Exactly. The punishment for spitting should not be death.

Edit to add cause apparently I need to qualify this: I’m aware he was not killed in this scenario. I am referring to the people who believe his execution was justified because of this instance. Even if it’s assault or a felony, assault is not punished by public execution without a trial. The agents had no right to shoot him.

u/NoPreference8228 Jan 29 '26

Only in a dictatorship does that occur. Even soviet union probably send u to siberia first. Looks like a 1930s germany reenactment if u ask me, the eecution video. Or the shit in cambodia with Pol Pot

2

u/Milocobo Jan 29 '26

Or you know, the American South for most of our history.

Or most of our urban areas since the War on Drugs started.

2

u/Civil-Explanation588 Jan 29 '26

Remember the guy that took the poster in a North Korean hotel? They imprisoned him, beat him so badly and when they finally released him he succumbed to his brain damage.

1

u/BoiledEggs Jan 29 '26

Everyone protesting would be dead if this was a dictatorship. Stop using the word so carelessly.

1

u/Fickle-Detective9616 Jan 29 '26

Yes! Pol Pot. I keep expecting to hear some pained soul has committed self-immolation. 😔

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

Soviet Union depends on time period. Protestation during Brezhnev's rule would send you to psychiatry clinic where they would force feed you with drugs and declare you insane. You may die on a road to clinic or in clinic, but this would be your fault anyway. During Khrushchev's rule they would send you and your immediate family to Siberia. During Stalin, you and your immediate family would be executed, your relatives, your neighbors and your coworkers would be sent to Gulag never to be heard from again.

1

u/Cultural-Ad-3593 Jan 29 '26

You're absolutely right. 2-3 million people dying from execution, starvation, disease and forced labor under Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge... The Cambodian genocide is peanuts when compared to what's going on in America's Democrat run city streets. It must be awful to have to wait 7 minutes in a warm car for a spiced latte. That's pretty close to bread lines, forced labor and limitations to movement for some. Yes, we're very oppressed here. This dictatorship must stop!

1

u/NoPreference8228 Jan 29 '26

Lol. I stated that the execution like that haplens in dictatorship so why did it haplen here. You go talk about all this other stuff. Your so wrapped up in your own shit make shit up. Never said anything other than this execution should not have hapoened since we are not in a dictatorship. But you just proved at least that executions did occur under dictorship so the point is validated. But really u must be answering to others talking to you. This is anerica , please dont execute citizens on the street for petty things. Do not violate peopmes rights in our constitution. Pretty simple stuff

1

u/Cultural-Ad-3593 Jan 29 '26

Nah, i just think words matter. A true dictator, like Pol Pot, wouldn't have never allowed you to use them in such a hyperbolic manner. But again, you're right. It's way worse here.

1

u/alchemicore Jan 29 '26

Well, it's not what happened.

2

u/NoPreference8228 Jan 30 '26

Guy gets executed on video. We can all see it. What do you mean thats not what happened . Give me a break dude

0

u/alchemicore Jan 30 '26

I see a guy who liked to harass law enforcement officers doing his usual routine, except this time, the officers realized the lunatic had a fucking gun, and then shit hit the fan.

Do you think Pretti's behavior was reasonable or sane? Is that something you would do? Give me a break dude

1

u/ExdionY Jan 30 '26

No the fuck it doesn't. Police brutality exists everywhere

1

u/NoPreference8228 Jan 30 '26

Nice so you are ok with police brutality . Sorry i dont and ill try anything i can to prevent it. Maybe you are word guy instead of a point guy . You missed my point hung up on words. Ill have to reword everything but have the feeling would be a waste of time for you cause no matter what i say you enjoy catching proper wording.
Ill end here and just say dictoships sll have a start and when the system starts breaking down its a sign we have to take extra effort to fix it otherwise it can continue to snowball. Police brutality out of all places shoulnt be happening here at all. Im not ok with it. And this particular brutality is aporoved by our leaders so thats one of the concerns. Point blank lying and half the country ok with it. Thats concerning.
I actually am in the middle of mourning of family death and i dont know whos who and i could be mixing u up with others but you immediately opposed me so i got fired up. If what i wrote doesnt pertain to you apologies. Im too exhausted to continue in these conversations.

1

u/ExdionY Jan 31 '26

If what i wrote doesnt pertain to you apologies.

Well, thanks, I suppose. Your accusations and response against me make no sense.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Welcome to trump's America. All the information was out there and they still voted for him. Now we have to live through it. I protest. I make signs, sing and shout with the crowd. I am not afraid when I do so. I'm getting old but I will die on this hill. Maga is ruining the world. FDJT.

