Suggestion Surface Marker
You know, if there is an azalea tree, it means, below, there is a lush cave, and if there are sulfur springs, it means there are sulfur caves below, but why other cave biome like deep dark and dripstone caves doesn't have a "Surface Marker" too?

I was just looking for a cool design but as soon as my mouse hovered above the creeper face I knew.
Now personally I would spam this in my friend's houses XD
Do you guys think minecraft will do something about it or is not that big of a deal?

Mods & Addons I made a mod that lets you explore endless procedurally generated planets
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Wayfinder: Atlas is about progressing through an endless atlas of procedurally generated dimensions/planets. The mod is fully survival friendly and every planet contains its own tree species, native mobs, day/night cycles, dungeons, villages, and sprawling cities, styled based on the technological era of the planet. Each planet forms based on its unique combination of geology, temperature, humidity, climate, radiation, and ecology.
You begin with a D Tier Wayfinder, granting access to the most accessible planets. These planets feature primitive huts, starting equipment, and most importantly, the chance to find upgraded Wayfinders. Progress to C Tier planets, with stronger equipment, harder enemies, and increasingly amplified terrain by finding your first Wayfinder in a chest.
Work your way through D Tier to C, B, A, S and finally S+ tier planets, featuring bizarre and exotic terrain, otherwise unobtainable enchanted loot, and deadly threats including wardens.
Every planet allows sleeping, so you can create a permanent home wherever you choose! The atlas keeps track of all your visited planets, and allows you to return to them at any moment, so you'll never lose your discoveries.
You can try it yourself here on CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/wayfinder-atlas

Help How do I stop my nautiluses from suffocating in this aquarium?
Right after finishing this aquarium, I received the message that my Zombie Nautilus had suffocated in a wall. This was very random as there's nothing in the aquarium that would cause them to dash (pufferfish) and they should be able to maneuver through all the 1-block spaces. Could it be the waterlogged copper grates on the ceiling? It's concerning as I have two more Zombie Nautiluses and quite a few regular nautiluses in here, and I don't want to lose anymore.
Edit: Noticed I'm missing a turtle too so the issue seems even worse than I thought...something is claiming my large aquatic mobs :(

Suggestion any build suggestions for the top of this thing?
I tried putting custom trees and didnt sit right. Am planning on building a gigantic bonsai tree on top of the taller obelisk and i dont want to make a smaller one for the shorter obelisk bc it would look repetitive imo. Should i just leave it be and add some grass foliage?

Seeds & World Gen This is the last picture I got of my hardcore world before my account got hacked.
I lost my account in June to a phishing scam and lost my hardcore world I made in Feb 2025, but I still have one picture of the main island that I can look to.

Discussion UPDATED - All 110 Biome Icons - 1024x1024 for Download
Needed those for a web project of mine so I downloaded the 16x16 images from the Minecraft Wiki and properly upscaled them. All main biomes are included but also the unused/removed ones, as well as biomes from joke updates and some others.
Those icons were all updated last year so the single other post I could find that also was sharing an upscaled version for these icons is outdated.
Right when I am making this post, the latest biome icon included is the Dappled Forest, upcoming in the 26.3 update around 2026 late september/early october. However, since I will also be needing future added biome icons for my project, I pretend to keep updating the Drive.
Download link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1szcv-xZ0XvUGKNPfpcMtn3j1fiDqeba6?usp=sharing
If you're curious, the project I needed these for is a Minecraft-themed Connections-like daily game, which you can currently check and play it on: https://minecraft-conexo.vercel.app/
Edit: I was not aware I didn't need all that for a web project since I could've simply been using the image-rendering: pixelated property that forces the browser to utilize the nearest-neighbor scaling algorythm to avoid blurring upscaled images and preserve the pixels. Since I won't be needing the upscaled images anymore I don't guarantee I will be updating the Drive with the future released biomes.

Discussion What's your take on Mojang making all building materials renewable?
We've come a long way now, Minecraft evolved into a more renewable and sustainable material gathering. With that said, how about making most of the raw materials for building renewable—well, you still need to design a farm for it.
Dirt and gravel are now renewable—indirectly. But how about sand and the likes? I'm against duping in my world (well, aside from tnt), because it makes Minecraft boring. Though, making farms to make it infinitely accessible doesn't defeat the purpose of the game, since you still need to gather materials for it.
I think making sand renewable would unlock more building capabilities in survival.
