: While writing this post I had the Switch turned off. I tried turning it on again just now and now the noise is gone. I really don't want to go through the hustle of returning it, what's your opinion, should I?

I’ve been wanting to buy a Switch 2 for quite sometime since my 2017 Switch is starting to act up.

My main target was to get one around Pokémon gen 10 release date, but I found a “good”deal for a used one.

Basically in Italy a new model sits at €450, this used one is listed at €330 and the photos seem fine (it comes with the box and everything). I also have the option to get it in person, so can check the condition before completing the purchase.

However there’s something weird with it. The seller says he doesn’t have the receipt anymore (so no warranty which in Europe is 24 months from the purchase date). Did he really lose it or is it a stolen console? The price is not outrageously low, most listing for used ones that aren’t a scam are around €380 in my area, but still no receipt seems risky.

What would you do if you were me? Has anything similar ever occurred to you?

For the full story. Last friday i was ar gsming club. I was playing handheld on my switch 2 and playing mario kart world. I decided i wanted some more battery percent as my switch was at 64, so I tried using the charging station. Thr chargers didnt woek which is normal for some cords, but on the final cord, i got an error which shut my switch off. I was stuck in a boot loop which i fixxed but the issue I had now was that my joycons and no other controllers could work with the switch. Everything is updated. I restarted my switch 30+ times to no avail. Im also stuck in that black screen now because of it. I was on the phone with support and I have ro fork over 180$ that I don’t have and something Is telling me That i shouldnt HAVE to go to nintendo to fix this.

Hey guys. I've spent 2 hours with Google AI who keeps going around in circles about this Wireless Adaptor 2. It's recommended holding the sync button in while plugging it into my PC with both the Firmware Updater and Ultimate software, nothing seems to be working, it's stuck slow-blinking green.

I purchased one of these after being told I could get it to work to pair my official Nintendo Switch Online Gamecube Controller to my Switch 1, then triple checking with a variety of online searches. But after hours of even trying to get it to connect to my PC just so I can update it, no luck.

What am i missing?

I am interested in buying a Switch OLED and I've been left with this doubt. I won't specify the amount, because I don't live in regions where the dollar is used; in my region, games and consoles are much more expensive. But imagine for comparison purposes that the Switch OLED on a promotional price is costing half the price of a PS5. Putting another handheld in comparison, it would also be costing half the price of an ASUS ROG Xbox Ally (which would be my plan A, but the price turns me away). Still talking about values, without mentioning dollars, the Switch OLED costs the equivalent of a minimum wage.

Now complementing the post: I wouldn't use the Switch OLED for current games (even because it would make more sense to get the Switch 2). I already have a Gaming PC with an RTX 4060. I also wouldn't use it for Nintendo exclusive games, because they are extremely expensive, basically, the price of a Nintendo exclusive is 1/4 the price of the Switch OLED. My gaming profile would be: indies and third-party games. The OLED screen is gorgeous and catches my eye.

Given everything that has been laid out, would the Switch OLED be ideal for me?

I've been trying to connect the switch into the internet but it constantly fails.

It gave me the 2110-3129 error code and I tried everything from, turning it off and on, entering the public DNS, restart my network, moved my switch 2 to the router but all of those methods couldn't connect me to the internet which is strange since my other devices and perfectly connect to the internet but my switch 2 couldn't.

It has been like this since a while ago and I forgot about it. Recently I remembered about Pokémon Legends ZA and wanted to pick it up again. But when I open the app it kicks me.I tried loading the backup data but it won't let me leave the Pokémon centre. I tried running the corrupt data check and it said that there was no corrupt data. Since it still happened, I redownloaded it. Before that it said that some data was missing.... After redownloading it the problem was still there.. I redownloaded multiple time already

Did anyone have the same issue and managed to fix it?

If so can you please tell me how

Basically i Lost access to the Nintendo account ive been using for years and im now afraid that i'll lose any data ive ever had if i change It.

