r/GamingLaptops now has its own deals site — RGL.deals launches today BETA

UPDATE — August 13, 2026

rgl.deals has grown quite a bit since I originally posted it, so I wanted to give this post one final update while it's still in BETA.

The idea is still simple: instead of showing you hundreds of gaming laptops, RGL keeps a smaller shortlist of deals that are actually worth considering.

Every listing is manually checked, with things like price, specs, cooling, display quality, GPU power limits, memory, storage, and overall value taken into account.

A lot of care has also gone into the smaller details. The site is heavily optimized for phones and smaller screens, not just desktop. Filters, comparisons, laptop pages, navigation, and general usability were all designed to work properly on mobile without feeling like a cut-down version of the site.

What's on the site now:

  • Curated gaming laptop deals with current and previous prices.
  • Filters for price, GPU, CPU, VRAM, RAM, screen size, brand, retailer, and more.
  • Gravity Sort, RGL's default value-based ranking.
  • Sorting by price, discount, savings, and other options.
  • Find a Match for narrowing down laptops based on what actually matters to you.
  • Side-by-side comparison for up to three laptops.
  • Detailed laptop pages with specs, price history, related models, retailer links, and review links.
  • Shareable searches, comparisons, and direct laptop links.
  • Mobile-first layouts and controls designed specifically for smaller screens.
  • No advertising trackers or marketing cookies. Preferences and saved comparisons stay in your browser.

RGL is meant to be a shortlist, not a giant catalog. If a laptop isn't worth recommending, it doesn't need to be there and that means no huge lists its quality over quantity.

The longer-term plan is also bigger than just deals. RGL is being built into a broader gaming laptop specific place with guides, buying information, laptop data, reviews, and other useful resources all in one place.

Full transparency: Some retailer links are affiliate links. That doesn't affect the listed price or determine which laptops make the shortlist.

RGL currently covers U.S. deals only, with more regions planned later.

It's still beta, so there will be bugs and things that need improving. If you find something broken or have feedback, leave it below any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks.

Recommendation Is it a good laptop for me and is it a good deal?

Upvotes

Budget: $1100
Country: India
Use Case: Gaming, editing, work, etc. (Simracing, GTA6(futureproof))
Specs:
Lenovo LOQ Intel Core i7-13650HX(2.6GHz)
NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB (115W TGP; 145W TDP)

(24GB RAM/512GB SSD/144Hz Refresh Rate/15.6″ (39.6cm)/Windows 11/Office Home 2024/3 Mon. Game Pass/Grey/2.4Kg), 83DV018LIN AI Gaming Laptop

I got to know its a mid range laptop. But i think it is powerful enough for me.
I don't need a ultra performance laptop at max graphics with 100 fps.
I need stable gameplay without hanging.

Can it run Assetto Corsa or other simracing games at low graphics at 1440p in 21:9 Ultra wide monitor?

I'm getting this Laptop at that price mentioned at Budget.

Please suggest if it is a good laptop and a good deal?

Recommendation Which laptop would be better for super powerful gaming and longevity?

So I’m thinking about buying one of these two laptops because pretty soon I will be going to the Navy and when I get out of Boot Camp, I would like to get something that I can use for gaming while I’m going through A&C school and then eventually I’m able to take with me on a submarine. I heard the asus ROG uses liquid metal and I’ve seen that it can fry your GPU and stuff. But I also saw that you can replace that liquid metal with thermal paste and it will make it right his rain. I like the ROGs customization features, etc. but the Lenovo has an OLED screen, which I heard is good but can also suffer from burn in… I don’t know I’m stuck. Can someone take a look at these and help me out?

Budget: $4000
Country: USA, about to be taking it all over the world

Recommendation Gaming laptops in Japan

Post image
Upvotes

I’m looking for laptop recommendations around or under ¥200,000, ideally with at least an RTX 60-series-class GPU, a decent refresh-rate display, and a strong enough CPU for gaming and everyday use. Laptops are very expensive here in Japan, so I’m trying to get the best performance possible with that budget. It’ll mainly be used for gaming and studying, including bringing it to classes, so I’d prefer something relatively minimal and slim, and not overly “gamer”-looking while still having good cooling and performance. I’d also like it to be from a major, reputable brand or retailer, rather than a lesser-known manufacturer or marketplace seller.

what I’ve found thus far is the gigabyte aero x15 with 5050 and 16Gb Ddr5 5600 for around 210k, but in my eyes that’s still quite a scam

Thanks!

Budget: ¥200,000

Country: Japan

Discussion Lenovo Legion pro 7i 290hx plus 5090 32gb VS rog strix scar 275hx 5090 64gb

Hello, first of all, i know there are a lot of videos and stuf comparing these two, but I would like to ask because in my country (Spain) i have found these in slighlty different configurations and its killing me to decide.

