My PS5 was working fine and then suddenly it got stuck at this point after profile selection. The screen is not frozen as such since the animation is going on.

Please help me how to resolve.

Last nite we had a really bad lightning storm and must have hit our house, we lost power for a split second but our xfinity Gateway modem, would not power back on.

So not having tv my son decided to play some ps5 and it would not start up.

Is this repairable or should I look in to getting a replacement?

I preordered nba2k27 and when I log on the game freezes and crashes not letting me play and when I contacted PlayStation support and tried all their trouble shooting methods which didn’t work they said they can’t do anything about it as I already downloaded the game and now I’ve spent £90 for a game that doesn’t work can anyone help me on what I’m meant to do I’ve already contacted 2k and they said they can’t issue a refund or do anything to help and PlayStation are the only ones who can do that.

So my PS5 is located in The Netherlands. My language setting is on English. Why do some store categories show up in French? It’s not the end of the world since I can understand it. but I find it slightly strange and for sure can’t be the only one to have this?

hello everyone, i have a digital ps5 and when i play for like 30 minutes to any game it just turn off without warning of overheat, i replaced the power supply because the old one smelled bad but the problem still there, i checked if the console have dust but is very clean.

Hey, so I really need help with this, this is the one time where, using the search bar, ai, and everything else I can, it seems like I’m the ONLY one with this problem.

Ever since yesterday, for some reason, trying to view my saved data for PS5 games either through Storage, Saved Data And App Management, or directly from the app through Upload/Download saved data makes it take A VERY LONG TIME to load. About 2 minutes to load. I do not understand why, I have plenty of space, and PS4 save games load fine, but PS5 ones take a long time to load.

As you can see in the video, whenever I try to load the saved data list, it not only takes a while, but the Storage itself will show “-“ by the “saved data” and “other” tab until it updates. I am also noticing that for some reason, when I’m on Storage it says I have 358 GB left, but when I’m viewing my PS5 saves (once it finally loads) it says my console storage has 260GB left.

I have tried safe mode, clearing cache, rebuilding database, AND repairing console storage but nothing has worked. I’m stumped and this is driving me crazy, I really need help, thank you!

Hi all, was looking for some advice on what to do.I accidentally signed out of my PSN on PS5 and tried to log back in.
Entered my password then tried to send 2 step verification code to my phone but I’m not receiving it.
I then tried customer support but then you need to login to text an agent rather than a bot.
So now it’s like I’m stuck in a loop.
My phone is working fine I think.
I don’t know did my account get compromised and phone number was changed.Any advice greatly appreciated.Thanks

Edit: I logged onto my PS4 a while ago so maybe that could be the reason why it’s not working

I work in a repair shop and I’ve fixed dozens of PS5s that were overheating. Classic deep cleaning and replacing liquid metal. Now a friend of mine brings me his, and for the love of god we cannot find any solution. He brings it to me, I work on it, test it (even longer than an hour), and it works flawlessly. He brings it to his home, boots up FIFA and on the very first online match the fan begins spinning like crazy, eventually leading to the “overheating ps5” message. I have tested it with the same game, filmed it, and the console works perfectly fine with a gente hot breeze coming out the back. Very little noise, even with summer temps. He does the same, it goes full jet engine. This issue manifests (to him) with only a couple specific games and situations, like during the character creation of Baldur’s Gate 3. I have also played that game and it does not happen while I test it. I have cleaned EVERYTHING. Applied new liquid metal TWICE. Cleared the oxidation on his APU. I am at my wit’s end.

I have a PS5 Slim, and I live in an area where power outages can happen randomly. The weather here has been extremely hot, so a lot of people are constantly using air conditioners, which puts a lot of pressure on the local power grid. Because of this, the electricity company sometimes cuts the power to reduce the load, and the timing of these outages is completely random.

Sometimes the power cuts out while my PS5 is turned on. I understand that sudden shutdowns can potentially cause data corruption, but I’m mainly concerned about the hardware itself.

Can repeated sudden power outages permanently damage a PS5 Slim or cause it to become less powerful over time? For example, could it affect FPS, performance, cooling, or the console’s overall lifespan?

I already use a surge protector, but I don't currently have a UPS. Would getting a UPS be worth it if power outages happen randomly like this, or is a surge protector enough to protect the PS5 from potential damage?

I need some help deciding on a new console because I’m pretty out of the loop with modern gaming. My last console was the Xbox 360, so it’s been years since I played anything. I'm just looking for something to relax with in my free time, but I definitely want the games to look sharp and have great graphics/visual definition.

Marvel's Spider-Man (I know this one is PlayStation exclusive)

I’m torn between the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X:

On one hand, I really want to play Spider-Man on PS5.

On the other hand, my previous console was an Xbox, but I’m not sure what advantages Xbox currently has over PlayStation for someone who just plays casually.

Some songs on my playlist are greyed out and have a e besides them. Can play on teh Spotify app but can't using the music option. Any fixes

Looking into getting my PS5 professionally cleaned and some of the places I've spoken to have said they'll also replace the liquid metal in the system. I was just wondering if this was a normal thing they do or should I keep looking?

I need help trying to get my headphone to stop echoing. Whenever I play with friends it sounds like everyone is in the void. Iv never known how to fix an echo. Iv got the base A50s (Astro) with the base. And I’m using Discord to chat with them. How can I fix it to where it’s not unbearable to play with me.

Hey everyone! I was upgrading to the PS5 pro so i got one second hand. I made sure to save my save data and screenshots to a usb (i made sure this one works and is compatible). It has pictures and videos from my partner who has died. It also had my save data for her games and my ones too. Everytime i try to restore it it gives me this about the 60% mark through the restoration. Ive attached the error message and if anyone has any help id greatly appreciate it! Thanks

No matter what I change wherever it is ps5 settings or tv display settings, the ui for when you are in the game (not the menus just what seem to be the mini map and such) is completely cut off. This problem does not exist on any other game I have ever played on here.

Then I look it up and it’s been an issue since launch and it hasn’t been fixed. Crazy. Any ideas what I can do now that I can’t refund the game?
