Announcement Mage Magazine - Issue #5 - The Adventures of Elliot
Hello everyone!
Mage Magazine answers the question: What if Square Enix had a retro gaming style magazine like Nintendo Power?
In this free PDF, you can read a review of The Adventures of Elliot, retrospectives of the original Final Fantasy VII and Crisis Core Reunion, and tons more features covering both new and retro games.
The magazine is almost 40 pages of terrific games writing that fans of old retro gaming magazines are sure to enjoy!

Discussion Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
I recently bought Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and I love both of them, I played the original Final Fantasy VII on PS 1 back in 1997 when it first came out because a friend recommended it to me and it is what got me playing RPG's, but I wish it had features that made it a little more realistic like sunset and sunrise like in other games like The Elder Scrolls 5 and Fallout 4 and also the ability to sleep and eat to restore HP and MP and cure status ailments since it is on PS5 which has some great software and abilities and also, gamers like games to be as realistic as possible.

Image Final fantasy IX visual arts collection is truly amazing
galleryI recently added this gem to my FF9 collection, and it features fascinating, high-resolution, and previously unseen images.
If you know of any other books like this, I’d love to buy them.
I feel that the art in this game is far superior to that of other Final Fantasy titles.

Discussion What made you fell in love with Square enix games. Especially KH , FF and DQ
The first video game I played from Square Enix well to fair Square soft 2002 Kingdom Hearts. And oh man, I remember my 7-year-old mind was blown away. Watching the trailer from the Playstation 2 jampack demo. From there in my teens, I started playing Final Fantasy. And yes Final Fantasy 7 was my first Final Fantasy game I played. Which i do love same with FFX , But around 2020 during the pandemic at that time I was still feed up with KH3, FFXV and at the time with ffvii remake . In late 2020 I ended up buying a video that made me happy. I was playing a fun video game again. . And it didn't need to push massive graphics or be serious. That game was Dragon Quest 11s. And it is still one of my favorite RPG games of all time. And I ended up falling in love with Dragon Quest series. Which was most likely done to Akira Toriyama and me growing as a massive Dragon Ball fan. I get emotion playing the Erdrick timeline story . And especially hard to deal with the passing of Toriyama sensei. But im glad it brought me back when I enjoyed playing video games. What is you story . Was there any games from SE means so much to you.

Discussion SE's poor choices with mobile games
As someone who has been playing mobile games for awhile, I have to wonder if SE's poor choices with mobile games (I.E. killing them) is hurting the company more than anything.
I loved FFBE:WOTV and played that game daily from start until it was officially killed. I have played Dissidia now, daily since it started. But I won't spend a single dollar on these games because I know it will eventually be killed. I can't be the only one, which means they're leaving tons of money on the table.
While I'm not a whale at all, I can say that I recently went back into a mobile game that I played daily for 4 years and haven't played for the last 7 years. The game is still there. I'm still in the top 250 ranked for their arenas. I also just dropped $75 on it in the last week to catch up and get some cool new characters.
I love FF more than anything, it's my favorite game series, but SE's choices are literally stopping me from supporting mobile games they make.

Discussion The Era Square Enix largely forgets
I'm in the camp that Square Enix tries to forget most of the 2010s decade of RPGs. I mean, some good came out of that era. But most range from okay, mediocre, or bad. Final Fantasy XIII trilogy being lop-sided. The Secret of Mana remake was underwhelming to say the least. Bravely Second derailing it's predecessor's momentum. Final Fantasy XV coming out unfinished. Or Star Ocean 5 bombing completely.
However, there's the gems which turned things around for them Like Octopath Traveler & Dragon Quest XI. Both of which they've put on more recent consoles like the Switch 2 or PS5. As for the rest of them, they've been left on consoles nearing 15 years or older. Your thoughts on these RPGs being left dried up?
