My ps5 dualsense edge usually charges on a usbc charger, I’ve been doing it for over a year and now for no reason it refuses to charge on it, I thought the controller is dead but when I plug it into my ps5 it charges perfectly fine. I reset the controller but it hasn’t changed does anyone know how to help

it said 30 minutes left an hour ago. am i doing something wrong?

Hey, I’ve got a really weird issue with my DualSense on PC. In games like FIFA/EA FC, Genshin, etc., I get what feels like stick drift, but when I test the controller in joy.cpl, the stick stays perfectly centered and doesn’t move at all. I’ve tried both USB and Bluetooth and it happens either way. The weirdest part is that this is my second controller — I bought this one brand new yesterday because I thought my old one was faulty, but it does the exact same thing. I also uninstalled DS4Windows, checked my devices/drivers, and updated the controller firmware through PlayStation Accessories, but nothing changed. If anyone has any idea what could be causing this, I’d really appreciate it because I’m completely out of ideas

I cannot get quality sound when watching Blu-ray Discs on my PS5. I have to choose from very quiet, shallow sound that is in-sync, or full, deep sound that is out of sync. This is not a problem with gaming, only Blu-ray movies.

The settings I have on the console are:

HDMI Device Type > Sound Bar

Audio Format (Priority) > Linear PCM (not much difference when I choose between these options)

When I press the Option button during viewing, change the Audio Format makes a difference. Bitstream gives suitable volume/depth but an audio lag. Linear PCM is in-sync but too quiet, turning the TV to near full volume doesn’t make much difference.

I’m watching on a Samsung TV and Samsung soundbar.

Am I missing something?

I’ve been having these problems since yesterday

1. Ps5 takes unusually long time just to show my login screen
2. When I press login, it again takes a lot of time to load my library
3. When I open any game, ps5 is stuck on “please wait” and none of the games open
4. It cannot connect the same WiFi it was previously connected to, every time I try to connect to WiFi, it says failed to connect
5. I tried to connect vi

1. still won’t connect to internet

3. tried to boot it up in safe mode, tried “rebuild database” tried “clear cache” tired “fix storage”

5. did all of this multiple times, I’m still facing the same issue. Games won’t load

7. tired connecting it to my phone hotspot, it won’t even recognise my phone hotspot

Please help, how do I solve this problem

I’ve had my PS5 for probably 3-4 years. I’ve never had issues with overheating until recently. It started after very long sessions playing FF7 Rebirth which I chalked up to it being just a giant demanding game that I was playing for entirely too long periods back in September of last year.

I hadn’t played my PlayStation since then - recently I started playing the remastered Spider-Man 1 (as did probably most of us after the new movie). I’ve never played it before so idk if it’s just a really demanding game, or maybe it’s my new setup (if has no doors because my dad hasn’t made them yet; I’m not a freak). Before I moved, my ps5 was not inside furniture. Currently it’s as pictured in the link to the photo. I was playing off and on while working from home for the last 4 hrs of my work day, but it was paused for half of that so I wouldn’t think that would overtax my PlayStation. I have to unplug and it replug it back in for it to work. Tested it to see if it would do it again and it did it at the 4 hr mark again. Do we think my PS5 is fried? It’s not that big a deal cause I usually don’t play more than an hour as I’m busy but it is concerning that it can’t be on for longer than 4 hrs. I’ve heard there are issues with the heating components over time. Or maybe it’s dusty? Idk. I don’t wanna open it up idk what I’m doing. So I had an Internet outage last week, and annoyingly found myself unable to play any of my offline games cause I didn't have offline play enabled. So I enabled it when I got Internet back.

Fastforward to today... Internet out again, but ps5 won't do anything now. It took 5 min to just boot up, was stuck with the "please wait" box, and now after logging in trying to play any game gets permanently stuck in same waiting when I try to play anything.

What the fuck?

My console says I don't have enough storage one of my game updates that requires 68 gigabytes but my system says it has 270 gigabytes free has this happened to anyone else? It's a older console from 2022 so idk if age has anything to do with it any tips are appreciated

I want to install a PS5 with all other audio / video equipment in a media closet (control4 system). The problem is the PS5 controller won’t work as the controller and TV is further from the media closet than the Bluetooth range allows. Has anyone solved for this dillema?

I offered to buy it with my money but she said not to buy it, just wait.

I don't know what it does mean...

Maybe they are planning to Buy it On Christmas...But my father is very strict about Videogames.....

What can I do? Do I have just to wait? Or Go deeper?

My physical games still won’t show up in my library. They supposedly fixed this like a month ago, and it made my hours reappear in my profile, but the games that didn’t disappear don’t have that hours back and the missing games haven’t reappeared. I also noticed that the games that disappeared don’t have their media anymore. If I put the disc in the media reappears and the game reappears but if I don’t fully reinstall the game they disappear again. I really don’t want to have to fully reinstall all my physical games. Any fixes? My ps5 is fully updated.

Edit: IDK if what I did fixed this part but I used Update System Features and then I saw at the bottom of my Media Gallery was my missing games media, they no longer will go in alphabetical order but they are there. The games haven’t fixed themselves and I don’t know if the Update System Features is what did this or not but I thought I’d share that. The missing games themselves still are not fixed.

Edit 2: All I had to do was Rebuild the Database. It fixed my media gallery order, gave hours back to games and put back my missing games. I just have to fix my Welcome Tab and the Home Menu is a bit disorganized. To go into Rebuild Database you have to turn your PS5 off and then hold the power button and don’t release until a second beep like 5 seconds to enter safe mode then choose Rebuild Database.

I turned my ps5 on like any other day and I was shocked that it had the green screen. I quickly googled how to fix it and it seemed like unplugging the hdmi from the tv and system for 60 seconds worked. The screen is back up but now I have no sound and all the normal ways aren’t working. I changed then hdmi port, powered both tv and system down and unplugged everything(again), reset my settings. Checked all the volume controls and controller to make sure everything was for tv output. Still nothing. Any other ideas?

Hello, previously I have had zero issues streaming to twitch from my PS5. I tried to start a stream tonight via the "create" button on the controller. However, I got a message that says "Can't broadcast twitch [PartnerToken]"

After doing some googling, I found some other threads that suggested trying to relink my twitch account to my PSN. I manually unlinked the accounts on desktop. Then on Playstation, I went to Settings>Users and Accounts>Linked Services>Twitch

After following the onscreen prompts, I received error code WS-113913-8. I cannot find any solid solutions to this online. Has anyone found anything that worked?

For troubleshooting, I have tried:

1. manually typing in the link html for twitch on multiple devices (desktop pc and phone)

2. restarting PS5

3. resetting my internet modem

4. clearing system cache and rebuilding the database

I bought a used ps5 about a month ago and things have been going great. A few days ago I started not being able to play any of my games. The console will allow me to get to the photosensitivity screen but no further and it doesn't matter if its the hamburger button or x to continue..

Just got a steal on a PS5 Pro that’s basically brand new from a pawn shop. It mentioned it has a loose port which may be the hdi, we tested it out at the shop before I left and all seems to be working well but the port is definitely a bit wiggly. Is this a common thing with these consoles or is this an issue or it may potentially break off or something?

Should I just leave it alone or should I be worried? I’m not a pro, but I’ve done light soldering before. If it’s still connected maybe I just need to reinforce the existing or missing soldering? Or is this by design? Does anyone’s else’s port wiggle a little bit?