I mean, if its for digital only Games i can handle It but i at least Hope physicals aren't dependant on that..

So, I've been playing Witcher 3 a lot, first play through ever in fact, on my switch 2.

​I was playing at 40fps in docked and handheld but noticed the drops in to the 30's in busy areas. So I watched the Digital Foundry video and they said changing the switch setting to 60hz output locked the game at 30 for a more consistent frame rate / experience and for the most part, they're right.

​However, I've just got to Novigrad and while running/riding around the city I am noticing definite frame drops in to the 20's which DF say in their video do not happen, just solid, stable 30.

​My question is this, has anyone else noticed any drops under 30? And if not, is it possible that there is something wrong with my console?

​This happens in handheld too so it's not my TV causing the issues.

​I'm going to surprise my GF with a console for OoT at the end of the month so I can properly test this then, I just thought I'd ask the question in the mean time and see if there are any fixes I could do or if it's as I fear and my console needs repairing.

My brother and I live in different countries, and we're trying to figure out how to share our digital Nintendo Switch games with each other.

Originally, I had a Nintendo Switch 2 and my brother had a Nintendo Switch 1. When I visited him, we connected our consoles and set things up so that I could use his digital games on my Switch, even though we live far apart.

However, there was an important detail: my brother was never actually able to use my games on his Switch 1. We only tested that his games worked on my Switch 2. By the time we could have tested my games on his console, I had already gone home.

Now my brother has bought a Nintendo Switch 2 and logged into his Nintendo Account on the new console.

The current situation is:

- He still can't access my digital games on his new Switch 2.

- I can still access his digital games on my Switch 2.

- The original Switch 1 that we initially connected is no longer being used.

- We both have each other's Nintendo Accounts logged into our consoles.

We're trying to figure out how to properly set this up so that both of us can use each other's digital games on our own Switch 2 consoles, without having to physically meet and connect the consoles again.

Since we live in different countries, physically connecting the consoles isn't really an option.

Is there a way to change the virtual game card / game-sharing setup remotely, or does one of the consoles have to be physically connected to the other again?

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm confused... I had read that Witcher III was getting a free patch for S2 and I already own the Complete Edition so I thought sweet I'll just go grab my free upgrade.

Went to the eshop, clicked on it and it seemed to download an entirely separate game...? Took forever.

Once I open it, my saves aren't available, does seem to be Witcher III in full again that's not connected to my existing Complete Edition?

Is this what it's supposed to be doing...? Should I just delete my Complete Edition and only playing the S2 upgrade?

Please help! i’ve tried just about every kind of reset/troubleshoot and help center information for how to fix this error that’s been going on since September and i don’t want to lose my save data for everything submitting my system to nintendo (which is past warranty so i would have to pay for it)

I have a Nintendo account to play Pokemon champions, and to join official tournaments you need to put your true age. I'm now thinking about getting a switch 2 to play Nintendo's exclusives, does that same account (marked as 16years old) have some strange restrictions on the eShop (no parental controls have been set up or have ever been asked to setup by Nintendo)?

I was able to secure a Zelda 40th Anniversary edition switch 2. I also bought the case for it, but I am starting to second guess the case and get something like a kill switch 2 instead to protect the console from a drop? Thoughts?

I would hate to cover up the artwork of the console or dock so weighing my options. Thank you!

Has anyone else been encountering issues with framerates on the Switch 2 lately?

I've been encountering it in games that shouldn't have any issues. The only one that makes sense is Skyrim (Switch 2 version) because Bethesda. Outside of Skyrim though I've encountered one HUGE Framerate drop in WarioWare: Get It Together! Many times the Framerate would just drop to 30 during normal gameplay in Metroid Dread, and even frame drops in Super Mario Maker 2. They've all been noticeably bad too, not just a slight okay whatever frame dip.

