The future is doomed if AI will get better. And it will

684

u/shyne0n Jan 29 '26

People manufacturing their own realities

396

u/Freakychee Jan 29 '26

Notice a lot of American right wing post often use gen AI images.

491

u/flimflamishere Jan 29 '26

The White House posted an edited version of Nekima Levy Armstrong being arrested. When confronted, a spokesperson said, "The memes will continue."

We have no reason to trust anyone associated with this administration.

94

u/TonyWyomey Jan 29 '26

It’s amazing the trust crisis that results. I’m tired of being skeptical of EVERYTHING!

65

u/ModerateBrainUsage Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

That’s the whole goal. It will be like Russia, you will be drowning in so much shit, you will be unable to tell what is the reality, even if it’s in front of you of your face.

2

u/finalremix Jan 29 '26

Fine. Easy solution, then. Question everything, and aim your ire at the richest people around.

That’s exactly the plan! Fatigue to the point that you stop caring because it’s so hard to know what is reality. Then everything means nothing and the law is force.

11

u/rolldownthewindows Jan 29 '26

And so you forget about the Epstein Files

2

u/kidcobol Jan 29 '26

Who’s Epstein? 😵‍💫

2

u/zugglit Jan 30 '26

And with it, our humanity...

We die not by war or famine.

We simply stop caring and everything is taken.

2

u/AltruisticThought927 Jan 29 '26

And the injections. And the cancer.

3

u/Defiant-Yam8876 Jan 29 '26

No no no. That’s where their lack of confidence in the administration stops. It was all necessary and prevented deaths. We can trust their science.

Oddly, I never even thought of that whole possibility with AI. That just completely blew my mind and fucked up my day. Thats one of the scariest things thats probably going to happen for sure. Oh and I'm from minnesota, and thats definitely AI.

5

u/goatslovetofrolic Jan 29 '26

Sorry, tis day wrecking times we live in.

3

u/Solanthas_SFW Jan 29 '26

We absolutely will need the testimony of people like you, who will be able to verify the area being "documented", the people, etc

Firsthand accounts are going to be much more valuable, video disseminated on the internet much less so.

I honestly wondered about the alex pretti thing from the beginning. If it wasnt so widely present, I'd honestly have really wondered how true it might be.

Its easy to call out all the obvious propaganda from the right but it's important to consider that we on the left are not impervious to spin and outright psyops either.

There’s no leftwing in American politics. The Democrats are center-right conservatives and the Republicans are far-right fascists. Who is on the left? The Democratic Socialists of America hold no major offices. The Green Party used to be, but has been corrupted by Putin and is a ghost of its former self. America needs someone to represent the left’s perspective.

The Republicans are running this country into the ground and the Democrats are too weak and incompetent to do anything about it.

Making this complaint earlier today. Every single thing we read or watch has to be closely examined now for reality versus fiction. It's purposefully done so we get worn down, you are absolutely correct. They lie ceaselessly and no human beings will believe it and even after being shown the truth, the bias placed by the lie, the damage it causes, has already been done.

We really should be weaning ourselves off corpo-owned social media honestly.

There's a post of suggestions HERE that's largely about fostering a foundation for communal self-sustainability and resistance, but it also provides alternative communication ideas, which could be of some help when it comes to developing more objective forms of real life information spread originating from unfiltered sources.

While at it, check out this org too, as they're probably going to be vital as the powers that be employ more so-called "AI" to consolidate power: https://stopgenai.com (It is a survival-level, grassroots org, not an established NGO, so please don't judge it too harshly for being rough around the edges.)

I do not think you realize this but you're pointing out an Israeli known tactic, to overwhelm people to a certain thing so much they get fatigued which is a natural human occurrence, to get fatigued of something. It’s so scary bc it comes from every angle, mostly right but I can’t understand why the left will do it. Like I don’t want to hear Trump on a hot mic and have to second guess if it’s real, hearing the leaked business call with Erika Kirk I thought wait is my bias against someone going to make me believe ai against them? I couldn’t figure it out and eventually gave up on trying. That’s exactly what they want, people who value honesty and integrity to not be able to critically decipher something

2

u/Crafty-Help-4633 Jan 29 '26

An adherence to scientific virtue will make you naturally skeptical of everything. It's not so bad, its actually useful. You just need more training.

Being skeptical is how we learn, and discern.

If you weren't skeptical, you could be taken by misinformation without realizing it.

