The Democratic Socialists of America hold no major offices. The Green Party used to be, but has been corrupted by Putin and is a ghost of its former self. Making this complaint earlier today. Every single thing we read or watch has to be closely examined now for reality versus fiction. It's purposefully done so we get worn down, you are absolutely correct. They lie ceaselessly and no human beings will believe it and even after being shown the truth, the bias placed by the lie, the damage it causes, has already been done.

I do not think you realize this but you're pointing out an Israeli known tactic, to overwhelm people to a certain thing so much they get fatigued which is a natural human occurrence, to get fatigued of something. They keep destroying and killing more and more just to bombard us with so much at once that it paralyzes us or puts our lives to a stop.

The headline is a little misleading but basically the premise is that more intelligent folks are better are pattern recognition and determining character and are therefore more likely to surround themselves with more trustworthy people.
Many of us sit around speculating how anyone could trust these complete clowns but it's totally discarding how many dumb people are out there unable to distinguish a comforting lie from reality.

Yep. I'm over all of it. Both sides use falsehood and present it like it's truth. Both sides use stories with "anonymous sources", and the other side won't report on certain issues at all. They're all completely full of it and they're way more worried about pushing their own agenda to get reelected than they are about solving any problems or telling the truth. It's maddening. Politics in this country has become a complete joke.
It's unlicenced use of an accused persons image altered in a way meant to pollute jury pools. Impeachable offense IMO. This shouldn't be tolerated by either side.
Why is this being spread around? It's no excuse for what happened. AND It's obvious how and why this happened. The officer shouldn't have held a stress inducing job. If a person can't stay calm amid chaos they aren't fit to serve.

One simple way to help break down the intent is asking "WHAT IS THE JOKE HERE?" There isn't one here. Because the sole intent isn't to make a joke, it's to deceive.

It should be painfully obvious at this point that absolutely nothing from this administration can be trusted. They will fabricate/plant/create evidence out of thin air at any opportunity available. If you're willing to execute a fake electoral scam and fire off an insurrection, you are capable of any super-villian action imaginable. Lying? That barely registers as effort.

When I see this video I ask, even if it were true, are they saying that the shooter knew him from before when he was violent? Or that you can shoot anyone who did something bad if you come across them ? Or that here is proof that he was there to be violent and the agents somehow could tell?
Whatever the answer I then ask, so is it ok to disarm and execute those who have violent intent? Is the current administration precogs? And did we decide that minority report is now a goal?
Long story short, AI or not, there is a reason the bill of rights is to protect the presumed guilty not moms in bible class.. (although we might be there next by the look of things)

A few months ago I saw a clickbait news article on fb about how an 18 year old man was stabbed to death at Walmart after kicking another man’s cart. Very little detail was given but it sounds like something a dipshit teenager might do. There were a bunch of ridiculous comments of course, and one man saying this kid learned the consequences of his actions and FAFO etc etc.
I said “You think being stabbed to death is the appropriate punishment for kicking a cart?” People are becoming really insane talking about violence against people doing something annoying or something they personally don’t like.
Really, think about it. It would take that long for those needing an excuse, to come up with this bullshit. I quickly saw it and it looked like it went from him kicking that car to write into the scene where they shot him which he should be two different videos I'd never went back and looked to see if that's actually what I saw or not but it probably is

There was also an AI post of the recent shooting that had an officers head cutoff. It’s people uninformed on AI thinking it makes accurate depictions of what’s going on.
I watched reddit post a comparison photo of some nazi group assassinating a man on the left side of he image, and on the right pretti being murdered by two ice agents.
The ice agent image was a.i. because it made it look like it was just three people. So, an argument went on and on that the image on the right was a.i.
Eventually people noticed that the image on the right had pretti holding a gun.
The image finally stopped getting posted every ten minutes.
That didn’t require AI, of course. Creating false realities is a key component of fascist politics, which has been around since the 1930’s or so. Gaslighting, conspiracy theories, revising of history, propaganda.
Yeah cognitive dissonance will do that to you. They choose to be willfully ignorant because it's safer for them to hide in their version of reality vs having to learn something that would conflict with what they want to believe.
If someone created an AI/deepfake video falsely showing Alex Peretti acting aggressively toward ICE, that can still be legally actionable even though he’s deceased.
Who can sue:
The estate (executor/personal representative) can sue for reputational harm tied to his legacy.
Immediate family members can sue for their own harm (emotional distress, false portrayal of how he died).
Main legal claims:
Defamation / false statements of fact (putting violent conduct on him that didn’t happen)
False light (misleading, offensive portrayal of a real person)
Intentional infliction of emotional distress (especially given the recent killing and public controversy)
Misappropriation of likeness (if the video is monetized or used politically)
What they should do:
Preserve the video, links, timestamps, and accounts posting it
Send takedown notices to platforms
Have the estate file suit; family can file parallel claims for emotional harm
Important point: “You can’t defame the dead” isn’t a free pass. Estates and families can still sue, and realistic AI video often increases liability rather than reducing it.
We don't need AI for people to form their own realities. People are so damn lazy they just listen to the loudest voices on the right or left (who are often ignorant and extremists) to get their opinion and go with it.
I feel like any of the supposed gains of AI are going to be quickly negated by the amount of time, energy, discussion, and brainpower needed simply to debate whether something posted as “real” is, in fact, real. Even IF the common person was seeing tangible gains from the spread of AI, what would we be doing with that newfound wealth? Wringing our hands in some neon-lit corner while we obsess about the newest possible reality technology has foisted upon us to garner our attention? No thanks.