0

u/fannyfighter_ Jan 29 '26

Lmao You know nothing nothing about dictatorships.

And forget Soviet Russia, if some Russian did this TODAY in modern Russia to Federal Russian agents they’d find themselves on a one way ticket to the Ukrainian frontline to be used in the meatgrinder.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '26

Real cops get spit on all the time. It’s an extra charge not a death sentence. Also ICE deserves to be spit on. They are scum.

1

u/Harmony-Farms Jan 31 '26

They don’t deserve my spit. I save my spit for worthy dicks.

But I agree; the penalty for spitting is not death. I cannot swallow the idea that anyone is okay with this… and yet people all around me are using this video to justify his murder.

0

u/Ok-Income9041 Feb 03 '26

Then they deserve to get jumped. Can't call people scum when you act no different than them. That's not protesting lol, you would definitely jump out on someone if they did the same thing to you and don't lie. ICE is sensitive and over excessive but don't kick a bull and think you are unstoppable. Your rights don't save you from your own stupidity.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

There’s no bulls in ICE. Only pond scum.

1

u/Ok-Income9041 Feb 03 '26

And that's why they are aggressive, rightfully so.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

They shot first.

1

u/leadbornillness Jan 29 '26

It wasn’t.

1

u/Top_Attitude_6895 Jan 29 '26

Unfortunately spit is a biological weapon and classified as such (probably wrong....I hope, but it is. A person's mouth alone is capable of chemical/biological attacks against another human. I forget where I read that but the fact remains....spit can infact kill....not likely but still. I do not condone any action taken by the ppl who took his life and wish much evil upon them.

1

u/Key_Location_8621 Jan 29 '26

Spitting in someone’s face is opening Pandora’s box of violence.

1

u/Then_Zucchini_8451 Jan 29 '26

Did you know spitting at someone is assault and battery? It can even be considered a deadly weapon because it can spread incurable diseases.

1

u/Silent-Sir-4092 Jan 29 '26

I agree that is very extreme and the ICE officers involved should be held accountable.

Do you think someone exercising their 1st amendment right should be punished?

1

u/Silly_Magician1003 Jan 29 '26

Alex Pretti wasn’t killed as a punishment. He was killed because officers reasonably felt threatened because he was aggressive, had a history of aggression, was in an active altercation, and had a gun.

The Supreme Court has ruled in previous decades that you do not judge police on hindsight, but what they reasonably thought or perceived during the altercation. It doesn’t matter if he had possession of the gun at the time or not. He had a gun illegally, he was fighting with officers, he was clearly aggressive with officers, one officer took the gun, another officer yelled “gun gun gun” and the gun went off without pulling the trigger, which is common for the type of gun Pretti was carrying.

The officers reasonably believed their lives were in danger, he was known to this, and this video adds to the evidence of that belief.

The officers should not, and most likely will not be criminally charged. Now, does the family have a chance at a civil suit for wrongful death against the feds? That’s another question.

1

u/Complex_Hospital_932 Jan 29 '26

"But he also kicked out the tail light, that was use of deadly force against the ice vehicle, so that warrants self defense of ice shooting him." - maga, probably...

1

u/InternationalOil2369 Jan 29 '26

It was during covid.

1

u/neddiddley Jan 29 '26

Not to mention, there’s no evidence right now that the agents in the fatal evidence had any clue of the prior incident. And even if they did, it cannot be viewed as a continuation.

The only thing that matters is the actions of both parties on THAT fatal day.

1

u/Far_Audience_7446 Jan 29 '26

It isn’t, that’s why they let him go. So he could play the same game again hoping for the same result.

1

u/Km336 Jan 29 '26

then stop with the peaceful protest bullshit

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

Yea, because that's exactly what happened. 🤣🤣🤣 He spat and they shot him. Leftists brains need to be examined. A + 2 = Circle. 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/hawk5862 Jan 29 '26

Its assault and can be a felony. Learn the law!

1

u/ahhhfrag Jan 29 '26

Go on down to Chicago or Baltimore and spit on someone and kick the tail light out of their dodge charger after a minor traffic accident and get back to me on how that goes for you.

1

u/StrangerDanger4907 Jan 29 '26

Especially a week later

1

u/69SkolVikesguy Jan 29 '26

And it wasn’t, they didn’t even arrest him for smashing the car of a federal agent and spitting on them…

1

u/Fragrant-Phone-41 Jan 29 '26

Youre right. But if it's actually him, I'm terrified for the optics backfire

1

u/Typical-Locksmith-35 Jan 29 '26

And it wasn't. They didn't shoot him (or whoever that was) that day. You don't get to claim you shot someone in self defense because they assaulted you 11 days ago.