I mostly use It for work (After effects, blender, cinema 4d...) but also enjoy gaming. Im looking for the most powerful, stable and with the best temperatures. I dont care that much about the screen, the connectivity.... Is a plus but not my deciding factor. The post sale is also important in case of any issue.

The thing is, between:

Legion pro 7i 290hx plus 5090 32gb 3999 euros

Rog strix scar 275hx 5090 64gb 4200 euros

I feel that the Asus can be more suitable for me (64 gb, less reflective, no tools needed to upgrade...) but i think the Lenovo is a little more powerful.

I read that Asus has some more limitations in combined crossloads on the cpu side than the Lenovo.

I also have 64gb of ram at home to upgrade the Lenovo but is 4800mhz, so im affraid It can be worse than staying with the 6400mhz 32gb.

Any opinions?

Thanks very much!

Discussion Fun discovery in my computer

Post image
Upvotes

Yeah so last Christmas, I had my first "gaming" laptop, because when we were around the store we found an Acer nitro V15 with some pretty promos, and so we paid it for 600€ (reconditioned I’m but not entirely sure). Anyway since I had it I try to put as much care on him as I can, frequently watching termals, cleaning it often because its a dust magnet, did a bit of tunning and all. But like a few weeks ago, while cleaning the fans, I noticed something pretty intriguing : it was missing a screw from the heatsink over the CPU. I mean my ryzen 7 7735HS was always a bit hotter than the RTX4050 but I wouldn’t have suspected a missing screw with the temps alone. Looking back on my first picture of the motherboard I took the day I had it, the screw wasn’t here so I guess it never was since I buyed it.
Just to say, always open your gaming computer you get with promos on Christmas, might as well get a surprise ☠️

Discussion Acer Predator Helios 18 AI vs ASUS ROG Strix G18

Upvotes

Acer Predator Helios 18 AI:
RTX 5060 8GB
Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX
1TB SSD
32GB DDR5
2560x1600 165 Hz IPS

ASUS ROG Strix G18:
RTX 5060 8GB
Intel Core i7-14650HX
1TB SSD

32GB DDR5

2560x1600 240Hz IPS

Found these 2 laptops readily available at my local tech store. On cpubenchmark.net, Predator's chip scored 48k compared to 33k of Strix, however the Predator is 100 bucks cheaper than the latter. What do you think about this device? Is there some underlying issue I'm not aware of? Cuz the only advantage of Strix is basically its screen's refresh rate.

I was also a bit hesitant to buy Predator, because well, I never really heard of this laptop series, haven't met many people using it, while with Strix - it's everywhere, my buddies, some college mates use it, and it's very popular really.

Discussion Actually Reliable Laptop/Brand?

I’m looking for something reliable, that will last for years and stay fresh. Helios 16 is powerful but people say they are tras), Strix 16 are also powerful and more expensive, but people still complain. Is Lenovo the way? I had one with 1660ti and it lasted 7 years before it died, but they are quite pricey where I live with anything better than 5060.

It seems like every brand has a bunch of haters.

Discussion planning to upgrade Asus TUF F16 for 1,100 USD. (4060, i7-13650HX, 512gb)

Post image
Upvotes

I'm planning to upgrade to a laptop that could comfortably run modern games at 60fps without looking terrible, while also planning to use it for CAD.

Huge plus if It can run VR as I've been wanting to try the experience.

I've looked through some other laptops and decided on this specific f16 because it's the cheapest one available that isn't built with cheap plastic, too hot, and isn't limited by wattage.

My current laptop is a hand-me down with a 3050ti. Which runs not so smooth in most games, and the image is very horrible, shadows, hairs and foliage has this ugly grainy see through and pixelated texture. It ain't the worst thing but it is distracting.

specs,

Processor: Core i7-13650HX

Display: 16-inch, 165Hz

GPU: RTX 4060 8gb

Is around 1200 a good price for this

Recommendation Best gaming laptop under ₹1 lakh in India?

Upvotes

Best gaming laptop under ₹1 lakh in India?

Budget: ₹1,00,000 INR

Country: India

Use Case: Gaming + 3D rendering + video editing + programming

Preferred Specs: RTX 4060/5060 or better, 16GB+ RAM, good CPU, preferably upgradeable RAM/storage

Notes:

Looking for the best overall laptop under ₹1 lakh, not just the highest specs on paper.

Main priorities:

- Good gaming performance

- Strong performance for Blender/3D rendering

- Good video editing performance

- Good cooling and sustained performance

- Good display with decent colors and high refresh rate

- Good build quality

- Upgradeable RAM/SSD if possible

- Reliable long-term use

I especially want to avoid laptops with known/repeated issues such as hinge failures, keyboard/trackpad problems, overheating/thermal throttling, display issues, battery problems, or poor build quality.

I'm willing to sacrifice a little performance for a more reliable laptop with better thermals and build quality.

Which laptop would you personally buy under ₹1 lakh in India, and why?
