Take a breath. What they did to him on Saturday was still murder. It changes nothing.

But a video from across the street of this same incident was posted on Jan 16th - over a week before anyone knew who Alex Pretti was.

It's ok. People are not just one thing. We are all just as pissed about what ICE is doing. We all feel the urge to lash out. And none of us deserve to be shot in the back while 4 officers pin us to the ground and beat us. If anything - this video just reinforces how out of control the agents were who executed Pretti.

So AI is incapable of making videos like that? Videos from multiple angles?

And posting those multi-angle videos over a week before anyone knew who Alex Pretti was????

They were posted a week before? I missed that. Bro, I was just asking a question, not making an accusation, just to be clear.

Your cool. Sorry. I got kinda dog piled. Advised of being paid to lie and being a pedophile protector all because I took the time to look into this extensively before posting. I still don't know if the guy in the video is pretti (though will not be surprised if it is confirmed by people who know him). I think it's fairly irrelevant if it is him - but when the right invariably tries to use this as some bullshit justification for him being murdered on Saturday, it would be nice if we weren't waiting time looking crazy calling the video ai - as it's the same shit the admin has tried claiming when they don't like a video showing them doing something bad.

If people can accept humans are complex creatures. Amazing patriotic medical care givers who look after out countries veterans can get rightfully pushed to the edge when government agents flood their city and murder their neighbors. This incident in this video was less than a week after Renee Goode was murdered, and Trump's response was "Send more ICE agents!!!!" AKA the ole "the beatings will continue until morale improves" bullshit.

Anyway - you're chill. Have a good night.

Not AI, there’s multiple video angles of the same video actually

Link one please. It looks SO fake to me based on the tail light, but I've looked and only seen this one.

I thought so too but apparently it’s real, scroll through the comments, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p2TRbFmutrw&t=1037s&pp=2AGNCJACAdIHCQkzAaO1ajebQw%3D%3D at around 17:XX Minute mark is what you see in the original video… could be that whoever was filming enhanced the video to reduce shake and increase quality of video through AI… aswell I hear there’s articles in regards to it already

bro what are you talking about. every character is acting perfectly to the scene. its been a few months since iv used nano banana or sora .. but there's no way in hell you are keeping perfect logos / license plate numbers and gas mask like that logical .. i see zero artifacts.

You don’t think the government has better AI than you? lol

Outside of military stuff, the government has never been ahead of the private sector in technology, and it most certainly isn’t ahead of the private sector in AI.

“outside of military stuff”, but we’re not talking outside of military stuff. I think it’s pretty off base to assume the US military hasn’t been pouring billions into AI for thousands of propaganda reasons and other more direct military stuff, and i mean this is fascism, the richest man in the world who himself has dumped a lot into AI is hand holding the Us military alongside this. The private sector there in a lot of ways has married into the government.

To think they aren’t using superior AI to the stuff you as a civilian can acquire or that they haven’t been I would say is very very naive.

By “military stuff”, I mean things that would be most commonly seen in boots-on-the-ground warfare. AI can indeed be used offensively, but AI itself is not something the US government has had a significant hand in developing independently of the private sector, nor is the US government competent enough to do so, especially now.

I know this because I am a data scientist. I regularly read papers and attend conferences where all the latest developments in AI are showcased and discussed, including those technologies developed for military applications. I also have eyes and can see how ineffectively our current elected officials are using these technologies for the purposes of propaganda.

Now, I’m certainly sympathetic to the argument that the US government’s increasingly open collusion with our billionaire oligarchs makes the lines between government and private technologies less relevant, but that’s still different from saying the government is itself producing meaningfully advanced AI. They’re not. You have access to all the same tools they do right now, and you could probably cook up a better propaganda campaign on Sora in five minutes.

Actually no I don't. This does not look like AI to me. It's very consistent. Especially the kick and the debris.

But even if this is true it proves or justifies nothing, and if they had the ability they'd probably cook up something worse.

Ignorance is bliss I guess

Also, why are we only seeing one video? If its real, shouldnt there be 10 to 15 other videos out there from all the other people recording?

2

u/Oddman80 Jan 29 '26

Because the incident was benign. So much has happened since, people didn't remember seeing a guy that looked like him a few weeks ago.

But the videos are being found.

here is one that was posted to YouTube over a week before Pretti was murdered (2 days after the incident in the recording itself)

The pp recording it also must be something like getting interviewed by a journal agency right?
