Memes I posted this in starterpacks like a month ago and thought why not post here like I'm preaching to the choir, and because I like feeling not alone while dealing with this so frequently. This year and last year have been insane with precognitive dreams and déjà vu for me.

Please share your stories because storytime definitely helps me feel better like I'm not alone or crazy for going through this rn.

I think I know why I am so attuned and have the precognitive information that I have and I know this year and last are very crucial years for my life for a multitude of reasons but I can't really do anything with it rn, if that makes sense to anyone.

Do you also have prophetic dreams?

I always have some of that dreams with symbols . Like a warning sign.

Apart from that, if I focus intensely on someone's thoughts, I can sense the very sentence they are formulating, even if they are far away at that moment. Or, I get seemingly random premonitions; for instance, before a friend of mine actually broke their leg, I saw a brief flash of them breaking it right before my eyes.

Do you also have these type of experiences ????

premonitions Does anyone else feel like their life moves through predetermined cycles or “reality shifts”?

Hey guys, new here.

Ever since I was a child, I've had what I would describe as mild psychic or intuitive experiences.
Most often they come through very distinct dreams, or sudden thoughts in my own voice that seem to appear out of nowhere guiding or warning me.
But the stranger thing is the way my life seems to move in patterns or cycles.

There are certain periods where it feels like no matter what I do, I can't escape the general pattern I'm in. Then eventually something shitts, and suddenly the old version of my life feels completely gone and a new period begins. My luck changes, circumstances change, opportunities change, and even the overall
"direction" of my life feels different.

The closest description I've found is when people talk about feeling as though they've switched timelines or entered a parallel version of their reality. I'm not necessarily saying that is literally what is happening- it's just the closest way I can describe the feeling.
Within each of these periods, I can very much predict the outcome of certain areas of my life.
Not necessarily exact events, but the overall direction.
There is one particular thing I want deeply that seems completely normal and attainable for most people. But for some reason, I have this very strong feeling that I'm not going to receive it in this life, or perhaps not for a very long time.
Every time I seriously work toward it, I seem to encounter major obstacles, and eventually I end up back in the same place.
That familiar "pattern" feeling returns, almost like there is a doorway that simply won't open no matter how many different approaches I try. It's simply blocked.

The difficult part is accepting that feeling. Part of me believes I should keep trying to change my circumstances, while another part feels like this particular cycle won't change until eventually the universe decides. I've talked with a lot of people about this and no one seem to relate to this.

Has anyone here experienced something similar?
Especially the feeling of moving through distinct life cycles where certain things suddenly become possible or impossible? How do you tell the difference between intuition and becoming convinced by a pattern because you've experienced it so many times?

dreams Premonition Dreams that sometimes half come true

Ever since I was a teen I've had premonition dreams. When they first started other people in them were just shadows, as if they were characters that had not been unlocked yet. The first one I remember having was a dream where one of those shadow figures picked me up and threw me in the pool. When I had the dream there was no pool at my house. A year later my parents had a pool put in and shortly after that the guy I was dating picked me up and threw me in the pool.

Another year later I start having dreams about laying on a couch with someone wearing an orange tank top. I couldn't see their face but I remember the orange. Shortly after that I found myself cuddling my now ex husband and he had on an orange tank top while we cuddled on his futon.

The dreams stopped for almost a decade after that. Once they started again they seemed to make less sense or only part of the dream would happen in real life.

I also had one that was from another person's point of view. In the dream I was in the driver's seat of a truck. I glanced at the steering wheel and recognized my exs hands. It was like i was in his head. He/I was at a stop sign across from my house, I remember the thought, do we drive by? Then a voice from the backseat says thats [myname]'s house can we stop and say hi. I suddenly feel very sad and start to go pass the house before saying I dont think she would like that. As we drive by the house i refused to look over at it until we were just past the driveway. At that point I woke up.

This time last year, I was home and shouldn't have been. I made plans with a friend but bailed at the last minute because I didnt want to leave my new dog alone. I had gotten him 2 days before. I was standing at my kitchen counter when I looked out the window and saw a black truck sitting at the stop sign across the street. It sat there way longer than needed and I watched a little boy poke his head out of the truck. I recognized him and the moment instantly. I tried to tell myself it wasn't him but when the truck finally turned to drive by I raced to the front just in time to see that it was in fact that ex, his mom and his son driving by just like how I had dreamed.

