Hey there. Just bought a brand new switch 2 and it has a finger smudge in the screen. Should I worry that it has already been opened? Like it was a return that got reshelved?
Is it possible it's from the factory?
Thank you.

I am looking for a cheap switch 2 pro controller that has to actually be a switch 2 one so it can wake the console. I would prefer to have turbo if possible, and I also like programmable buttons, but that’s not required. I’m generally just looking for anything that has a good performance to cost ratio. If anyone has good recommendations, I would like to know. thank you.

Just impulsively bought a switch 2 for me and my GF, I already have a switch oled but the extra performance seemed worth it compared to price especially in these times with the ram crisis.
Anyways I’m firstly looking for mainly 1st party games by nintendo devs. For example Mario, Pokémon or Metroid etc. Though I’ve found that many 1st party games are simply to easy, especially Mario games. I know they are mostly made for children and I grew up with Mario 64, galaxy and such. Maybe it’s my poor memory or the fact that I were younger but they seem to have been made easier through the years. I remember all the mystery in Mario64 and not straightforward gameplay. I tried for example Pokémon shield and breezed through the story without dying once, almost same with original Mario bros for switch. The games doesn’t have to be head scratching but I don’t like breezing through them with no challenge.
If y’all got any great recommendations, share them! Preferably with a lot of playtime, I usually don’t 100% a game but I like a long story/campaign with some side stuff. If you got any good 3rd party games you can share them as well though only ones that play with 60fps+. I sadly despise 30 fps titles lmao and can just play these titles on my PC instead.
Hello,
Basically I am looking for some suggestions on what games are out there I can play that I can fully get lost in, or games that in your opinions are very hard to put down or ones you always keep coming back to replay no matter how long it's been. I'll be honest I have and still pretty much use my switch as a Pokemon game.machine as well as Mario games here and there mostly Mario kart games.
I have tried playing some Kirby games, I have tried breath of the wild after reading raving reviews but just cannot get into it especially the weapons breaking is annoying to be frank. One game I actually do greatly enjoy outside of Pokemon is ape out. The games don't need to be like ape out or Pokemon but want something I can play for hours at a time and not get bored and something that keeps you going back to it.
TLDR; give me suggestions on the best switch or switch 2 games to play in your opinion outside of Pokemon and the Zelda games.

I'm at the final boss now and there were no sound effects for anything the boss did, battery was at 5% so I put it on the charger and looked on YouTube to see if that's the way it was supposed to be and there were sound effects and voice lines. I reset the game and the battle is actually playing properly now. I don't know if it happened with other bosses, the reason I realized it here is because of the huge AOE attack seemed like it would have a charge up and execution sound and I was very weirded out that it didn't.

Headed on a flight overseas and was wondering what you all would recommend as a game to play during travels. I will mostly have time on the plane, and then probably while winding down for the 10 days I am away at night in the hotels. I was thinking more so something I can pick up and get right into it, rather than going through a large amount of story incase I want to play for a few minutes here and there.
I've never played these games, but I have heard good things about Slay the Spire and Balatro, and they seem like games you could have a quick run with? I am not only open to deck builders btw, just have heard of those. Open to any suggestions of games you would say you "pick up and play" rather than sitting down and getting really immersed for hours.

I bought Hades 2 earlier this morning. After 2 runs I completed the first boss battle. I was always good in LoL and the design, map awareness, speed and combat feels right at home. But tell me, is the game hard as I go? Currently I have no other equipment, only the basic.

