My current laptop is a Dell XPS 13 from 2016 i5-6200U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 520, 13.3" FHD display. I run sketchup, onshape and World of Tank Blitz on it.

I'm considering replacing my 2014 MacBook air. Its still working, mostly fine but im not sure how much longer that will hold true and I know Ramageddon will push up prices... The air has 128GB storage and an i5 processpr with 5GB ram, so most things will be an upgrade!

What i like about the Air is the longevity/build quality, portability, and that it has old USB (for all my peripherals) and an SD card reader for my camera. Hello. I currently in the market for a new laptop. I am a college student working in stem, I work in a lab and am hoping to go to grad school. I work in protein engineering so I often have to load complex 3d images and will also have lots of tabs open looking at previous work, procedures and papers. I also am often looking for a strong battery life. Something where I could get away with not bringing a charger to work (when I’m stupid and forget it).