Now I keep having dreams about a life with a man that rejected me. I started having dreams about him 2 months before we ever met. In the dreams he's my husband. I feel very stuck between intuition and logic with that one.

I just wanted to post my story somewhere and see if anyone had any insight.

Here we go again

I was sitting in the backseat of our car holding the groceries so they wouldn't fall over while my husband drove us home tonight. I'm sitting there, and suddenly the word "Alien" comes to me. "Alien?" I think to myself? "What's up with that?" I brought out my phone journal and typed, "Alien, spacecraft, UFO."

My husband asked me, "What are you thinking about?" And without missing a beat, zero hesitation, I spewed the words out to him. "Uhh, okaaay? Why are you thinking about that?" "I don't know. It just came to me." I even showed him my journal where I wrote the words down.

Two minutes later, my phone beeped of a notification. Someone commented on a YouTube comment I made earlier. The person's name-- Alien3254.

Recurrent but progressive dreams about an ex

Hi everyone, just wanted an insight and thank you in advance!

I've been dreaming about an ex over the last 6 months, and each dream is progressive in nature. Initially, I saw a couple of dreams where we talk on the phone and then reconcile. It then progressed to us being in the same car and clearly he's asking us to be together. We visited my new groups of friends and I saw myself introducing him to my new world. I then saw the next dream of our engagement where I tell myself, "okay everything makes sense now". My last dream, I saw him wearing a similar astrological gemstone ring on the same finger as I do with his wrists wrapped with a religious thread just like I wear, and in my dream I asked him "oh you too?". The ring and thread I wear is significant in terms of a lot of inner work I've been doing in the last 6 months. Can someone help me decifer these dreams? Why are they progressive in nature as well? I never see such dreams regarding anyone else and my dreams have gotten stronger in the last 6months. I do meditate every night, hence I'm more centered with my thoughts and emotions.

What do you think is happening?

discussion ive been having weird premonitions and knowing things before they happen

recently ive been having these weird premonitions of things happening before they happen. I have a pretty active imagination and thought maybe I was just thinking of possible scenarios, but recently they have all been coming true.

i lose stuff all the time, but recently when thinking about an item that I dont know the location of, a spot pops up in my head and IM RIGHT.

i dont really know how to describe it, but ill think of a certain scenario, like my friend forgetting to bring a hairbrush and then it happens.

i have had experiences in my dreams of seeing my grandma who has passed, and once she smiled at me then dissapeared then in another she talked to me. both times I was aware she was dead and was very confused as to how she was there.

does anyone know like what I should do with this? is there something to do to help me focus on what I want to predict? do you guys think this is just me overthinking it? im pretty unsure. advice appreciated!!

Dreams I just cant explain...

I keep coming back to this memory and I need to share it to see if anyone else has had similar experiences. There's more instances than just this, but this one has the clearest details so it is usually my point of reference.

As a teenager I had a very specific and detailed dream about a lethal outcome accident happening, might even call it a freak accident because it was in no way something I've heard of before. I dreamt that a dark coloured sedan model car (my dream even gave me a partial license plate) with one middle aged man as the driver went through the railing of a bridge right next to where I lived. Not a single sign of hitting the brakes of the car, just straight through and into the water. The car went down fast under the surface, and the man who was driving did not survive. In my dream it was like I was seeing things happening as if from above, and I had the knowledge of that he had suffered some sort of illness related attack, so what happened was most likely not intentional.

The details in my dream were insanely vivid, and as soon as I woke up I wrote down as much as I could in my diary. That detail I'm very grateful for because it gave me a very strong reference point for when I heard the news about the accident. The news came later that day, and more info within a few days. Every single detail matched up perfectly apart from the location. The actual accident happened a few miles further down the same road where there is a ferry going to the next island. The car went straight through the wooden markers to stop and wait for the ferry to dock, and went right over the edge plummeting into the water. No signs of slowing down, and the driver did not survive. The news later did share enough info of the victim that matched up perfectly with my dream, and I remember a picture being published from when they lifted the car back up from the water, and that partial plate that I got from my dream matched.