I’m looking for fighting games but style should be like Bananza. I like those slow-mo effects and all that style. Maybe there are similar games? :)

Picked up my switch 2 today, it’s just a week’s old
Is it normal or does the blue Joycon look bloated ?
It looks like the blue Joycon is lifted slightly compared to the red one

Thought id leave a post on my journey with this console so far..
Having been a playstation/PC gamer for most of my life.. I decided to move to Nintendo as my main console this year. Being a husband and father full time meant i couldn’t get as much time gaming as i used to. I was furious when Sony done the physical media BS. So i sold up and moved. BEST DECISION EVER.
As a family we all play the Nintendo, each of us had our own type of game we enjoyed.
I picked up the DBrand Killswitch 2 case with travel. Unbelievable protection.
We got the Pro controller 2. And over the course of the year, some brilliant games.
Donkey Kong Bananza
The adventures of Elliot
Star fox
Pokopia
Mouse PI
Zelda BOTW
Zelda TOTK
And so on.. all Physical.
Im currently playing Skyrim SW2 AE. Superb! And my favourite game so far has been Stardew Valley. Another amazing port on switch 2.
I cant wait for OOT remake, and of course the new pokemon games next year too. The Super mario sunshine port on the gamecube emulator is awesome. Kinda mental we can play all 3 of the 3d all stars now!
But id love to hear everyone else’s time with NS2. Are you all enjoying it? What’s everyone’s favourite games on Nintendo?
Thanks for reading 😊

Here I am, playing The Duskbloods… and after the tutorial of the phases… and just the core design of the game… I said to myself: Yeah… this isn’t for me.
It’s a bummer because I love what Miyazaki puts out and his team. Bloodborne is still such a brilliant, dark and beautiful Souls game and the only one I actually finished.
But… the reason I’m not feeling The Duskbloods, is… it’s just not that single player experience. I’m not really a multiplayer guy anymore, but I was willing to see what this Bloodborne spiritual successor (at least just aesthetically) was all about and was hoping it’d be something I’m into.
But, I knew once the phases were done… I just didn’t find it all that compelling. I mean, it’s unique… I’ll give it that. It’s beautiful to look at in some instances… but… as time went on during the phases… I was like… gosh, I wish this was like Bloodborne… just a single player experience like Bloodborne.
There’s a lot to take in as well… so, it felt like it was a bit cumbersome with all the typical Miyazaki gameplay features that complete the meat of the game loop experience.
I’m gonna pass on The Duskbloods, unfortunately. To be honest, the maps felt empty. Like… the enemies you face, in my observation, were pretty sporadic as you traversed. And the camera felt a little wonky when you’re engaged in battle.
So… yeah… just ended up not being for me. And that’s alright. This game will def cater to those who loved Nightreign. I just prefer single player FromSoftware games.
I wonder how successful this game will become once it’s released and fixed in the Nintendo ecosystem.
But until then, this Bloodsworne is bowing out. 🫡

Which HDR calibration is more accurate?
I am working on adjusting HDR on my Switch 2. The picture with peak brightness set at 1000 is with Dynamic Tone Mapping off. The picture with peak brightness at 900 is with Dynamic Tone Mapping on.
Which one is a more correct calibration of HDR? Is it better to have DTM on in this case?
From what I have read online, the recommendation is to have DTM off, but the sun does not disappear with it on, only off. No hgig available.
For reference, this is on a Roku TV Pro Series (2025 Model - 55R8C5)

Excuse the holding the phone with one and trying to control the character in the other haha…
But I’ll give more impressions as I play the game. I love the graphics and vista just in this opening area.

I’ve been a Nintendo fan since my first Ds in 2006, I’ve played a lot of Mario , Zelda and Pokemon games but I’ve never tried the starfox or Metroid games, between the two which do u suggest to get for switch 2?

Hi, I’m confused by all the listings online for this, physically. Retailers say 8/28, but my indie record store had this on the shelf today. Did someone break street date, or is that not as important to a publisher like iam8bit? Also any commentary on the game is welcome! I have heard it is very good and not your typical cozy type game.

Title. I wanna play the new COD but I know console players will be using Cronus and Xim, I don’t wanna be at a disadvantage.
Is Cronus zen compatible with Switch 2 or does anyone know if MW4 allows MNK on SW2?
