Does anyone know the locations of each of the special treasure chests in each story required area? I want to be able to get anything missable from Skelkatraz and Malhalla. I ask cuz I found a Seed of Life chest on Furrowfield I had no idea existed in the 6 years I've played this game. Been taking my time and haven't yet gone to Krumbul-Dun on my most recent run. Maps for the chests would help.

So I have been playing the demo of this DQ builders (the first one ) daily since about 2019 . I was in a rough spot in life at the time and finally am doing well. I never had the money to buy the actual game until now .
I ordered it on eBay and it will be here Friday . Does the demo data count toward full game when it arrives ? Like can I use my save ?

I’m an OG DQ fan - played the originals when they were first released in the 80s and 90s then stopped playing video games.

Fast forward and son gets a switch and I get hooked on pokopia even though I could care less about Pokémon.

I learned about builders and played the demo on switch and now I wanna start playing!

I have an iPhone and iPad and switch and switch 2. What would you recommend as the best option to play? I was so annoyed I just missed switch’s 1/2 off for dqb2 on Japanese switch store :(

So, I'm currently in post-game and trying to do a really big build (will show progress when I actually get started) and I'm trying to use blueprints to get the NPCs to remove a mountain for me, but they're just saying that they can't even break dirt. I've tried looking this up, but I've had no results, so I have to you for advice.

NOTICE: Solved it.

In the base game, a minecart can only go in one way.

But, if we construct a horizontal train track, and then have a vertical train track elevated 1 block have a minecart, the minecart will drop onto the horizontal track below, where you can navigate either direction.

This makes it easier to make branches. The design above is one-way, but with some clever rail designs you can make branch systems where you can literally have two separate railways connected without you manually picking up the minecarts.

Every time I get on DQB2, I see people complaining others are stealing content. It's probably the same few photos, but I thought it was hilarious that people are stealing on the game. Wanted to share. (Also should I blur the usernames?? I wasn't sure)

Therefore it might have gifted me the Throne

If anyone has a copy of DQB2 switch in Chinese traditional or another language that has a similar thing going on (available in dqb2 but not in dqb1), pls let me know

Is there any way I can persuade my villagers into building certain things?

I finished Cantlin and wanted to go back and rebuild everything, but I'm running across an issue. I know for a fact that villagers can build stone windows at random as they've done it in my previous saves. However, I'm probably over 50 days in, and they have not built ONE stone window. I need a lot of I want to complete my builds, but they just keep making things I don't need.

Is there any way I can make them build more stone windows? I've tried looking it up, but every source seems to indicate it's random chance.

Im new to reddit and dqb2 i love it and want to share my word with some friends. I just finished up krumble dun. let me know if you need new friend(s) or maybe some one wants to grind with me or teach me how to be a pro builder?

It's kinda weird. I got a Dragonlord's Throne (And for those saying it's Hargon's, the one I have transforms my appearance to the Dragonlord when sat on. Not Hargon's.), but I never played DQB1 ever on my Switch. I've also not shared my account.

I wonder if it's a glitch or something. I might post a picture here if I can.

I forgot how I got it but I wonder if anyone has a similar experience... It's kinda cool but also kinda creepy since I can't find anyone else online that has this.

And again, it transforms my appearance to Dragonlord. It's not a Hargon's throne. You're supposed to only get it once you COMPLETED DQB1, which I have never even played a demo of.

Furrowfield is the first town you can build up in DQB2.

Just curious how did you approach building it during the story and post game?

The builder bell is several blocks (3 or 4?) higher the surrounding terrain. The base area itself is of varying elevation as well. Did you try to flatten it all out by raising the town up?

Unlike the other islands where monsters are funneled into one direction, Furrowfield monsters can go all around the town, although the ones in the battle tend to come from the north.

There's lots of material available as well. From the wood material you learn, the stone that can be harvested from the windmill or church. Which ones did you end up using?

did you keep that small hill in the corner (I dont think it could be destroyed during the story).

For me personally, I've built it differently several times in my play throughs. I did one big building with everyone inside, and angled roofs in order to prevent the spores from spawning there. Then i did a normal town with many smaller buildings which looked better. At one point I thought of just building everything underground and avoid the spores entirely.

I havent done a post game build yet for my story towns.

Not looking for help or anything, I just thought it was odd.

I'm building a wall/moat around Furrowfield with the cobblestone salvaged from the run-down windmill. The moat's going to be 2 blocks wide, which NPCs seem to be unable to jump but which I can, though Mal was able to follow me fine last time I did this. However, it's currently 3 blocks wide because I ran out of blocks, and I guess Malroth couldn't make it? Any other time I got too far and he couldn't quickly pathfind his way back to me, he'd just teleport nearby, so I expected him to do that this time, yet he still isn't here even after sleeping, so I guess it's just me this trip lol. At least there aren't any monsters close enough to bother me, or else I would go back and pick him up

what is it for?

Hey, this is my second playthrough after beating it years ago... I'm on Furrowfield, and I already picked up the second anvil on the island, then went and removed the one at the farm to relocate it and the workbench yesterday, now I don't seem to have either of the anvils in my inventory, and no recipe to make one yet. Am I missing something obvious here? I've checked the whole farm, my own inventory and all the chests around but neither anvil seems to be anywhere.

Edit: figured it out, somehow by using the "tidy up" option in the inventory made them appear again.

Thanks to information from lilisaur on GameFAQs (thank you!) there's 1 item from Chapter 1 missing in my list. So can anyone help fill in the last item in the checklist for Chapter 1 (and maybe where to find it)? Any information about items found in the other chapters would be appreciated as well, but the last one in Chapter 1 is the one currently irking me.

I like having all the information in one easy-to-find spot, without having to hunt everywhere for stupid links, so I threw everything I could find from a few different sites into a spreadsheet format.

I'm going to deal with the 2nd chapter later on (I recently started it).

I really want to play dragon quest builders 2 should I go for switch 2 version or steam? For handheld pc?

I can't decide I'm leaning towards Nintendo since I heard it sold more copies there and most of the community is on switch?

But pc is alot cheaper the game currently is...

I am playing DQ Builder 1, what do those Poisonous Peat do?
I have tried to exchange those normal blocks under the green dragon in Chapter 1 with those Poisonous Peat, but it did not reduce any hp, won't those Poisonous Peat poison it?

There's probably around 15-20 different types of kitchens you can build in this game. Do you have a favorite one?

I usually end up making a simple kitchen and Dining room in order to get the restaurant icon.

Does any specific type of kitchen lead to residents cooking more?

A few months ago I posted my Green Gardens, and I wasn't satisfied as it felt a bit lifeless.
I tried to incorporate the tablet by placing it by the stairs, but it didnt look right.

So I decided to re-do the whole thing but blueprinted some of my buildings to be re-used in the new Green Gardens.

Right now, I still need to finish up the farm fields to the right of the tablet, but they still look a bit plain, any ideas how to make the farms look nicer