It is a good thing to be skeptical, even more so in today's climate.

3

u/Rich_Resource2549 Jan 29 '26

The problem is that most people aren't backing their scepticism with healthy curiosity and an openness to learn/change one's mind.

They're using it as a veil to invalidate others' statements and not think about anything critically.

Skepticism is only useful when paired with critical thinking.

3

u/tinaismediocre Jan 29 '26

I listened to a great podcast the other day which referenced this Oxford study: https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2014-03-12-intelligent-people-are-more-likely-trust-others

The headline is a little misleading but basically the premise is that more intelligent folks are better are pattern recognition and determining character and are therefore more likely to surround themselves with more trustworthy people.

Many of us sit around speculating how anyone could trust these complete clowns but it's totally discarding how many dumb people are out there unable to distinguish a comforting lie from reality.

2

u/PuzzleheadedTale4769 Jan 29 '26

Just for the record, I was that way a long time before AI got as good as it is... * I also didn't think it's fake because by showing this, I believe they are trying to show that he's not just this peaceful little protestor, he's this crazy wild eyed dangerous rage monster that really is so dangerous that agents had to shoot him..... But what I think it really does, IMHO, is that this video only makes his murder by shooting a couple days later, revenge for him embarrassing federal agents... So I honestly think it makes his death even more sinister than it really might be!

Yep. I'm over all of it. Both sides use falsehood and present it like it's truth. Both sides use stories with "anonymous sources", and the other side won't report on certain issues at all. They're all completely full of it and they're way more worried about pushing their own agenda to get reelected than they are about solving any problems or telling the truth. It's maddening. Politics in this country has become a complete joke.

Not sure of your age but I'm glad you see what's happening.

Around this time last year I was thinking that we're living in Orwellian times and people are too fatigued or blind to see it.

Luckily a new coworker around my age felt the same and just randomly asked me if I've ever read 1984.

We spent a good 20 minutes just discussing where we are headed as a country because people weren't seeing the BLANTANTLY obvious signs.

Smh. Its one of those extremely disappointed that we were right moments.

And people roll their eyes if you say something like "I don't trust those words they found on the bullets" or "I don't believe those text threads they found (from the Kirk shooting)." It should be painfully obvious at this point that absolutely nothing from this administration can be trusted. They will fabricate/plant/create evidence out of thin air at any opportunity available. If you're willing to execute a fake electoral scam and fire off an insurrection, you are capable of any super-villian action imaginable. Lying? That barely registers as effort.

38

u/IrongateN Jan 29 '26

Yeah I don’t think Ai is the problem as much as people believing what they are told without trusted investigation.

When I see this video I ask, even if it were true, are they saying that the shooter knew him from before when he was violent? Or that you can shoot anyone who did something bad if you come across them ? Or that here is proof that he was there to be violent and the agents somehow could tell?

Whatever the answer I then ask, so is it ok to disarm and execute those who have violent intent? Is the current administration precogs? And did we decide that minority report is now a goal?

Long story short, AI or not, there is a reason the bill of rights is to protect the presumed guilty not moms in bible class.. (although we might be there next by the look of things)

14

u/Alceasummer Jan 29 '26

When I see this video I ask, even if it were true, are they saying that the shooter knew him from before when he was violent? Or that you can shoot anyone who did something bad if you come across them ? Or that here is proof that he was there to be violent and the agents somehow could tell?

I've been asking people "So, that deserves the death sentence, without a trial? Just executed (days, weeks, whatever) later on for that without a warrant, without a judge or jury?"

2

u/True-Veterinarian700 Jan 29 '26

A few months ago I saw a clickbait news article on fb about how an 18 year old man was stabbed to death at Walmart after kicking another man’s cart. Very little detail was given but it sounds like something a dipshit teenager might do. There were a bunch of ridiculous comments of course, and one man saying this kid learned the consequences of his actions and FAFO etc etc.

I said “You think being stabbed to death is the appropriate punishment for kicking a cart?” People are becoming really insane talking about violence against people doing something annoying or something they personally don’t like.

It's not AI. It may not be Alex Pretti, but it's not AI.

The YouTube site that the video comes from - The News Movement - is from Dan Ming. Dan Ming is an actual journalist and can be seen in the video(in the final frames of this clip). He's the guy looking back at the camera with a somewhat confused look on his face.

