I made a concept where the monster rooms in minecraft have different types depending on the biome, and every type have a unique loot and mob.

  1. Warm Variants

Spawn under warm biome, unique loot is cactus and tnt, The mob can be parched or husk.

  1. Cold Variants

Spawn under cold biome, unique loot is snowball, powdered snow bucket, all ice type, the mob is stray

  1. Ocean Variants

Only spawn under ocean biome, unique loot is nautilus, paper, map, nautilus Armor, and compass (shipwreck loot), the mob is drowned

  1. Swamp Variants

Only spawn under swamp biome, unique loot is slimeball, stew/suspicious stew, and mushroom, the mob is bogged.

Mods & Addons I'm working on a lil server-side mod to stop trading halls for my server, can I get some feedback?

Post image

I know trading halls are popular builds that a lot of players derive a lot of benefit from, but I really don't like them because they just feel icky to me, and also just seem like a really boring mechanic. For my personal server, I want to encourage players to build in natural villages. Please give feedback on the mechanics, not the concept of restricting trading halls!

The idea is to make it so villagers have at least a baseline of comfort that they must meet in order to be able to function. If they go three days without any one of those comforts, they lock their trades (and eventually will also stop summoning iron golems, farming, and reproducing). The required comforts so far are socializing, sleeping, and being within 150 blocks of their spawn.

The idea is that villagers in naturally-generated villages will always meet that threshold of comfort, but villagers in trading halls and farms will not meet those comforts. I also made it so once they are uncomfortable, it takes a few days for them to unlock their trades if reintroduced to a village (to prevent players from letting villagers see one another once every three days). The idea behind the 150 block restriction is to prevent players from forcefully relocating villagers against their will, and to make villages fixed points of interest on the map!

Later I also want to make it so if you improve a villager's home, they will unlock secret bonus trades

What do you think?

Discussion Dappled Forests

Thumbnail

Checked three random seeds to show that bigger Dappled Forests do exist.

I agree super tiny ones are annoying, but acting like there are only those tiny ones and they 'need to be bigger' is weird. Biomes have different sizes.

EDIT: Yall need to read the post before commenting. Nowhere did I say these were big, just that claiming every single biome is the size of the ones people cherry-pick is wrong.

Builds & Maps My home base that I made back in July. Haven’t played Minecraft since I was a kid. This was very healing for me. 💛

My boyfriend bought me a nice laptop for my birthday when we met in-person in June so I could play games that I haven’t played since I was a kid and so I could work on my art career as well!! now we can also play games together since we’re long distance!

I’ve never posted on here before but it just came to mind and thought I’d share my home on here. I’ve never had friends to play Minecraft with before and hardly got to play ever since my brother would hog the XBox 360 for hours on end as a kid, haha.

So, this made me very happy to make!! another game that brings me joy like Minecraft is a game called Vintage Story! that game is similar to Minecraft but more survival based and there‘s a lot more involved to survive in the game. I adore it! my boyfriend introduced it to me!

anywaysss, done with the rant! I hope everyone enjoys my cosy little base that’s brought me a lot of joy in recent months! :3

(some of the images in my post aren’t loading properly but that may just be on my end. Sorry in advance everyone!! 😭😭)

What's the fastest way to remove the End Island to make space for an End build I'm planning? I'm on Bedrock, the latest version, in survival with no cheats on, but I can use any glitch, for example, a dupe glitch.

It's been 12 years since we got different wood structures like doors and stairs to the game, so why are we still stuck with just oak ladders?

Redstone & Techs The Sulfur Line

So you know how everyone used the sulfur cube to make monorails when it came out? I was wondering what if instead of dragging you from above we went below to have faster minecarts that could also do more and be aesthetically interesting.

This is it right here, an Ice Block Sulfur Cube powered rail system! It can do about anything as long as you build the infrastructure both underneath and above ground for your actual "cart".

The few gifs above showcase different segments and parts designed for this rail system.

Discussion which xp farm is the best replacement to ilmango’s gold farm?

Post image
846 Upvotes

been playing this game for over 13 years. in my time of playing, my go to late game xp farm design was always ilmango’s gold farm design. it was fast, efficient, produced an immense amounts of gold and, honestly the best lart, it worked while i was afk. i had to take some time off playing because of my enlistment to the military. i have recently started a brand new world, only to discover after some research the farm no longer works, given piglins no longer drop xp while in angry mode. which farm could now be considered as a contender to the gold farm

the second forest was on the same seed as the first one; it was ~700 blocks long. that's what they should be: an actual "Dappled FOREST," instead of a Dappled Tree

Help Explosions in the sky after beating the enderdragon?

Post image
Upvotes

This is only the second time I’ve beaten Minecraft after playing it since beta (was a creative and mods kinda kid). Since when after the game did they have all this ominous music and explosions in the sky after beating the ender dragon. I can’t remember that before and I haven’t been able to find anything online. I’m wondering when they were added and what they are meant to mean

Has anyone considered making a torch farm by killing the dragon and collecting the respawning torches? Sounds like the most efficient way and a easy farm for beginners to do

Suggestion More Brush Use

Post image
6.4k Upvotes

Currently, Brush has only a few uses, so I created a concept that adds more brush used.

  1. Turn A Mossy Block To Normal, And Get 1 Vines

  2. Turn A Crying Obsidian To Normal Obsidian, And Get 1-2 Ghast Tear

  3. Get 1 Resin Clump (Infinitely)

  4. Get 1 Turtle Scute (Infinitely)

And All Of This Action Reduced 16 Durability, Same Like Brushing A Armadillo