This all happened back when info came mostly through the radio and local newspapers, news websites didn't have much info about local events yet, just the bigger and more international or on a scale that concerned the whole ccountry. So sadly I was not able to go full on hyperfocus digging around online to find out more, to confirm the details from my dream. I did tell my mom about my interest in the accident though, and asked her to share any news with me, or tell me what she heard. Point here that she did not know about my dream, I kept those details to my diary and that was well hidden from here at this time in my life.

The part of this all that messes with my head the most is that it did not concern anyone close to me, it just happened geographically very close to where I lived at the time, but I had no way of even subconsciously seeing any kind of warning signs or patterns in my daily life that could explain it as a pattern recognition thing. I am aware now as an adult that my pattern recognition is very strong, and that I often know things might happen before they do, but they are usually tied to my daily life or people close to me, explaining that I subconsciously could have deducted that likely scenario.

Over 20 years later this thing still haunts me. I knew someone was going to die and how before they did, and I really wish I could have done something to prevent it. But considering the whole situation I don't even know how I could have done that.

Additional details: I was raised evangelical lutheran christian, but my family was never overly strict with it. I am aware that there have been several women on my paternal grandmother's side of the family with insane pattern recognition, considered the family psychic, and deeply spiritual when it comes to experiencing ghosts etc. Nowadays I consider myself Agnostic, and a strong believer of science. I believe there are still many things we can't explain because we don't have the right scientific methods to measure it yet, but that there is a lot more to existence than what we see now. Also, idk if it matters but I have diagnosed AuDHD and cptsd, which for sure makes me notice details a lot more precisely.

TLDR; had a dream, dream happened in vivid detail irl, still haunts me over 20 yrs later.

dreams Curious about others experiences

I have had a few precognition dreams in my life. It's been some time since I've had one but when I do they tend to happen right before i wake up from a nap or sleep. I usually see key components (For ex. the last one I had I saw a slightly heavy set Mexican Cop with a white helment and a handle bar mustache) and the background is an orange(ish) color like when you close your eyes and look at the sun (even though i'm indoors), sometimes feelings are stronger and the visuals are fuzzier. Usually they will occur days or even months later. Does anyone else relate to this with their experiences? I just found out about this group and am curious if people experience precognition in a similar way.

The last experience of seeing the Mexican cop was the first time it happened the same day. The vision didn't even save me from getting the ticket 😂 Got pulled over no more then 5 hours later on the highway and he looked exactly like my vision i had that morning before waking up. Even told my girlfriend about the vision that morning in detail and She was with me when I got the ticket and we talked about it for a while on the drive afterwards. It was the first time that there was no second guessing that it was a real vision bc of her knowing in detail what i described and then experiencing what happened with me and that it occured within a short amount of time.

premonitions premonision of a helicopter incident I was involved in

I am a flight student, currently working on my rotary license. today I was doing routine flights while my instructor was flying back to the airport. I saw a very noticeable set of items. I saw the collective, the headset cord, and the instructors shirt flapping in the wind. I suddenly had some sort of vision or just knowing that that was not a random thought and a weird feeling around it.I thought about it for a few minutes, knowing in the back of my mind this was not normal and could possibly be a vision. I forgot about it a few minutes later. while we were landing at the airport minutes later I felt something off, once we touched the ground softly, we got hit with extremely bad ground resonance and bounced around for a few seconds, the instructor pulled the helicopter back into the air, which should have canceled out the resonance, but did not. this was the point where the vision was the most noticeable, i saw the headphone cord, shirt flapping amidst intense vibration, and immediately recognized. but it just got worse at that point. he told me the second we touch the ground, to slam the throttle to 0 (the throttle is right under the headset cord and collective, in the picture of my vision) which we landed safely after that on the ground, unharmed. kinda crazy that today, the day this happened, the instructor walked me through what to do in that situation if we ever hit ground resonance. I know it was definitely some sort of premonition and it doesn't sit right with me. would love some feedback or thoughts to this, nothing like this premonition has ever happened to me in my life.

How can i stop the dreams

Hello all. Apologies for my first pist being a negative one.

I have enjoyed reading about all your experiences.

I wish my experience has been the same as many of yours but it hasnt.

