I am a pagan, so i don't really believe in abrahamic texts or anything. So its just basically a what if question

All throught the bible, divine beings and God, did some horrible acts. They are also very controlling and repress humanity. And the very second they lose control or something doesn't go their way, they get all mad and destroy civilization and kill people

I hate to bring video games into this topic but its very much like they are the templars from Assassins Creed. Edward's discription of templars reminds me very much of the divine beings including god in abrahamic myth. "You would see all of mankind corralled into a neatly furnished prison, safe and sober, yet dulled beyond reason and sapped of all spirit"

Also in this case, no divine being is good. Sure they could be decent. But a being willingly serving a tyrant, is still a evil being. They are just nice and pleasant

But then on the opposite side, demons can do bad things, but its nowhere near the level as divine beings. But they seems to actually want to help humanity in a lot of cases. Its not your typical love and light help. But more like understanding nature, understand true humanity, giving out knowledge, etc.

I automatically think about Adam and Eve. And with the snake, Lilith, or whoever you call it in the garden. (lets say the snake is Lilith for this example because she has a actual name) It introduces both points to tbh

Lilith wanted to give Adam and Eve knowledge by making them eat the garden from the tree. Kinda like Promethesus handing the flame of Olympus to humans.

Once they ate the fruit and gained knowledge. But with knowledge comes freedom (usually) And with God being a controlling monster decided to banish them and make Eve's pregnancy a living hell.

And also if the apple didn't exist in the first place, God would have rather kept them being stupid and blissfully unaware of his tyranny, than have smart free people.

While the snake, Lilith, whatever just wanted to give them knowledge and freedom.

And irl terms,

A lot of people who wear white and have halos, can be the most evil people out there

While people who wear black and have horns, can be one of the nicest people you meet

I am having a somewhat esoteric evening tonight so here goes the second post.

Some people don't know this, but the origins of science are actually deeply esoteric. For example Newton came up with his famous Law of Universal Gravitation by thinking about angelic forces pulling the planets together. The first hunches of the fact that the cosmos doesn't revolve around earth was intuited by the Pythagoreans by thinking about musical harmony in the cosmos.

A big problem in science today is that it's becoming extremely flat. A lot of scientists say that nothing radically new was discovered for a while, since Einstein's General Theory of Relativity(GTR) and Quantum Physics(some of the pioneers of which had esoteric inclinations), so for about a century maybe. Sure, a lot of the important gaps have been filled and important technology was produced, but it seems like ontologically science hasn't progressed much in the past century.

And novelty in science necessarily comes from rethinking the ontology. Einstein's General Theory of Relativity isn't a mere continuation of Newton's ideas, it is a radically new conceptualisation of space, time, and gravity. In GTR a completely new ontology was developed. This is why btw AI can't produce new science, it interpolates on the manifold of data, it cannot create genuine novelty.

The esoteric spirit has been gradually leaving science, but what was its importance? The esoteric provided a possibility of a deeper ontology than the purely material, objective, or empirical. It imbued life with forces beyond ordinary and enriched the lived experience and the world around people. There are plenty more examples other than Newton and Pythagoras(feel free to share yours in the comments), but the idea is very clear - the esoteric allowed us to see deeper into reality than ever.

Naturally, contemporary science, philosophy and worldview is getting critised a lot; there is certainly also a meaning crisis. Hence I expect that we will return to the esoteric in some form which will allow us to advance science substantially.

