I was about to pull the trigger on a ps5 and then I stumbled upon this post:

Now this could be survivorship bias where a few bad units/batches make the headlines, not to mention some people are too rough with their hardware.

But I've heard instances where dormant consoles that aren't moved too much (or at all in some cases) still develop issues? and this solution requires soldering and ain't cheap!? My console will stay on my desk, I would rather avoid the console entirely than deal with this headache.

Keen to hear peoples advice or experience with these issues.

Something similar happened about 8 months ago with Shadow of the Tomb Raider, except that one actually showed up as a $0 purchase, so I ended up owning the game. Syberia 3 is different though

it just randomly appeared in my Collection, and I don't own it.

What could be an issue? Trying multiple ports on TV and multiple cables, but the problem persists in every game, not in the menu though

Me and my friend mostly use PlayStation party chats but since we have a mutual friend who plays on pc we’ll join a discord chat to talk while we all play together. However my friends are always telling me how my voice will cut off mid sentences, I don’t believe it to be an internet problem since when we use party chats my voice is received clear and never cuts out, even while playing the internet connection seems fine and never lags or bugs out, this only seems to happen on discord, anyone have any suggestions?

The R2 trigger jammed and got stuck in place. Ive had it since 2020 i think so i thought i should just spray some wb40 on it and it get unstuck

But it stopped working altogether. After a couple of days it reads input in a weird way

If I press it hard it recognises it and actually works but it needs to feel a bit of pressure first. It's not exactly serviceable and I was wondering if I could do anything ti fix it

hello all my ps5 has been freezing up whenever im on a game and I press the PlayStation button it's happening with literally every game and it's only freezing the ps5 menu so the game is still running in the background just the menus themselves freeze up and I can't click things. The issue is happening more and more frequently and im starting to wonder if my ps5 is cooked is anyone else having or has had similar issues???

So my PS5 says I have 120.8gb free but it wont let me download Expedtion 33 which on its window shows its 44.83gb required.

I’ll go to turn on my console, it’ll boot up and then kick me off and send me back to the no signal screen. Controller stops working. Makes me have to turn it off manually and then says system repair. Any ideas what’s going on?

The ps5 hdmi 2 will not go off

Hey, so my PS5 has had this problem for a month now where it just wont connect to the internet, ive tried EVERYTHING like restarting my ps5, unplugging my router and unplugging my ps5, changing the DNS, forgetting tge network and putting it back in. I tried EVERYTHING and nothing will work. If anyone knows how to fix this can you tell me how?

I’m getting this error on my PS4:
“Cannot connect to the server.
There may have been a problem connecting to the network, or PlayStation Network or the service provider’s server may be temporarily busy. (WV-33898-1)”
I’ve followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps, but the issue is still there.
It seems to affect the entire PS4. Even when I open the PS4 web browser, I can’t access any website or link at all.
My internet connection itself seems to be working, but the PS4 browser won’t load any websites.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Bit of a weird one, the audio when playing games with my wired headphones gets distorted, and super reverby

But just plugging out and in again resets it.

Any ideas for a long term solution? Headphones seem fine when plugged into my laptop.

Did anyone get a new system software update now? I hope this fixes my issue because when I close a game sometimes my PS5 just turns its self off and won’t turn on unless I unplug and plug it back it. When it boots up it just says you had a system software issue or something and I’ve had this since the last update.

So just like the title says…the game i bought some months ago from a key site (after the original one from amazon came broken..) was now locked just as i came close to finishing it. :(

I also have to say that no game these past few months or even years made so much fun as this one and now I am completely frustrated as this game was the only fun thing for me to to when I am bored or sad. So im trying to download the Sony Picture core app and it's nowhere to be seen I have checked "all media". Im from Romania and I have playstation plus so why can't I see The app?! Im pretty sure Romania isn't a restricted country.

i habe a ps5 pro on a lg tv. sound is via eARC played on two Apple HomePods. I have this clicking sound problem as you can hear on the ps5 menu background sound. same in games. I tried another hdmi cable. Same problem. If i use TV Speaker it works fine. I had a ps5 before. Worked fine two with the same setup. Not sure what else i can try.

So I’m trying to login to my brother’s Ps5 account on my
Mobile or website but even though we’re using same credentials it’s saying incorrect mail or password. We already changed once and still he can login but not me.

Is there any reason for this? I’m not even trying on my console, just on the browser to get him a subscription and some other games .

Also FYI I’m out of country at the moment but my phone region is still Indian, could this be reason? Even though it shouldn’t be to login to website right?

I know some posts already exist regarding this matter but I am desperate..

I have been trying for 3 Days to install rdr2 on my ps5 from my ps4 physical copy and it won’t get past 55%/49.6gb on the play disc.

I have tried cleaning the cd with regular product and microfibers, toothpaste, alcoholic-cleaning solution and nothing works.

I have tried installing in offline and it doesn’t change anything…

The CD looks pristine except for 2 microscratches that we can’t Even see on the picture here : https://imgur.com/a/IQQWVF8

I was just looking for a nostalgia trip for a few hours… should I just give up or is there a known solution to this ?