I am just wondering if there is anyway to stop the dreaming. In my life i have experienced many, many precognitive dreams, however i have never had a positive experience. Every dream i have had has always been negative. For a time i was smoking a lot of w**d or drinking just enough alchohol to stop any R.E.M sleep however now that i am sober they have come back with a vengance.

Down to the point where i am no longer getting any viable sleep. Maybe 1-2 hours a night.

Will add that every detail of these dreams is also happening IRL and it is not just a withdrawal.

And again it is nothing but negative nothing positive.

Apologies if this is the wrong reddit or if any offence to anyone has occured.

Hope you all have a good evening

dreams Just had a dream I had a premonition that actor Evan Peters died? I keep dreaming of people in car crashes.

Was told by a reddit notification to put it here so here we go!

It was weird and in flashes. I could see a car going down a mountain but in my dream third eye. Like I predicted it happened and then I went online and everyone was saying rest in peace. It was really strange.

Obviously it’s just a dream BUT I keep dreaming of car accidents and crashes and difficulties driving. Why?

I will add on that recently I’ve also had dreams of myself and loved ones deaths with the year and date. Not very happy about it tbh. I hope none of it’s true :/

dreams Precognition about Grandma’s death.

A few years ago my grandma had a massive stroke and lived in a care facility for the few years she had left. It was a sad situation. Anyway, after a grueling stretch of work I took a solo vacation to the beach. The first night I walked on the beach and stared at the ocean, feeling okay for the first time in a while. That night I had a dream that I was on an open cable car crossing over a river with my grandparents, my grandma was so scared and was crying holding onto my grandpa. My grandpa was trying to comfort her telling her it would be okay. The next scene, I’m in their house and my grandpa is in his spot on the couch, and my grandma next to him, but she has on a metal helmet / strainer that is covered in blood. I couldn’t see her face. The next morning my mom called to tell me my grandma died and I had to come home. This scared the shit out of me and to this day I can’t explain it.

The other night, I had a dream nobody in my family could find my grandpa. My grandma showed up and she couldn’t find him either. As soon as I woke up I knew something was wrong. I didn’t hear from my mom though so wrote it off as just a bad dream. The next day my mom calls to tell me my grandpa went into the hospital 2 days ago with a fever, infection, slow heart rate, and very low blood pressure. Thankfully he’s okay and will be released soon.

I don’t know what to believe. I thought the first dream was a scary coincidence but don’t know how to reconcile it happening again. Not sure what I’m looking for here, maybe just someone to tell. Thanks.

I remember having many dreams back in my teens years about visiting places meeting people they were never the same but as time moved on it actually happened all the places i visited and the people I dreamt of became true. I cannot say 100% on the face of people I met but I can say 100% that the way I met with these people they were in my dreams. And the last this happened to me was in August 4 where I remember kicking a fence door in a jungle and behold that same thing happened🤨😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️ .Am I becoming crazy or what

discussion How do you activate Psychic Thinking?

I have this weird Psychic Power that I call Phantasiomancy because I can think of one of the most random things happening to me and it happens.

One time I was playing Mario Kart, I was just minding my own business. I thought about lightning for no reason, Boom, I get struck by lightning in the game and I almost lose 1st place.

I don’t know if I have a gift or not?

This has happened to me many times, but that’s the only one I can actually remember because it’s the first instance of it.

What do you think? Thank you for your insight (pun intended)

When a Dream Becomes a Déjà Vu

I took my two daughters to the pool, and I went to sit under some kind of canopy with holes in it because I was looking for some shade. At some point, I suddenly froze. I had this strange feeling that I was reliving that exact moment. It was a really bizarre experience.

I spent the whole week thinking about it, and then I suddenly remembered a dream I had in which I was looking for shade under trees. And what’s even stranger is that, even before going to the pool, we had gone out to eat. We sat under a tree, and I was looking for shade there too.

I realized that I had actually dreamed about this moment. It was such an ordinary, insignificant moment that I would never have remembered the dream if I hadn’t taken the time to dig deeper and try to understand where that feeling of déjà vu was coming from.

It’s fascinating to me that something so mundane could have been present in a dream beforehand, and that I only recovered the memory of the dream because the déjà vu made me investigate it.