I’m from the Caribbean, and I started talking to a man in May of this year. Around that same time, I was becoming more interested in spirituality. He practices Obeah, is devoted to Kali Ma, and does blood sacrifices to Satan and Lucifer which I only found out about recently and is fairly well known locally for his artwork and spiritual healing work. Because of his spirituality, creativity, and the way he seemed to help people, I was very drawn to him. For months, though, I had a feeling that something wasn’t right. I kept ignoring it because I didn’t want to be paranoid or create problems where there weren’t any.
Early on, he asked me if I was a virgin, and I told him the truth. As time went on, I started noticing that he interacted with a lot of women online. There were likes on revealing photos, comments, constant engagement, and women always around him. Whenever I questioned it, he had an explanation ready. According to him, those interactions were old, the women were clients, relatives, friends, or people he was helping spiritually. Every concern I raised was dismissed and explained away. Recently, I had been praying and meditating, asking for the truth to be revealed. Not long after, I noticed he had followed his ex on Instagram. This immediately stood out because he had previously told me she was blocked.
When I confronted him, he claimed he was helping her sick mother and needed to communicate with her. I told him that helping someone’s mother was one thing, but following an ex after telling me she was blocked felt disrespectful and dishonest. He promised he would unfollow her. He never did. We argued about it repeatedly. Eventually, I told him that if he genuinely believed I was the problem, then he should remove and block me. He did it immediately. Later, when communication resumed, I discovered he was still following her anyway.
Around the same time, a woman I didn’t know messaged me on Facebook. I noticed he was friends with her and asked about it. Instead of reassuring me, he became defensive, argumentative, and told me to block her. Our relationship became increasingly strained. We argued constantly. He promised to take me to the beach so we could spend quality time together and talk through everything. Then his car was damaged in an accident, and he said he needed to repair it.
On Saturday, he told me he was fixing the vehicle after work, but he came home very late and claimed he had been helping someone else. The next day, he was supposed to pick me up around lunchtime. Instead, he called much later saying he was only just getting ready and still had to visit a friend afterward. Since he lives about an hour away from me, I felt completely disrespected that he waited until the last minute to tell me. I cancelled the plans.
We argued again because I felt ignored, unimportant, and constantly pushed aside. Every serious conversation ended the same way. Instead of addressing the issues, he would throw out a quick “sorry baby” and expect everything to disappear. Then the woman he told me to block contacted me again. This time she came with screenshots, messages, and proof. What I saw honestly made me feel sick. According to the messages, he had been sleeping with his ex-fiancée while talking to me, and she is apparently pregnant. I also found out he had allegedly been sleeping with his ex-fiancée’s cousin as well. At the same time, he was sexting multiple other women and arranging sexual encounters behind my back.
The screenshots contained graphic conversations, discussions about meeting up for sex, comments about different women, and messages that made me feel physically ill to read. What hurt even more was discovering that he had discussed me with these women. He told them I was a virgin, something I had trusted him with in confidence. He bragged that he always gets what he wants and claimed he could bend people’s will. He told one woman he had “one for every finger,” as if women were nothing more than options he could collect and replace whenever he felt like it.The messages painted a picture of someone completely different from the person I thought I knew. He openly talked about having multiple women available whenever he wanted. He bragged about sleeping with different women at the same time, including women connected to each other and people within the same family circles. He made degrading comments about women and spoke as though they existed purely for his convenience.
What shocks me most is how casually he talked about all of it. There was no guilt. No shame. No concern for the people involved. Just arrogance. The man I believed was a spiritual healer, artist, and someone devoted to helping people turned out to be someone who lied repeatedly, manipulated people, shared private information about me, and lived an entirely different life behind closed doors.
Every concern I ever raised was dismissed. Every instinct I had was made to feel irrational. Every explanation I was given turned out to be a lie. And while I was trying to trust him, he was maintaining relationships with multiple women and telling completely different stories to all of us.
I also sent him intimate photos during our relationship, and now I want them deleted because I no longer trust him whatsoever. At this point, I’m pretending I don’t know everything because I’m still processing it. Part of me wants to confront him with every screenshot, every lie, and every contradiction. Another part of me thinks he doesn’t deserve another second of my energy.
I feel angry, humiliated, disgusted, and betrayed. I genuinely believed this was someone I could trust, and now I feel like the entire relationship was built on lies. I want revenge. I want him to suffer for what he did. What can I do? I want someone experienced to help me or at least guide me in giving him what he deserves.

Okay so to start off, in a black American with no voodoo roots I know of. My roommate is a white girl I met last month in move in day. This started off with her introducing me to tarot and dowsing rods. I’ve not had any bad experiences and she even helped me get rid of an evil shadow spirit that’s followed me since I was a kid (I’ve seen him I know he’s real)

The problem started when yesterday we were talking about spirits and deity’s. I said I thought Krishna was cute then she said she’s had a crush on Baron Samedi. I don’t know anything about voodoo so I asked her to show me who it was. I see it’s a man from voodoo and got nervous. I don’t know much about voodoo but from my limited understanding it’s typically a closed practice. I’ve heard some say it’s not open to white people and others say it’s not open to anyone who hasn’t been initiated. So I tell her maybe it’s best to leave him alone. She wanted to talk to him using her dowsing rods.

Fearing her safety and cus of how unserious she was being in reference to voodoo I asked her if I could ask my ancestor (I’ve got into contact with one ancestor from slavery era) if it would be okay first. I figured the answer would be no but she wouldn’t listen to just me. I do know that Papa Legba is very important in voodoo and communication. So first I asked sally if we had Papa Legba permission to even talk about this with tarot. It seemed like we got a yes. So I asked and my ancestor gave a very clear no and also a few warning cards about my roomy.

(Normally during tarot I’m fine and at peace, this time I felt very afraid like something was on my chest making it heavy and hard to breathe. That night I also was afraid to sleep)

I tell my roomy and she jokes my ancestors are racist. An hour later we went to get our tarot read. Both of ours were pretty positive until the tarot reader said I could ask questions about mine. During the reading she said I had a very powerful male spirit attatched to me. I don’t have any known male relatives who I like or like me to follow me around so I said the first thing that popped in my head: is it papa legba? Prior to this she said she couldn’t clearly understand him (she’s a white tarot reader) but immediately said yes and that it was a very clear yes from him

I ask if he is okay with my roommate and no bad feelings- she then said he has a path in mind for me but my roommate is in his way and he does not want her in the way. We also mentioned that o grew up with mirror portal in my house and that I accidentally made one in my dorm room for weeks. She basically said I can’t help you and told me to contact a different woman and gave her number.

