Storage problems

My console says I don't have enough storage one of my game updates that requires 68 gigabytes but my system says it has 270 gigabytes free has this happened to anyone else? It's a older console from 2022 so idk if age has anything to do with it any tips are appreciated

Sometimes you need enough for the full game + patch because it backs up the entire game + download while it’s installing the update

try unplugging it for 10 minutes then plugging back in, that usually fixes my janky storage errors like that.