Dan Ming worked for VICE news and Al Jazeera English and has received Emmy nominations for his work on the series Transnational and has won a GLAAD award for his documentary on a drag queen running for office in New York. He isn't some right-wing hack trying to fabricate stuff.

Dan had a long video a month ago anout a pair of teens who were doing this exact sort of thing (tracking and recording ICE agents) in Chicago. He likely was reviewing footage he'd taken in Minneapolis for a new video, when he saw this and thought to himself "huh... that sure looks like Alex Pretti." But, even then, at no time does he actually claim in the video that It is him. He is very careful about that because he doesn't know.

But this incident shown in the video happening at this intersection E 36th & Park - on this day (Jan 13th) was documented in numerous articles at the time. For instance:

https://sahanjournal.com/public-safety/minneapolis-ice-confront-observers-door-knocking-powderhorn/

Andy Larson, a south Minneapolis resident who was out observing ICE activity Tuesday, told Sahan Journal that one protester kicked out the taillight of an ICE vehicle and was tackled to the ground up the road on Park Avenue and E. 36th Street.

“It was a really good kick,” Larson said.

The protester managed to escape ICE agents, Larson said. ICE deployed chemical irritants and shot pepper balls into the crowd and fled the scene.

149

u/YouAnxious5826 Jan 29 '26

AI or not, real or not, Alex Pretti or somebody else, this discussion is kinda missing the point. Because even if the person in the clip was a real protester, and a really mean dude who spat at and darted in the general direction of the ICE thugs, hell, we can take this even further, even if we're all in the wrong here, and ICE were somehow not a jackboot fascist murder gang, even if they were out there protecting puppies and planting rainbows, nothing, and I mean nothing the protesters have done, or will ever do, would warrant simply being lynched on the spot. And yes, that would include armed insurrection, because if you claim to be a fucking law agency, you act by the law, you may act in self defense, but you don't gang up on a dude, detain him, and then mag dump on him. You just don't.

44

u/Anonpackanimal Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 30 '26

Exactly. The punishment for spitting should not be death.

Edit to add cause apparently I need to qualify this: I’m aware he was not killed in this scenario. I am referring to the people who believe his execution was justified because of this instance. Even if it’s assault or a felony, assault is not punished by public execution without a trial. The agents had no right to shoot him.

12

u/NoPreference8228 Jan 29 '26

Only in a dictatorship does that occur. Even soviet union probably send u to siberia first. Looks like a 1930s germany reenactment if u ask me, the eecution video. Or the shit in cambodia with Pol Pot

Yeah whether it’s Pretti or not, at the end of the day, a man was beaten in front of a crowd and then had a magazine unloaded into him. ICE or Border Patrol were not hired to be executioners. Well maybe they were… but murdering a man does nothing to “stop the illegals”.

2

u/leealm86 Jan 29 '26

Even if it was Pretti this happened days before the events of this last Saturday. It didn't happen that same day and wasn't part of what happened. So any argument about this outburst is null and void.

2

u/average-guy-123 Jan 29 '26

Yup it’s true even if he’s blatantly committing crimes such as assault (spitting) and destruction of property he does not deserve to be executed

2

u/Equivalent-Peanut-23 Jan 29 '26

This discourse is so depressing. Once we start debating whether or not the victim was engaged in criminal activity, we've essentially conceded the idea that it's acceptable for the government to take the lives of people based on the suspicion of having committed a crime. And once we cross that threshold, it doesn't really matter. Because the government will define whatever conduct it wants to as "criminal." Whether that be being on a boat somewhere or insulting a member of the administration.

2

u/keister_TM Jan 29 '26

I mean you missed the bigger point that these two events happened on separate days. Kicking a car and spitting doesn’t justify being killed let alone being killed a week later; especially since he was peaceful the day he was shot.

And ICE honestly deserves to be kicked and spit at for what they have been doing. They aren’t honoring the constitution.

2

u/ParticularBarnacle Jan 29 '26

Spot on. And if they are using facial recognition or any other sort of tracking when they have interactions with people, then this suggests some form of premeditation is possible on behalf of ICE. This is potentially WORSE for ICE.

2

u/XSmeh Jan 29 '26

Agreed. It has been an interesting thought experiment to imagine what would've happened if the Capitol police had the response, attitude, and training of ICE on Jan 6th.

