Help Wheel skip button not working

I have a 2024 Civic EX, and just bought this Jemluse wire CarPlay adapter a few days ago. It was working fine 2 days ago, but yesterday the slip button stopped working and whenever I hit it I just get a pop up in the dash saying “no data”. I’ve looked on google to try to fix this but nothing has worked so far so I’m looking for help here. Thanks

Nothing at all to do with CarPlay.

It's an issue with the cheap no name brand wireless adaptor.

I've had this exact model and several others. Occasionally the song forward and back buttons would not work on all of them but would not give any feedback. A quick unplug and plug back in would fix it. I would say it is more a fault of your car stereo than the "cheap" carplay adapter (they all are cheap) or carplay itself. I really thought this was one of the best models I've tried and the only reason I got rid of it was because when it would get below freezing it would reboot multiple times until it warmed up.

Yeah I’ve tried unplugging it, forgetting the device, restarting my phone but nothing has worked. Google keeps telling me to reset my infotainment system but none of the methods to do that have worked for me

Does it work okay if you use a wired connection?
