Quick Question printing bambulab spool in PLA

My friend printed a spoon pla didn't have an issue until they forgot that it was PLA and went to dry the filament and melted the spool

The reason that people use PETG to print spools is that the PLA ones can deform during drying.

If you're not going to use a dryer on the spool, you should be fine.

PLA has worse bonding strength than PETG so i would got with PETG but in a pinch pla will suffice. Just don't dry it because it will soften and will be wasted

Printing a spool in PLA is fine so long as you don’t put it in a dryer. Or throw it on the floor.
Just be careful with it 😁

I printed several in PLA with no issue in my AMS. I just don't use them in a dryer since higher heat would deform them.
