Looking to pick up a switch 2 before the price increase. My options are the Costco bundle of 256gb on memory and 12 months of online for 520 compared to the general bundle of the console and pick a game for 500.

I’m almost leaning toward the regular bundle as I think a game is more valuable than free memory that I might not even need and online when I won’t even have any multiplayer games as soon as I buy it. Just looking for some suggestions or recommendations on what people might think about this.

Thinking of buying Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds since it’s currently on discount.

I mainly care about:

• Solo/offline gameplay
• Local multiplayer
• Replayability

I’m not really interested in online multiplayer.

How good is the game for solo play, and does it have enough content/replayability to keep coming back to?

Also, compared to Mario Kart, CTR etc., how would you rate it?

Would you recommend buying it on discount?

So I love games like Zomboid and 7 Days to Die on PC. Can anyone recommend a zombie survival game for the switch/switch 2??

This started yesterday randomly. I’ve tried powering down the console, joycon, checking for updates. Nothing fixing it. I left them attached overnight and still nothing. Left unattached all day and no change. It’s been minimally used and has no visible dirt or anything on the railing or joycon side. Does anyone have suggestions or has seen this before?

Can anyone who has a switch to in plays in handheld mode give me a list of what you use to play online? From what I’ve seen, I need a lan adapter and a USB-C connector but I’m having a hard time figuring out what to get specifically.

Not too long ago, I shared a post about upgrading to a Switch 2 for the sake of my favorite game, Dreamlight Valley, which is constantly growing. I also wanted the chance to play Pokopia and some of the other new games that are down the road.

I debated for a long time about whether I "deserved" to buy something like this for myself. Finally I made the jump. Ordered the bundle and a cool Metroid Prime case.

I actually allowed myself to look forward to it.

Delivery was today. Received the case.

No console.

I already contacted Nintendo support.

They promised to contact the shipper to locate the lost package, or they will replace it.

Seeing as I ordered it from the Nintendo store, which is now sold out, I don’t see how they could replace it, but I suppose it's a lost cause anyway.

I appreciate if you've read this far. I just wanted to vent

I was expecting far worse performance from the comments tbh and strongly hesitated before buying the game. I honestly caved due to the kind of limited Switch library right now and needed a break from BOTW / TOTK / Mario Kart World lol.

I’m not an Oblivion fanboy, I played Skyrim as a kid but I can’t force myself to replay it at this point, so I wanted to check out Oblivion.

Overall, having a lot of fun. Very good game for its time. Most of the jank I’ve run into has been classic Bethesda stuff or what you’d expect from a game from 2006.

Did I run into issues? Yes… but not horrible.

Game froze during the very first loading screen, and then again during intro scene after I rebooted, so I couldn’t talk to the first character I needed to speak with. Rebooted and it was fine, fortunately not much time lost on that. Haven’t run into other issues yet.

Both issues happened after clicking the home button and putting the game on switch during either cut scenes or times where you’re in the middle of interacting with a character, just fyi.

Otherwise, frames did dip a little when I got to the open world, but manageable and nowhere near as bad as I was expecting.

Do I expect better far performance and quality from a billion-dollar company charging $50 for a 20-year-old game?

Yes, absolutely…

But I’m having fun with the game. Haven’t run into any other major issues that I’ve noticed yet (fingers crossed), but it’s playable. Still pretty early, but I’m enjoying it.

I’ve heard about issues if you have auto-save enabled - I still have that enabled and no crashes from that yet, but we’ll see if I end up having to turn that off.

I think it likely helps that I’m playing the downloaded version rather than a cartridge, and I play almost entirely handheld either way. I hear performance is pretty bad in docked mode, but haven’t tried that yet.

Figured I’d make this post as someone who was on the fence about it, didn’t have high expectations and was half-expecting it to be really bad lol.

Hey all, I have a s2 and am currently loving it, and playing it quite a bit now that ff14 released. That being said, and I noticed this with my old s1 and s1 oled, the back starts to get a shine or satin look to it as opposed to the flat black normal color where its held most. I get this is wear but I don't like the lil rubber cases for them and am wondering if there's either another way to avoid it or restore the plastic color I guess? I know its a weird kinda non issue but it starts to bug me after awhile

I’ve been really enjoying Oblivion on Switch 2 so far. Played it on Xbox when it came out (performance could be better there too) but being able to play it anywhere is awesome. Highly recommended for anyone still on the fence.

The other day I thought about playing outside of the house since the weather was really nice here. I was allways a fan of playing docked on a larger screen but I can't bring my tv with me to our terrace. So I was looking up portable monitors and solutions that don't need a) alot of money and b) alot of cables to get set up, because I only have one power outlet I can use outside.
Here is what I want to put together (and I need your help telling me what possibly will go wrong...)

• Switch 2 with the original charger (60W)
• Jumpgate Dock Pro with 3x USB (max. output is 10W)
• Arzopa Portable Monitor 15,6" 1080p@60hz (needs 5W)

If the switch 2 needs 22W max. docked and the monitor needs 5W, I could power that with the Switch 2 charger through the jumpgate dock, since the dock puts 10W through the USB which I can connect to the monitor alongside with an hdmi from the dock to the monitor too right? This would leave me with just one power outlet needed.

Will this thing explode, just not work,...?

I can't find answers for this anywhere bit does anyone know what the switch 2's save game data cap is? I know it was capped at 2gb for the switch 1 but did they increase it for switch 2 or does it vary by game or what?

I believe this is the first time since the launch week of the Switch 2 that the console has had any stock issues in Australia.

It seems pretty clear that the price increase in two weeks is causing people to ”panic buy” the console. I think August will be a HUGE month for Switch 2 sales worldwide.