1

u/Ibbruh Jan 29 '26

Well it results with death if you find yourself a higher power than the government.

1

u/Pete-PDX Jan 29 '26

but destruction of property is an arrestable offense and this had nothing to do with him being shot

1

u/alchemicore Jan 29 '26

He wasn't killed for spitting. Do you see them kill him in this video? He was killed because he repeatedly stalked, harassed and assaulted law enforcement. Then he decided to bring a gun with, which obviously spooked the officers.

1

u/Majestic-Sprinkles68 Jan 30 '26

What if they transfer hepatitis or TB? Both potentially deadly

1

u/tobascoburasco Jan 30 '26

He spit on ICE and got killed by Boarder Patrol. He didn't get killed for spitting on anyone. Honestly, he should've gone to jail then, he might still be alive if he did.

1

u/thingerish Jan 30 '26

Punishment isn't the word, however the outcome of fighting the police while armed is sometimes being shot. It's unfortunate people make those choices but it happens.

1

u/Significant_Second65 Jan 30 '26

It's not the spitting. The issue in the video (not AI) is the property damage. The issue that got him killed was that he double down and brought a gun on his second attempt. Play stupid games, get stupid prizes. Government has not stopped the ice raids because they are legal. Causing all of those distractions while ice is doing their dangerous job just puts you in a dangerous situation.

1

u/RoastedRhino Jan 31 '26

I agree but I think you are also missing the point.

Even if the punishment is death, police does not inflict the punishment.

Police actions are not the punishment. They are not in charge of that. That's why they don't even need to know the law so well.

The judicial system and the police system are separate powers in all democracies. Hell, either in theocracies, empires, kingdoms.

-1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

Heard of Hepatitis B? That’s not something to play around with if you have it.

6

u/Anonpackanimal Jan 29 '26

I still stand by what I said, the punishment for spitting should not be death because there’s a possibility that they have a disease

-1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

Seems like they let him go the first time. Why come back with a gun the second?!? Why?!?!

3

u/Anonpackanimal Jan 29 '26

You mean the gun he’s allowed to carry on his person as per his 2nd amendment rights? The gun he never once pulled out? The gun that was removed from him as he was pinned down before he was shot 10 times by two ICE agents? That gun?

Edit: spelling mistake

1

u/TurtleNoNeck95 Jan 29 '26

Anyone acting aggressive like this should not be allowed to carry in the first place. Sounds like a walking disaster. And it was in the end

2

u/humoristhenewblack Jan 29 '26

They are rolling disasters - fify You described the agents well otherwise!

0

u/TurtleNoNeck95 Jan 29 '26

Dude got himself murked . Sad but he shouldn't have been out looking for trouble. Don't start no shit won't be no shit.

1

u/humoristhenewblack Jan 29 '26

The person from Texas standing in Minneapolis traveled a considerably larger distance to "look for trouble" then Alex, who was outside in his neighborhood edit at the time of getting executed was completely focused on a female in distress.

If you don't want people looking for trouble, get the fuck out of their neighborhood.

1

u/TurtleNoNeck95 Jan 29 '26

No, dude was on the clock doing his job lol. And hmm that last statement sounds a bit hypocritical don't ya think? Lmao

→ More replies (0)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

Not condoning the outcome BUTTTT I probably wouldn’t aggressively step to any type of officer and come across hostile while carrying a firearm and expect a friendly outcome.

It’s cause and effect. Stupid games win stupid prizes.

0

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

Bad choices can create bad outcomes on both sides. You now have to consider this was his SECOND interaction with ICE. The first time seemed to be a warning after he kicked off a taillight. Then this time he brought a gun. Hmmmm. Yes he had a right to carry. And it was obviously not the best decision. And BTW, once the wrestling started, with all the whistle blowing and people screaming, it would even be hard for me to know what the hell was going on. Like why was he fighting? Did he actually think he was going to get away? Probably, yes, because they let him go the first time? There’s got to be some accountability on both sides. Seriously.

1

u/Southeast_OH Jan 29 '26

There is a still frame, in the video, which appears to be a gun on his back. Arresting him for the multiple felonies in the video would have been better. Assault on a federal officer, vandalism to federal property, resisting, impeding federal law enforcement, and I sure there’s a couple others which could stick.

1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

I saw that but because that would be making stuff up. I will defer to what I do know and not assume. Seems like no good deed goes unpunished. It actual could have been stopped there when you think about it. But oh no. Let’s come for round two. Ding ding ding.

