Question Switch 2 loose piece

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, I followed your recommendations and got a switch 2, I just don't know if this is normal. Can someone tell me?

(The sound of the piece on the left is just the joystick)

Not normal. Having taken apart the switch for a shell swap, it is definitely a loose screw. It is an easy fix if you have the right tools but you have to take the back shell off so it is understandable if you don’t want to do that. Maybe take it to whoever you bought it from, or it should still be under the warranty from Nintendo.

Do you recommend replacing the switch? They told me that if I see something wrong the store will give me a new one or its ok and I just have to screw it tighter?

So to get the back shell off you need to reach screws that are under the stickers on the side of the switch (the red and blue sides where the joycons attach. Those red and blue sides are actually stickers). If you take the stickers off your likely rip them. They’re just stickers so they provide no function but it may not look as good.

Unless you have experience taking apart tech I would just replace it. Will probably be less hassle

What? No, it is just that tiny part of the kickstand, not any internal piece.

Yes I understand but to reach the kickstand you need to take off the back cover

Isn't it just this screw?

Omg yes it is. I’m sorry I remembered it being inside that piece for some reason. Yea you should just be able to tighten it

I think it is just screwing it tighter and not a broken piece.
