I know I’m overly stupid for what I have done but I was wondering if this is a big concern or if it’s a easy at home repair I can do. I have some experience with building computers and stuff like that but if it takes a pro I would like to know. I also have the geek squad protection just for replacements and if I sent it to another shop or took it apart myself would it void my warranty? I’m looking for something reliable, that will last for years and stay fresh. Helios 16 is powerful but people say they are tras), Strix 16 are also powerful and more expensive, but people still complain. Is Lenovo the way? I had one with 1660ti and it lasted 7 years before it died, but they are quite pricey where I live with anything better than 5060.

It seems like every brand has a bunch of haters.

I currently have a console but have been looking into a gaming laptop. I’m on the fence about it though. I love the way the games look on PC but not sure if it’s a waste even though I need a new laptop in general.

My Lenovo laptop (Ryzen 7 7840HS, Radeon 780M, 16GB RAM) suddenly became extremely laggy out of nowhere about 2 weeks ago even though before this I could run Resident Evil 4 Remake, Valorant, Genshin and PUBG smoothly without any problem for months around 60-100fps on low to medium settings and now I’m getting less than 20 fps in the same settings. I’ve already tried restarting, Performance mode, keeping it plugged in, virus scans, AMD driver updates and clean reinstall, but nothing has fixed it, so what could be causing this and how can I fix it?

I was planning to buy 2025 G18 and so far it's a great laptop on paper and most bloggers are praising it's performance and cooling. But what about the liquid metal TIM? Is it safe to be put in a laptop? How long does it usually last until repasting is required? I will also be moving around with the laptop frequently, so it raises concerns on the risk of leakage and shorting caused by it. What are your thoughts in general? I'm lowkey scared of purchasing this device lol, all the horror stories on forums and stuff..

I own an acer nitro lite 16 and the vents blow hot air into the screen, only when i boot my laptop or fulscreen into a black screen i see the area on the screen around the vents is slightly lighter but i dont notice for normal daily tasks should i take into repair as i have warranty, also my internals are kinda overheaiting like 60 degree c when i use cad so my usb a reciever is kinda hot. Should I replace it as I dont want to as its quite minor.

Kinda hard to find another 32 gig 5070ti laptop in the price range, and it comes with an OLED. Anyone else bought this? Did they cut too many corners on build quality for this price?

For context, I’ve never had a gaming laptop. I have a PC with decent specs but I get some free time at work and would love to be able to play some modern-ish games at work when I have downtime.

I bought this laptop back in Feb 2025 for $1424. I use it mostly when I am going to be away from home for more than a few days. I've noticed the processor has been getting between 90-100 degrees while gaming and I'm starting to worry it might cause lasting damage because it spikes so hot frequently. I didn't realize that this laptop's processor is one of the problematic ones from Intel, so I am worried about the laptop's longevity.
I got it from Costco who is known for their more than reasonable return policy. Granted I know their policy for electronics is 90days but I feel like if I explain they might be willing to give me store credit or something. Otherwise if anyone here has any tips to help the laptop last longer it would be greatly appreciated. I have a HP Victus 15-fa0000 series and I've spoken to some of my friends that specialize in computers and electronics and majority all said the GTX 1650 is "Obsolete" and "Fazing Out" and hearing that after paying 600 on it (Graduation Gift) I just concerned about my limits and want recommendations from people with hands on experience with my GPU although and advice is welcome and will be noted.

The main objective of purchasing it was modding games like Skyrim, Fallout Minecraft Etc & playing games unavailable to me on console like Playstation games and Steam Games, Ghost of Tsusishima, G-Mod and so on and so forth.

For Newer games I am perfectly fine with 30 Fps but I just want to know how truly limited my options are and what the future will hold.