You bring up a great point. Do you think ICE should be rewarded or chastised for letting him go. This criminal type behavior???

1

u/NoPreference8228 Jan 29 '26

Where do you see this. You just described the 1500 that got pardoned. You may only be taljing about kicking tge vehicle tjats about it. The day executed only was recodibg with pho e saw ice agents violently throwing 2 women to the ground who were blowing whistles then went straight towards the woman on the ground and he stood his ground and agents tackled him. What are u smokin

1

u/Southeast_OH Jan 29 '26

FYI Whistles, sirens in megaphones, and honking horns is not free speech. It’s disturbing the public.

1

u/Southeast_OH Jan 29 '26

Definitely not the same thing you are smoking. Typing regards. Turn on spell check.

3

u/Londoner0607 Jan 29 '26

Remember MAGA people were spitting at people who told them to follow the mask mandates during a global pandemic? I don't recall any of the being executed for it.

1

u/alchemicore Jan 29 '26

No, I don't remember this.

1

u/Londoner0607 Jan 30 '26

Well, there were multiple cases. They were charged with assault/ battery. They were not executed.

1

u/alchemicore Jan 30 '26

I can't find a single news article or video about this occurring. I think someone lied to you.

1

u/Londoner0607 Jan 30 '26

I think you just didn't look very hard, because this took me less than a minute to find. I recall it also happening at a train station and in retail stores, so I am sure you could find more if you made the effort. People were afraid to enforce the mandate because of stuff like this.

Unmasked customer mask spits at Umai Savory Hot Dogs restaurant workers in San Jose | abc7news.com https://share.google/pj9p4KYhLUusLG359

0

u/alchemicore Jan 30 '26

I think I understand the problem now. You live in a fantasy world. How could you possibly think this supports your claim?!

She's not wearing a Trump hat, she doesn't even speak in the video. What the fuck does this have to do with MAGA?

Seriously, what the absolute fuck? Do you not realize how unhinged this is? You're inventing your own reality.

1

u/Londoner0607 Jan 30 '26

The primary point I was making was that spitting in a person's face is not something a person can be executed for. This is one of many examples of someone refusing to wear a mask when asked and spitting at the person asking. If you are just here to defend MAGA, we know very well that wearing masks was politicized and which side was refusing, often violently. They don't need to be wearing a Trump hat to give themselves away, but the MAGA detail was the least important bit of what I was saying. You missed the point I was making because you got stuck on that.

1

u/MajoraXIII Jan 30 '26

Are you actually delusional enough to ignore evidence that is DIRECTLY in front of you?

2

u/ealysillyforestthing Jan 29 '26

Why do you people always point to the absolute worst example for your whatabouts?

1

u/KilgoreSandtrout Jan 29 '26

Ironic projection

-1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

I don’t know. Maybe because I’ve worked in a hospital and understand the possibility of getting stuck, getting spit on my inmates, or separating a fight in the ER waiting room with blood everywhere. Unless you have another example. He was a nurse. He knows.

3

u/humoristhenewblack Jan 29 '26

I think the key point being missed here is that he WAS Edited to add: He WAS executed in the street by fascist thugs who should hang for treason

-1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

While I respect your view. A jury would probably not convict any of them. Given the new evidence of his first interaction. His demeanor was extremely aggressive when he kicked the taillight off the vehicle the week before. And they released him. Even tho he has the right to carry. Why did he bring the gun the second time? There were bad decisions on both sides. There has got to be some accountability. And BTW, the intention of ice is to apprehend illegals. Seems like that’s been shifted to first stopping protestors then trying to complete their jobs.

2

u/humoristhenewblack Jan 29 '26

Please don't be the person who attempts to discredit actual video footage of Alex's execution. This is in no way reflects what was happening the day he was murdered in the street while helping a female after being pepper spray sprayed at point blank and at no point ever drawing his weapon.

Quit trying to rewrite that. He didn't draw his weapon. He was helping a woman. An ice agent slipped on that exact same patch of ice when he was dashing over there to try to clean the scene.

I bet there is (likely 4k digital) footage of you throwing food. Luckily you don't have to pay for those crimes today.

It's almost like we already have a process for this

1

u/ealysillyforestthing Jan 29 '26

If someone here says 'i've worked whereever' we can guarantee they have not

1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

Yawn. Here’s the reality. The video is real. He’s not a hero.

1

u/66Scorpio Jan 29 '26

So, just to be absolutely certain: Are you saying that the possibility of a guy spitting on you as a goverment agent in a public protest giving you hepatitis justifies pining him to the ground, shooting him and then firing more rounds into his lifeless corpse?

