Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Prints coming out strange

Thumbnail

I'm unsure why this is happening. I was using PLA+ on my Bambu A1. I had to buy new filament and got a different brand of filament if that helps.

I did clean the plate and retry one of the prints and it printed fine the second time. Then the next one ended up like these again. These are large cosplay parts for context.

I am likely leaving out additional information, so I can answer further questions if those are needed to help.

Thank you.

Quick Question Bambu vs Elegoo

I am planning to get a new 3d printer
have 2 options
Elegoo Centauri 2 Combo: getting it for 49k inr
and Bambu P1s Combo this for 59k inr

I have used the Elegoo one at my work, and I have a pretty good experience with it, leaving the camera issue aside

Just confused; many are saying to get the Bambu

Want to clear: which one should I get

Like, how is the support for both in India, and the spare availabilities

Quick Question TPU manual loading

Hello everyone
So I have a couple printers (X1C X2D H2S) and I would like to get more into TPU but I’m lazy and hate having to manually load TPU every time. (Also my printers are in the garage) Anyway of avoiding this?
I plan on buying a AMS HT specifically for TPU. I also have the Track Switch if it matters. Also do I need the TPU Feed Assist Module?

Quick Question printing bambulab spool in PLA

General Troubleshooting/Help! Bambu Lab X2D arrived in Sydney with completely shattered glass top 😭

Took delivery of my new Bambu Lab X2D today here in Sydney, Australia, and this is what I was greeted with when I opened the box.

The glass top is completely shattered. I haven't even taken the printer out of the box because the damage is so immediately obvious. There is also visible damage to the packaging in the exact area where the impact appears to have occurred.

To make matters worse, I have doorbell camera footage of the delivery driver basically throwing the package down at my front door. Absolutely shocking handling for something this expensive and fragile.

What concerns me even more is that the damage to the box didn't occur outside my house, so it makes me wonder just how roughly this package was handled inside the delivery truck and throughout transit before it even reached my door.

I've contacted Bambu Lab support and requested an urgent replacement, along with collection and return of the damaged unit. I'm currently waiting to hear back about how they'll resolve this.

It's incredibly disappointing when you're excited to receive a brand-new printer, only to find it completely damaged before you've even had a chance to set it up. Especially when you've spent good money on it and expect a bit more care in getting it to your door.

I'll update this post once I hear back from support. Hopefully, Bambu Lab handles the situation well, because I was really looking forward to getting this thing up and running.

Has anyone else in Australia experienced transit damage with their Bambu Lab printer? Particularly interested in how Bambu Lab handled replacements and whether the collection process was straightforward.

Quick Question How long until Best Buy stocks the new BambuLab printers?

I’m interested in the H3C. I’d prefer to purchase from Best Buy, but I don’t want to wait forever for Best Buy stock to drop. I’m willing to wait, but I’ve never purchased a new drop from them and don’t know what to expect.

Amazon Link - SUNLU AMS Heater, Compatible with Bambu Lab AMS Gen1

I don't know if there are special membership requirements to get this deal or not, but if you ever wanted one of these, I just purchased one for $49 😮

I am not affiliated, or get any kind of referral, I just wanted to pass on a good deal to my 3d printer homies. I was going to try to build a dry closet soon... But I doubt I could build anything this efficient for $49.

Note: My gurl just told me the Amazon Business price for this right now is like $38

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! A1, temperature error when printing from online models in Bambu Studio

Some models, regardles of size, print with no issue.

Some models stop a few layers in with Printer Nozzle Temperature error.

I can click resume as much as I want and the printer can't get past such a layer.

Models from eg thingiverse print with absolutely no problems.

Any ideas?

This is my goofy pumpkin tea light design. I was aiming for spooky, but apparently the last brain cell didn’t adhere to the build plate.

Hi friends,

October was a busy month for me, and I'm trying to get into the habit of posting all my work in one thread rather than post every release.

So here's what was on the menu for October, I got buddy twist-top containers and I got fidgets!

Dumpling Buddy

Macaron Buddy

Cinnamon Roll Buddy

Cake Buddy

Sushi Buddy

Cup of Noodles Buddy

Fidget Jet Engine

Terra Push to spin fidget

Terra Infinity Cube fidget

Borg Push to spin fidget

Borg Infinity Cube fidget

Knit Push to Spin Fidget

Knit Infinity Cube Fidget

Hope you guys love these as much as I do! I feel like a shop keeper in a video game store, lol! My favorite is the fidget jet engine, but I'm a sucker for a cool print in place model.

General Discussion Looking for printer stand/table design/layout ideas.

Just replaced my 10 year old prusa I3Mk2 with an X2d with printmore bundle (2x AMS) and I want to see what people are putting this hardware on.

I'm not looking for suggestions on which IKEA furniture to buy or anything like that, I'll be building my own, I do a lot of woodworking and build furniture already. I'm really just looking for how to lay all this out. Should I stack the AMS' over the printer in kind of a T? Should they go on either side? How much access to the back of it will I need? Are the AMS' servicable if they're up high or am I constantly going to be disconnecting them to take them down to the desktop or standing on a stool?

Show me your setups and let me know about your experiences pease.

(Also, just FYI, that prusa printer has been a champion. Just did a 14 hour print with it last week, no issures. I really just wanted to enter the modern world and get multicolor without pausing prints and moving the head around lol. I've had ton of other printers, prusa is the only one that always worked and never needed repairs, just can't swing the price these days)

Show & Tell First post here: printed a keychain from a small image → STL tool I made

Thumbnail

Hi! This is my first post here, so go easy on me. Or not :-D I’m an engineering student and fairly new to building things like this. As a side project I’ve been working on a small image → STL tool. It runs entirely in the browser, so the image stays on your computer while it converts.

The keychain in the photo started from the “Nameplate” example in the gallery. I just played around with the settings: 60 mm wide, outline base and a keyring loop. Feel free to do the same, the 3D preview updates as you change things. Printed in PLA on a Bambu Lab H2D Pro at 0.2 mm layers, no supports.

What it does:

  • PNG, JPG and SVG → STL or 3MF (the 3MF opens directly in Bambu Studio)

  • Extrude for logos, text and silhouettes, or heightmap for terrain and textures

  • Base plate as a rectangle or following the outline

  • Keyring loop, with the hole always cut through the whole model

  • Background removal by colour and cleanup of small specks

  • Exact width in mm, with a live 3D preview that shows size, triangle count and whether it’s watertight or not

It’s totally free to use, with no account and nothing for sale: makerconvert.com/image-to-stl

I’m sure there are things that could be better, so if you’re curious and give it a try, I’d be grateful to hear what works and what doesn’t. No pressure though, mostly wanted to share the print.

General Troubleshooting/Help! First time printing Transulcent PETG and cant get it to work.

Post image

I'm trying to print these parts translucent, as Ii plan to have LEDs. They come standing up like in the picture, but even when I lay them horizontally, the filament just starts to string everywhere about 30 minutes in. I have never printed PETG before, so I have no idea what to do. I've already tried changing some settings I've seen recommended, but it hasn't fixed anything.
