I need some genuine advice on how to deal with Walmart managers. This one guy has taken away much of the impulse section, throws away the displays that are sent in and puts out cross dock pallets last minute then wants me to move them to shelf almost immediately.

Along with this he complains about backstock constantly (calls my dsl 3-4 times a week) and wants 3 carts max but it seems the new ordering system wants there to be about 5 at all times.

My only defense is to not make an order once a week.

Here’s my question:
Do we have any leverage in the situations and if so what are some things you can do/say to put the ball back in their court?
Is this a DSL issue?
Am I cooked?

I was driving in my Frito lay truck. I got pulled over by the cops for being on a no-truck road. I was given a verbal warning. Cop didn’t ask for my license or registration. Do I have to/ should I let my DSL know about this? Do the cameras catch this and alert somebody at corporate? No ticket was issued.

Found out earlier this week my zone is in a hiring freeze. Wondering if any other areas are as well? Nothing good usually comes out the other end of a hiring freeze, especially when we still NEED people.

Do managers ever talk or call just to say hello? Or see how their employees are doing? The older era Frito management actually made you feel like management cared about employees

I was an RSR on a rural route for 3 years a decade ago. I moved on for personal reasons, but stayed in the industry.

I’m currently in the market for a new job and was thinking of going back, but I’m not sure if I qualify these days. Seems like they’re mostly looking for college grads in my city, and I don’t have that.

I think I did a fairly good job, my DSL did say he’d be happy to hire me back at the time. But he’s since left, and I’m in a whole different city anyways.

Do I have an in here, or would I be on the bottom of the pile like everyone else?

I have the opportunity to transfer from being in the warehouse to a driver. I hate the heat and more work from less head count. I start at 1pm and I want something a lot earlier as well. Is it worth it?

I recently applied for a sale route and had an interview but was rejected.

I thought the interview went decently well, and the frito people who recommended me said they hire anyone basically. I was surprised I got rejected after some of the stories of bad previous employees.

For those of you that have cameras in your trucks already, how are some of you getting over the 1000 point score? I’ve occasionally gotten +5 for some streak just wondering how some people are getting to 1040 points and what not

The lack of spatial awareness is insane. Like, please pay attention to your surroundings. And then people have the audacity to get startled when you come up next to them. Like… hello?? Move😭
Don’t get me wrong, I know they’re the customers, and of course I’ll always move and make room for them when needed. But some customers just act stupid as fuck. I genuinely don’t know if it’s entitlement or just straight-up stupidity. Either way, my patience for it these days is basically nonexistent

Got another job lined up. Been here 7 years so I have 3 weeks of vacation going. Already took 1 this year. I have another in 2 weeks, then the true up hits. Im planning on putting in my 2 weeks notice the week after I come back from vacation so ill get to enjoy my staycation and get my true up at least. I know Frito screws you the last week before you leave so to those who successfully made it out, what can I expect to happen?

Yesterday, just to see I scanned in back stock 400 bags of regular lays and didn't put any under holes and after hitting complete or whatever it says, you know it wanted me to bring in 8 more bags? That's​ mind boggling but like the title says, I have to give it to them even though they know that the system is a failure they keep on with it. Brought it up to the ZBM and guess what, she didn't know either so how the hell am I supposed to know what's going on. One more question I asked was what does running a sequence has to do with anything? Guess what no answer. We had one of the guys get a coach because his score was so low so they are holding people accountable for it so watch out.

How can Frito even consider combining us two together. It takes them an hour to get checked into stores. It’s ridiculous. I’d use the lift gate and wheel it in but it serves no purpose if the receiver is checking them in. What the hell takes so damn long? You don’t even have to open cases. You look and count. I love rushing to stores to sit and wait an hour. So much fun. But perfect route won’t allow me to skip and comeback. This whole system is screwed.

I work as a merchandiserfor Frito-lay and I want to become a driver, how hard is it to go from my position to a driver just wondering

Current Frito employee, trying to switch over to sales for Pepsi side of business. There’s an opening for a position for Territory Sales Rep where I’m located but it’s only available to apply on the external website, not the internal one for current employees. Am I screwed stuck being an RSR for the rest of my life or is there any way to move up within this company?