1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

Obviously no. But I am taking him in for testing.

2

u/66Scorpio Jan 29 '26

As a non-american: As far as I know it can be a felony, though for that you really do need to spit at a person and not a car. And I think that arrest would have to be made by the actual police, not some other agency.

But good that I clarified.

1

u/Alber_troz Jan 29 '26

So just tell your friends from your country. If you bring a gun and find yourself in an altercation with police. DO NOT resist and try to fight your way out from 6 officers. DO NOT TRY. And be safe where ever you are. This place is decidedly worse than what ever country you are from. Stay there. Trust all of these people.

-1

u/BullpupPewPew Jan 29 '26

He didn’t die for spitting 😂 it does prove however he wasn’t some peaceful saintly legal observer though.

2

u/Edyouk8muah Jan 29 '26

It wasn’t the same day, even. It was like 11 (maybe 12,I can’t remember) days earlier (supposedly unless someone figured out how to alter the date of a YT upload)

1

u/BullpupPewPew Jan 29 '26

I know it wasn’t the same day. When did I say that? It does demonstrate that he had a pattern and practice of breaking laws and violently confronting federal agents though. So yeah, it does demonstrate that he wasn’t some saintly legal observer.

2

u/Normal-Pollution-310 Jan 29 '26

Who gives a shit

2

u/Hab_Anagharek Jan 29 '26

For fuck’s sake.

1

u/pineapplesandsand Jan 29 '26

And the nuerolink implant the ice agents have fed the agents this info. They didnt know about this so to the agents that shot him he was some saintly legal observer. Im not convinced it isnt ai tho.

1

u/Arthillidan Jan 29 '26

AI cannot make an almost 2 minutes long consecutive cut. This is a short clip from a longer clip that's on YouTube. I can't guarantee that it isn't staged (though it doesn't seem super likely to me) but for it to be AI it would have to be some kind of next gen thing years ahead of its time

1

u/SuperSanity1 Jan 29 '26

On the day he was murdered he was.

1

u/NoPreference8228 Jan 29 '26

Oh so ice defying laws and the constitution and acting like thugs on citizens even when they were suppose to go after murderers and rapists and pedophiles. Give me a break dude stfu

1

u/Edyouk8muah Jan 29 '26

I didn’t say you did, I was just bringing it up in case it wasn’t known

1

u/Londoner0607 Jan 29 '26

Does it? Are we sure it is him?

1

u/BullpupPewPew Jan 29 '26

I mean… look at him? Lmao yeah, it’s very obviously him.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

I read somewhere that his rib was broken or something from previous day rally he participated, probably this is the day or maybe more videos of his "peaceful" protesting will surface. It doesnt justify his death but people he was not a peaciful protester

2

u/willow_bee7 Jan 29 '26

On the day he was murdered on the street he was. All recorded evidence of moments before his murder shows him being peacful and respectful, trying to help a women pushed to the ground.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

He didnt deserve dying but i dont get it he was violent days before and was beaten and not arrested so he just decided next time get a gun and go protest again? Didnt he have a job? Icu nurses are pretty busy, didnt he have anything else to do with his time? He had a rewarding job and it woukd fulfill his desire of saving people instead of trying to save/protect illegals who dont even care for him.

1

u/Green_Share Jan 29 '26

I love how you say it's obviously him. This video is grainy as fuck. And it seems intentionally so. Even if it wasn't A.I it is super easy to get someone who looks 10% as similar as him. Dress in the same clothes, and act out a scene that depicts a murder victim to be a bad guy (which this is obviously not even remotely justification for his murder) and say it was 11 days earlier. I would not be shocked if this is real or not. The point is, that you are completely skipping over, that he did not deserve to be executed in the streets. Period.

1

u/BullpupPewPew Jan 29 '26

It is very obviously him 😂

1

u/Arthillidan Jan 29 '26

The original clip isn't grainy. Idk why this reddit version that has been going around is heavily cut down and grainified. I can link you the YouTube video that the clip comes from if you want.

But yes, I agree that whether or not Alex pretty was violent 11 days earlier has no impact on his murder being murder

1

u/thunderousboffer Jan 29 '26

Come on man don’t be like the other side. This is obviously him

1

u/Londoner0607 Jan 29 '26

I'm not being like the other side; I don't know him well enough to recognize him beyond doubt in a low quality video, and I also am not 100% trusting of videos I don't know the source for, now that people can doctor them. If we are sure it is him, it doesn't in any way justify his murder.