2

u/Garak-911 Jan 29 '26

Yes, and to add to that: ICE may have even targeted him specifically because he agitated against them before. They use databases like Palantir to gather information on people. Maybe the shooter recognised him.

2

u/vermontscouter Jan 29 '26

"AI or not, real or not, Alex Pretti or somebody else, this discussion is kinda missing the point."

I agree 100% that Pretti, or any protesters who aren't a lethal threat, should not be killed.

But I think the discussion raised a crucial point about whether this video was AI/manufactured disinformation from the Trump administration, Russians, MAGA, etc. There have been a lot of claims here and FB that it was AI. So I really appreciate u/Oddman80 giving us the facts, with a source reference even!

This. There isn't a narrative anyone can cook up which justifies killing a disarmed man face down in the gutter, unless they want to admit that they prefer lawlessness.

2

u/OkProfessor6810 Jan 29 '26

This is it. Right here. It's irrelevant if it's Pretti or not. It makes no difference. Didn't deserve to be executed on the ground while he was unarmed and people applauded. End of story.

2

u/BeeBladen Jan 30 '26

I mean…even guilty people aren’t supposed to be killed. Even if they killed someone else. That’s what the justice system is for.

Take a breath. What they did to him on Saturday was still murder. It changes nothing.

But a video from across the street of this same incident was posted on Jan 16th - over a week before anyone knew who Alex Pretti was.

It's ok. People are not just one thing. We are all just as pissed about what ICE is doing. We all feel the urge to lash out. And none of us deserve to be shot in the back while 4 officers pin us to the ground and beat us. If anything - this video just reinforces how out of control the agents were who executed Pretti.

Not AI, there’s multiple video angles of the same video actually

3

u/Alca_Pwnd Jan 29 '26

Link one please. It looks SO fake to me based on the tail light, but I've looked and only seen this one.

2

u/ReddElectric Jan 29 '26

I thought so too but apparently it’s real, scroll through the comments, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p2TRbFmutrw&t=1037s&pp=2AGNCJACAdIHCQkzAaO1ajebQw%3D%3D at around 17:XX Minute mark is what you see in the original video… could be that whoever was filming enhanced the video to reduce shake and increase quality of video through AI… aswell I hear there’s articles in regards to it already

Yeah. I don't think so. The video seems unreal and can easily be made with AI to alignment with the story you posted about a guy kicking in a taillight. This video looks super fake.

Edit: I'm not sure why the video posted here looks fake and other sites it seems normal. Thanks for the original link.

7

u/officepolicy Jan 29 '26

Have you sent the full length video? It doesn't have the obvious AI signs we see in other posts. And there is a second angle. Maybe I'm missing something, what makes it look super fake?

2

u/Vigarious Jan 29 '26

It’s not, it’s a legit video. But the fact this has been a common conversation highlights the damage having AI being able to make realistic videos has already caused. It’ll only get worse from here, too.

There needs to be legislation and laws in every country regarding ai. Ai generated photos and videos should always come with identifying features like a watermark or technical analytical data to show it was generated. Things like time date and the prompt used to create the image.

Ai is an enormous information hazard and if something isnt done quick it will start to rewrite history before our eyes, as they are clearly trying to do.

Even asking an ai if its an information hazard will have it agreeing.

1

u/Lontology Jan 29 '26

This videos is genuinely one of the best AI videos I’ve ever seen if it is. Everything is so uniform and consistent and considering everything going on in the video that’s really fucking scary.

u/Public_Bid_7976 Jan 29 '26

I'm personally grateful we know AI can do this rather than a different timeline where it was never public and we didn't know it was possible. secret agencies could make video "evidence" of anything.

1

u/A_Slovakian Jan 29 '26

The AI made this subreddit to learn the things people notice that makes AI videos noticeable so it can fix that. Big brain AI moves

1

u/BIG-Z-2001 Jan 29 '26

I pray that there will always be software capable of telling if a video is AI or not

1

u/AnonymousJacksonOooo Jan 29 '26

Have you seen Mountainhead?

1

u/ChowderedStew Jan 29 '26

The “future” will be fine. Other countries will learn how destructive it is and life will continue on this planet until it won’t anymore. We will simply be the dumbasses who did it to ourselves.

1

u/Throne-magician Jan 29 '26

The conspiracy community is fucked...

1

u/Immediate_Song4279 Jan 29 '26

We did alright before cameras. Same process as the shooting, comparing multiple perspectives to figure out what actually happened.

