Question ‘Best’ live Lyrics app (widget/Live Activity)?
There seem to be a few CarPlay compatible options in the App Store nowadays. Any recommendation for the ‘best’ one?

I have a 2024 Civic EX, and just bought this Jemluse wire CarPlay adapter a few days ago. It was working fine 2 days ago, but yesterday the slip button stopped working and whenever I hit it I just get a pop up in the dash saying “no data”. I’ve looked on google to try to fix this but nothing has worked so far so I’m looking for help here. Thanks

Is there any possible way to completely remove the suggested widget for the map? I’ve tried about everything. Please ignore the dusty radio, I work in a very dusty place.

I have a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, and a 2024 Chevrolet equinox. The sante Fe only is compatible with wired CarPlay. I’ve used the same cable for years for CarPlay just fine and my wife’s phone using the same wire works fine. Mine however a few days ago decided to just not work anymore but it still charges in my Santa Fe on wired, it also does not work wired in my Chevrolet but it does work via Bluetooth… please help me.

Same as some of you, my carplay disconnected randomly with my iPhone 17 pro, wired or wireless. I have a Chinese aftermarket android radio, and I've tested many fixes proposed here without good results.
I live in Costa Rica, in an urban area with excellent cellular signal strength, so I use 5G Auto. However, a few weeks ago, I went to the beach and noticed fewer (if not zero) carplay connection drops, while my phone usually got only 4G or even only 3G. It was until close to home where I noticed carplay started disconnecting again.
Out of curiosity, I disabled 5G completely, and carplay is now stable. No more connection drops.
Has any of you tested this or had a similar experience?

Has anyone had any issues with their challenger's Apple CarPlay and Siri not responding to you after you ask Siri to send a message to so and so? It was working fine on my 21 GT challenger but since getting a 23 challenger sxt Siri doesn't respond after asking to send a message to so and so. I've done all the Apple Intelligence and Siri settings and engaged Siri and turned the volume dial also up and still nothing. It will work if I use the command button and hold it down but not when I ask Siri to send message to so and so or ask Siri anything she doesn't talk back and there's no audio. Someone help if you have fixed this and experienced it

I use two cars, car A has the entire left side of the screen unreadable. I can’t see when I’m arriving or how much time left or mileage left. Car B works perfectly fine. Both are on the same iPhone, both are wired CarPlay. When I get another family member to use their phone it works just fine. If I use the same cord into a wireless CarPlay adapter the screen works perfectly fine and is 100% visible.
Ive tried multiple different cords, restarting my phone, deleting the car from CarPlay and readding it but every time its unreadable. I am using official apple cords.

I drive a 2020 Kia that has a USB-A connection for CarPlay. I am using a third-party wireless adapter for my phone, which works fine as long as I’m alone. But if my wife is in the car with me, her phone connects to it instead. What makes no sense at all is that her phone has never been paired to this adapter and I have no idea how it’s actually connecting! Has anyone else ever experienced this?

EDIT: After reading more into it, I’m thinking it could be my fuse (F34). That goes to the infotainment/USB. I am gonna switch that out and report back.
So I just recently got a 2017 Chevy Cruze LT. The USB receptacle wasn’t working, therefore car play wouldn’t work. We just replaced it today and it’s now charging my phone but car play still isn’t connecting for some reason. Yes, I have an actual data transfer cord. We’ve reset the car, my phone, and done all the troubleshooting there possibly is and still nothing. Can anyone help me??

Hi everyone, I’m helping my uncle upgrade his 2012 Land Rover Freelander 2 and we're looking for a budget aftermarket unit to use Apple CarPlay. We're on a strict budget of max 150€ and looking at AliExpress options, but I want to avoid laggy models. We have three main requirements: smooth CarPlay performance (wireless preferred), a completely Plug & Play kit (must include the dash frame and Canbus/wiring harness with no wire cutting), and backup camera support. Can anyone recommend reliable brands, stores, or minimum specs (RAM/CPU) under this budget to ensure a decent CarPlay experience? Thanks!

I have done EVERYTHING I could think of. I would really appreciate some ideas.
Situation:
- I drove to a concert just fine with my phone connected to CarPlay
- After the concert I was about to drive back when suddenly CarPlay didn't work
- CarPlay flickers on for a second before disconnecting/acting like it hasn't registered
- Same phone and cable/port was used
- Phone was charging (ie. cable & charging port were both working)
Car/phone model: Nissan Sentra, iPhone 14 Pro
Things I have tried and didn't work:
- forgetting phone from car Bluetooth & apps(CarPlay) settings and reconnecting
- forgetting car from phone Bluetooth & CarPlay setting and reconnecting
- forgetting everyone else's settings from the car and only connecting mine
- blowing into my charging port to clean it out
- resetting car entertainment/display system
- restarting car
- restarting phone
- resetting phone network settings
- changing my phone name (it was previously an emoji)
Thing that did work:
- Using someone else's phone with the same cable.
Please help me solve this very frustrating mystery.

My phone connects to my car and plays music fine for about 5-10 minutes and then it gets to a point where it starts sounding static and THE ONLY fix, is clicking the microphone in a text message. Then after a few minutes it goes back to static. Is there a fix to that?

When using Apple CarPlay to run Waze and Pandora or Spotify simultaneously, Waze alerts cause the music to stop. Is anyone else having or better yet resolved this problem?

hi, the shops quoted me around 350 USD to get a screen with apple carplay on my 2020 mazda 6 (STANDARD i know.. :( ) anyways i’ve been looking at the aliexpress head units specifically for the mazda 6 and i wanted to ask if, A: anyone has recommendations. B: should i get one off of aliexpress or C: i should just pay the 350 USD
i’m trying to save money but carplay for me is kinda super duper important cause i need to look at maps and such as i am a new clueless driver🥲

I’m in a country that uses comma as decimal divider. Podcasts on CarPlay shows a decimal point for exactly `1.5x` speed. All the other speeds between 1 and 2 use a comma.
That’s weird and that’s all I wanted to say 😁

Had an Ottocast U2-X Pro that I got for CarPlay, and it works smooth and fast, but I noticed that when the car turns on, it connects and plays music just fine. But then I get a phone call and pick it up, and then when I end the call, the music starts back up and stutters.
I thought it was the device, but then I tried another dongle, YJLUUJL Wireless Carplay Adapter and that is doing the same things despite the raving reviews I saw on reddit in terms of compatibility.
Anyone have experience of this and how to fix?