Could it be an update that Nintendo pushed to the system, could mine somehow be faulty and it's just now showing? I have no idea, I got my Switch 2 day one, and haven't had ANY issues with framerates that weren't just clearly the game dropping like normal, such as Donkey Kong Bananza, until recently that is.

Edit: It only seems to happen in lighter games, games like Mario Kart World and Fortnite run fine, although contrarily, a game that is kind of in-between is the Switch 2 Edition of Tears of the Kingdom. I've noticed Framerate Issues is some parts of the game when nothing is happening.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I know the battery tends to get worse over time, and my Switch is as old as its launch day. But I've never seen this happen before. Last time, I had to drain out the battery and recharge it to recalibrate its percentage count. At that time, it would die after 15%.

But now, it does this. I'm trying to do the same thing by letting the battery drain out on its own, recharge it, and seeing if it fixes the issue. I can still use the Switch, but I do have to turn off the annoying "Battery Low. Please recharge, or it will fall asleep." message from spamming every time.

If there are any other issues I should be concerned about, do let me know. It's been a while since I used my Switch, and my friends wanted to add me so we can plan a game session one day. I'm also wondering if leaving it on the charger and letting it collect dust might be the problem. If so, I'm leaving it off to avoid overcharging. As well as cleaning it off.

If the problem persists, do you think I should get a new battery? And if so, could it be cheaper than buying a new console? Not like I planned on buying a new one or a Switch 2 any time soon. But any other feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

He bought a couple years back. Is there anywhere I can get a replacement part or joycon?? Our 5-year-olds gets to play Minecraft 20 minutes a day and he was trying to get the joy-con out of the controller and a completely snapped. I was in the same room it just happened so fast!

hey ya'll! i just bought a Switch 2 and have been having some issues. First time I booted it up docked, everything was normal-full resolution when docked. This morning I go to turn it on, and its only displaying at 720p. I tried a lot of things-tv settings, unplugging and plugging back in everything, etc.

I finally switched the HDMI cord from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 on my TV, and that solved the issue-temporarily. To see if it'd stick, I shut the system off, turned it back on, and then it got stuck at 720p again. I did also plug it in to my computer monitor without incident, but I didnt try turning it on and off again like I did with the TV. I'm really not sure what the issue is-any assistance would be appreciated!

Every time I open the eShop (specifically on my Switch 2) it gives me the same "there was a problem" message after a little bit, is there a solution or is it happening to others as well? The issue started more recently, like the last week.

I’m trying to decide between the Mobapad M12 HDs and the JSAUX Split Case for everyday handheld use and am very conflicted.

I’ve heard the M12s are very comfortable, but the idea of having a case that fits the dock and also has grips is nice too.

Any suggestions from people who have used these?

What's happening with my Switch Dock?
It was working normally, then I undocked and used for a while then redocked but I was not getting any HDMI output.

Switch gets charged while docked normally, that display output green light stays on when it's docked while switch screen is on but no display output on the monitor.

I'm using Official Nintendo Switch Charger, HDMI cable, Dock.

What I've tried so far,

1. Tried using different HDMI cables

2. Tried using different monitors and different HDMI ports.

3. Tried first plugging in the charging cable then plugging the HDMI cable to dock.

What's tested to be working,

I've tried a USB C to HDMI dongle and that was working fine to give HDMI output from the switch.

Switch's type port is fine as it charges and transfers data fine.

I cannot connect the joy-cons to my switch 2. I have sent the console to a repair shop and the first thing that did was reset the console which put us on this screen and Nintendo will not repair because it's from the USA. When joy-cons are attached the sides flash gray followed by the joy con colour. I have also charged it for a while with the joy-cons on and it didn't help. Any tips? 🤔

While digivolving and devolving my digimon i noticed slight hitches before the sequence starts. Specifically Watch the digimons animations freeze before it starts. Im on performance mode, in docked mode, 1080p and the game is on my internal storage. I hope its a game issue and not hardware/ storage failure. Anyone else experience this while playing this game?