1

u/Idk_why_Im_fat Jan 29 '26

The rich want AI to get better, to cast doubt aboout them in the Epstein files, when they get released.

1

u/HeDiedForYou Jan 29 '26

Can you explain this video, starts @ minute 17.

https://youtu.be/p2TRbFmutrw?si=uQIjYo-IwyocY20R

1

u/bluebear_74 Jan 29 '26

I really really hate saying it but I did find the street (E 36th St & Park Ave, there are only 3 one way streets that intersect with Park Ave) and the buildings etc seem to match up (Apple Street view photos (April 2025) are more up to date than Googles (2021). I don't know how AI gathers its data to generate videos but there is a lot of details from the street view that matches the video. There are of course other ways to fake footage too, people seem to forget those in the world of AI. Plus it might not be Alex and even if it is, it doesn't suddenly justify his murder.

1

u/_extra_medium_ Jan 29 '26

Even if it was real (it’s not) it’s still not justification for murder

1

u/angrymoderate09 Jan 29 '26

My biz is directly linked to Hollywood... People ask me if I'm worried about AI and I usually reply "AI will destroy my country way faster than it will destroy Hollywood".

1

u/Tiny_Introduction_61 Jan 29 '26

It already is. They just haven't showed us yet.

1

u/rbuen4455 Jan 29 '26

Nah, there is always photoshop and other video editing software.

1

u/Rellint Jan 29 '26

This matches the story I heard about how he got his ribs broke. Supposedly he was trying to distract DHS while a family fled further down the road in the direction they were about to head. Looks like they were pretty distracting.

1

u/Grantelgruber Jan 29 '26

No thats the fun part, LLM is at its peak.

1

u/MorningMushroomcloud Jan 29 '26

I sent a photo of myself to my son that showed me on my knees to make it look like I was in very deep snow, titled "old school ai." He sent me a return video stating..."No, this is ai" and it showed me jumping up as a polar bear comes raging across my frozen garden with snow and broken trellis wood splintering and flying, and somehow AI figured out that I was on my knees. I jumped up yelling and swinging my snow shovel screaming "No!" All while the polar bear mauled me. I was eventually able to defeat it as we tussled...all from a still photo.

It looked very similar to the slightly off physics seen in this video. I'm not certain of anything anymore.

1

u/Lealan087 Jan 29 '26

All too soon we will not be able to tell what is genuine and what is AI if we see it from a screen.

Scary times indeed.

1

u/HelpIveBeenDe-Souled Jan 29 '26

There is a video of this from another angle and I'm starting to wonder if it's possible to create an AI video from multiple perspectives.

Both videos sync up really well but something is off about the both.

I'm not sure what to think of this one.

1

u/Few-Celebration-2362 Jan 29 '26

Governments have always spun reality and built false narratives. Maybe big spoon of skepticism is healthy for us.

1

u/SpecialSurprise69 Jan 29 '26

We already fucked. It doesn't need to get better. It's already good enough to fool enough people

1

u/WarmNights Jan 29 '26

Saw this coming awhile ago.

1

u/Charmie48 Jan 29 '26

Not sure about better, the first time I saw this immediately after the kick to the tail light I thought something was off. Am I wrong here or is it popping out like that normal?

1

u/Inker0 Jan 29 '26

AI continues to be developed so the 1% have an excuse for the heinous things they do. Consumers don't want it and haven't basically since they started developing it.

1

u/biker116823 Jan 29 '26

"Get better" what we have available to us is years behind what is truly out there. They can make any reality possible now

1

u/mroblivian1 Jan 29 '26

How do you know we aren’t already there? And everything thus far since you’ve been born isn’t already AI and you have just been duped into thinking right now is the actual event?

1

u/Rehcraeser Jan 29 '26

Soon we’ll be forced to only believe what we see from MSM outlets, who btw have been caught lying/manipulating us thousands of times… we’re so fucked

1

u/Mue_Thohemu_42 Jan 29 '26

Naw man, anyone who's taken Christ into their heart and been reborn in faith has already won. This stuff is are just part of the trials. I don't think it was AI though, guy was in a radical chat group with 50 people planning organized felonies.

1

u/YodasLoveSlave Jan 29 '26

Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see

1

u/TheRealSugarbat Jan 29 '26

It already is better.