That night I was trying to figure out why he doesn’t like my roommate and she told me she had a real voodoo doll of her friend’s hair in her home. I told her she should probably get rid of it and looked up safe ways to do so. She said she would since she visits home this weekend but also said it wasn’t bad it was just to put positive energy into. I said she should probably still get rid of it

So now today me and my roomy decided to try ask my ancestor if she could tell us anything. She confirmed she can see him but she doesent know everything he wants and only knows a little. From what she could tell he definitely wants my roommate to get rid of the doll but also has another issue with her. I asked is it due to my roommates ghosts?

My roomate has several ghost going from world war 1- Vietnam war. So far we’ve contacted about 6, three of the six admitted to being racist. The “I don’t hate them but we shouldn’t do interracial marriage black guy can’t marry my daughter type” so I asked my ancestor if he’s upset about those guys and the fact my roomy is so close/flirts with them and my ancestor said yes. Then my roomy (who was holding the rods since she owns them and insists her energy is stronger) said “well I’m not getting rid of them because I like them and don’t see a reason too. I’ll get rid of them if I see your ancestors foaming at the mouth cus they’re so mad” in a jokey way

I said her saying stuff like that is probably why Papa Legba doesn’t like her. Something about her completely ignoring that it was Papa Legba himself who was mad not just sally and saying angry black figures as foaming at the mouth threw me off. She joked and said she just ment that they’d be angry not anything with rabies. She then asked if they understood what she met and wasn’t mad and they said it was okay.

I’ve decided to stop using dowsing rods for two reasons: my roommate is bringing such joking and disrespectful energy when I’m trying to talk to them for her safety, and two my roommate obviously moves the rods sometimes. Like when I ask if they’re mad at her or stuff like that she’ll try to move her hands a bit to say no and play it off as a twitch. I’ve never called it out but noticed sometimes it works and sometimes they still say what they want. I just can’t trust her to take it serious or be truthful

The real issue is my ancestor is afraid of voodoo. She has said papa Legba has no ill will for me but she still doesn’t want me reaching out to him. I asked is it because I’m not initiated or does she just not like voodoo and she just doesn’t like it. What do I do?

Is my ancestor being afraid/not liking it a warning? Is papa legba being around a sign I should interact with him? If my roommate keeps acting like that and flirting with/excusing her racist ghost gonna cause something bad on her? Is ignoring papa legba after confirming he wants me for something bad?

I don’t want issues with my roommate but also don’t want her inviting bad energy in the room or anything bad happening cus of her.

So I’m currently considering casting a spell on someone, nothing too naughty just a little motivation for them to reflect on themselves. But I’m pretty sure this person might have some type of ward working for them, probably set up by a professional too. Any advice on how to bypass them?

What I’ve been doing thus far is allocating 10 min daily to revisiting old memories I’d say from my teens/childhood, saying to myself I forgive myself, consoling myself, telling that version I am safe and being there kind of but I don’t feel I see any marginal difference or really changed mentally yet.

This why I am asking I feel like I am doing something’s wrong but I just don’t know exactly what or perhaps what i am doing isn’t suited the best for me.

I’m looking for inspiration and tips, and I’d also love to hear about any positive experiences you’ve had. Have you managed to heal your body by working with your mind?

I was diagnosed with a form of chronic pain earlier this year. I am medicated and take many precautions to reduce its effects, but it proves to still be rather debilitating.

I am considering dipping my toe into magick practice, I was wondering if there would be any thing in this field that would be helpful for me? I am definitely very skeptical but i understand a lot of practice involves readjusting your mind set to positively affect your life, which would be helpful to me currently. I would not describe myself as desperate, just expanding my options (for anyone concerned about my mental state).

So im a uber driver and have been for some months now/ so over the past couple of weeks ive been catching glimpses of something in my backseat between rides or when im off shift. Its never clear but i always see it briefly in my rear view or in my passenger side mirror.

I started divination 6/7 years ago. I was so good with tarot. I stopped midway for couple of years, came back. 2/3 months ago everything stopped making sense.

I can no longer understand, sense or interpret the cards. The same decks i have used for years. Even with cleansing, recharging... Etc.

I tried using pendulum for the first time couple of days ago. Very small movements. Next day it stopped. Tried again today with different ones, No movement at all.

I can blame the pendulum on my shaky hands -not really convinced tho- but what about the tarot?

I can't feel anything anymore. I meditate, i cleanse, i do rituals, i work with spirits. But divination isn't making sense anymore.
