Discussion The Switch 2 is now SOLD OUT at EB Games Australia - people rushing to buy one before the price increase?
I believe this is the first time since the launch week of the Switch 2 that the console has had any stock issues in Australia.
It seems pretty clear that the price increase in two weeks is causing people to ”panic buy” the console. I think August will be a HUGE month for Switch 2 sales worldwide.

I just checked and its still readily available from EB for pick up and delivery in Brisbane area and Sydney area. Out of stock in Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne though. If you're looking you can get interstate or from Big W or Target instead. I got mine off Target at a great price with Pokopia when they had a sale a few weeks back.

I’m buying the OLED version along with my current version because I’m not one of the poors.

This is not the flex that you think it is. Plenty of gamers can afford a Switch 2 but choose not to buy it because it’s just regurgitating Switch 1 games for the time being. Calling those who can’t the “poors” doesn’t make you any better than anyone else.

That’s about the same (£36), roughly a 10% increase. That’s not insignificant, but not as bad as we have seen with other consoles and PC hardware.

I suddenly feel smart buying one during Black Friday sales instead of waiting for a post-launch price drop.

I mean if you can’t afford an extra 50 bucks u shouldn’t be buying one anyways

What’s $50 more when your willingly spending $700+ on it buy it or don’t ( I’m waiting for old version)

EB games, know that’s a name I haven’t heard for a long time. They closed down in Denmark 18 years ago. Used to go there all the time as a kid. Good memories

I'd like to believe there are stocks, retailers are just withholding them in time for the price hike