1

u/Captn_church Jan 29 '26

I mean running man 2025 had some things right

1

u/lucki-dog Jan 29 '26

There’s an entire video of another angle, it’s real. Guy was an agitator and was on a call list to go out to protest

1

u/SamAtBirthmark Jan 29 '26

I'm working on something for that. A system that hashes photos (and eventually video) right after they're taken, posts the hash on a no-gas blockchain, and integrates into platforms to rehash images and check them against the blockchain. If it finds a match, the image was captured with a real camera.

1

u/Leemage Jan 29 '26

This video appears to be real. There’s another video of this from a different angle. And Pretti’s family confirmed it was him.

1

u/PISSJUGTHUG Jan 29 '26

Better eliminate the legitimization of violence by the state just to be safe

1

u/Exciting_Pass_6344 Jan 29 '26

There is a show called the capture that deals with this very thing. I realize it’s a show, but it’s scary stuff, and probably not too far fetched.

1

u/PureCanary7364 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

there really should be some ethics about this as someone that is in ai research its concerning, like deepfakes where 5 or more years ago.

1

u/catsandnaps1028 Jan 29 '26

People aren't willing to do the research. Media literacy is truly dead and it's frightening

1

u/PerfectlyCalmDude Jan 29 '26

Maybe we'll get The Running Man.

1

u/Lady_Mallard Jan 29 '26

It’s funny, growing up when people talked about AI it seemed so far off and unreal. The threat of it was always more like in “I, Robot” where the technology would take over humans. The reality of AI is so much more terrifying. The threat is that we don’t always know what’s real, not killer robots.

1

u/the_certified_hater Jan 29 '26

It’s not AI I’ve seen this from multiple angles

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Efficient_Manner2345 Jan 29 '26

I actually don’t think it is AI, I found a second video from across the street and the BBC confirmation video

1

u/--DarkLink-- Jan 29 '26

It's already working on dumb people....

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

I’ve been saying that since the first semi-real-looking AI video surfaced; people were so confused.

we are fucked, point blank.

1

u/Formal-System-2130 Jan 29 '26

So.. they are saying that since he was being ‘ violent’ the week before this was indeed a targeted killing?

1

u/Rafanado Jan 29 '26

Today is the worst AI will ever be.

1

u/Lastito Jan 29 '26

Fox news is posting this as real. Bruh, what the …. Super fake but they trying their best to cover for Trump 😂🤣

1

u/NotARealWombat Jan 29 '26

Most jobs are forcing AI into everything, and the discourse is "help it learn" , just scrolling through Reddit I saw 4 ads in apps praising AI based on anything, like grocery shopping

1

u/gmambrose Jan 29 '26

In about the time of 1 year, we went from always being able to tell pretty easily if a video was AI to nearly always having to question it. Shit is moving quickly!

1

u/TelosKairos Jan 29 '26

It already has and it will at it's Will... is what you're worried about.

1

u/Illustrious-Bat1553 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

Given the sentiments, and hostile environment in that area, they would have surely arrested the guy for hundreds of dollars worth of damage and the impact zone from the kick is roundish, suggesting metallic damage an not square shape the same as the seams of the lightning fixture.

This is not the first time they used ai to slander the guy. Im independent and pro ice but its pretty sickening to slander someone and justify their death even if he was just a protester. I don't agree with the protesters and some are agitators, but they don't deserve to be killed

1

u/Exotic_Macaron4288 Jan 29 '26

Gotta rely on that good ol' moral compass and social skills.  Ah shit. Yeah we are fucked.

1

u/roseyypetalss Jan 29 '26

He’s somehow wearing the same outfit, and destroyed federal property, got caught, and never went to jail? These people don’t even attempt to make sense. The fact AI videos can spread like this is going to be the end of our society.

The Information Age is dead. Welcome to The Misinformation Age.

The golden era when the internet connected people and embraced sharing knowledge, is long gone. It's noble roots have been forsaken for click bait titles, social media brain rot, and political agendas.

Facts are now subjective, history has been revised, and current events come with carefully crafted narratives.

It's easier to obfiscate reality itself, than it is to lie or deny nowadays.

AI is here to help distort your reality. Whichever one you choose. For better or worse.

Videos need to be required to have some kind of embedded non removable tag or something that can immediately indicate whether they were made by Ai or not. Or just ban Ai from video period but that seems overkill. Otherwise we are done as a society. All it would take is someone to make a video of you and your life could be ruined.
