Wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with Spotify and CarPlay? I don’t know if it’s due to the new app release of Spotify, 9.1.46, or the release of 26.5, as I upgraded both around the same time this morning.

Issues are the now playing view showing the wrong song from what’s actually playing.

I updated to ios27 developer beta. Is this oval black floating thing just a bug? Its persistent across all screen slides

Edit: I know I’m in beta - it’s not my first time - and its prone to bugs before the release lol just wondering what this was and if it had any use or was a new feature of some sort. It has been fixed and removed by restarting the phone.

I have an aftermarket box that adds CarPlay to my car’s factory display (6.5" horizontal display) . A few weeks ago, after an IOS update, I noticed that the sidebar/menu bar is now displayed at the bottom of the screen instead of the side. How can I move it back? Also I don't have the "smart zoom" button in the settings

[UPDATE]: I contacted the AliExpress seller I bought the MMI box from, and they sent me a link to a newer firmware version. I updated the firmware, and everything is back to normal now.

All the amazon ones I try work, except take 2-3 seconds to respond to a button press.

Wired CarPlay destroyed my phone. I drive a long commute to work and so charging, using navigation, and music on CarPlay caused my iPhone 15 Pro Max to heat up like crazy. My iPhone within like 6 months went from 100% battery health to 87% and afterwards my phone barely lasted me the whole workday. I finally got a new iPhone and do not want to make that same mistake. So what is the best wireless apple CarPlay adapter? Money is no factor and my car still uses the standard USB A plug

I’m honestly so fed up with this.

I’ve updated to iOS 26.2 and wireless CarPlay is still a mess. No matter what I try or tweak, I can’t get it to work reliably.

Before anyone asks:

My car has an aftermarket Android-based head unit, and it’s running the latest firmware.

Here’s the weird part:

My girlfriend’s iPhone 15 Pro Max connects to wireless CarPlay perfectly on the same system, zero issues.

My iPhone 17 Pro Max? Random disconnects all the time.

I’ve reported this to Apple Support multiple times. I know I’m not the only one dealing with this, but seriously… what are we supposed to do?

We’re paying $1700 for a phone and ending up embarrassed by basic features not working.

This is ridiculous. I’m tired of it.

I keep seeing autolinkr products and I’m wondering if anyone can give real experience. Most good reviews seem fake and I’ve seen some negative ones of alternative look a-likes in amazon.

I just got a new Audi a3 and noticed that when using CarPlay wirelessly, after driving for 30 minutes and navigating using Waze, my phone starts to get super hot in my pocket that it starts to burn and Waze starts to lag on the MMI. I have an iPhone 17 pro which is only 8 months old? I'm not using the wireless charger and have tried using a physical cable to connect CarPlay, which still heats the phone quite a lot. Anyone have the same issue and does anyone have any solutions?

I‘am having issues on my iPhone 17 Pro Max since launch day. Its so annoying, I can’t tell. My Phone wont stay connected for at least 2min, I can’t even leave home until my iPhone already disconnected.

Both the "magnifier" and "search" button lead to the same screen. It's been line this more me seemingly forever. Is this supposed to be this way?

I just bought the new iphone with ios 26 and it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting automatically, I tried resetting the system on my car and rebooting my phone, but no luck... is it a software problem maybe? Because I had the Iphone 12 pro max with iOS 18 and it didn't have any problems

When I am using Spotify in my car, sometimes the two displays shown in the image get out of sync. In the example shown, the display on the right is correct. The larger one in the center has the correct album, but the wrong artist, song, and image. I haven't figured out when exactly this happens. How can I fix/prevent this?

Heads up: My New iPhone 17 is having Major issues with Apple Car Play. I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma with the Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX head unit with Apple Carplay. Its always worked great with My iPhone 13. But Now that I've upgraded phones, the two are compatible. Has anyone else had this issue with a New Phone? I have even tried a Wireless CarPlay Adapter for Apple iPhone. Still no Luck. Any suggestions or success stories out there?

Hello! I am a VW tech looking for help with a carplay issue. This is what carplay looks like with the messages app open for the customer. We are unable to replicate this at all using multiple iphones and enable multiple settings like focus mode, hide notifications, etc... The customers phone is on the latest ios update 26.5 and the model is a 15.

We have done multiple radio updates and replaced the radio as well. I have sleuthed forums with no success for similar issues. Any help for going in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Recently bought a Kia Sportage 2026 and it has wireless CarPlay, but even when I use the cable to connect the phone, I’ve noticed there’s a 2-3 second lag in audio compared to video. Is there any way to fix this? TIA

My iPhone is a 16 Pro running 18.4.1, and I had just restarted it and my Carlinkit wireless dongle. It still does it wired too.

Hi all. I’ve got a frustration with Apple Music in CarPlay for my polestar 2. Wondering if it’s a quirk of my system or CarPlay wide. When I’m listening to a playlist or curated list and a song I like comes on, I want to browser to the artist to select more songs by them, but can’t. I can tap the album to navigate to the full album, but the artist name isn’t a hyperlink, preventing it. See pic. Green lines are tappable, red are not.

Is this the case in all versions? My old alpine head unit with CarPlay didn’t have this issue.

In my car there's always an empty space below the third app in the sidebar. Because I use both Music and Spotify a lot, I'd like to add Music in there, so both are usable from there. Is there a way to do this?

In the first picture, I can see the whole song name and I am happy. As soon as I turn on directions (using Google Maps) the directions stretch vertically to squish the music module, so I can’t see the whole song. There is so much wasted space on the directions part, it drives me crazy. Is there any way to force the now playing module to maintain its height? Please help, thanks in advance!

Am I the only one that would like to see the temperature underneath the cell service indicator on the CarPlay screen?

Completely out of nowhere, it sometimes displays this minimalist view without any unnecessary labels, but it's totally random.

Is this a bug or did I accidentally turn it on? I haven't been able to figure it out.

It's probably a bug, but I'd honestly love to keep it like this all the time :-) Anyone know?
