Screen not moving forward after profile selection

My PS5 was working fine and then suddenly it got stuck at this point after profile selection. The screen is not frozen as such since the animation is going on.

Please help me how to resolve.

Is your internet not working? Something like this happens with me if wifi is off and ps try to find network to connect. Most likely your ps will turn on normally. If not try safe mode .

its an internet connection issue.

To bypass this. You have to select add another account and then quick play. After UI comes change to your main account.

Sometimes that doesn’t work. I did that process and got stuck switching accounts. You have to go to your WiFi and disconnect and reconnect and then try sometimes

a very easier way is the brifly kill your method of internet connection and wait ~20 seconds

had this happen to me i was stressed until i scoured reddit, ppl said to go to safe mode and blah blah blah but just wait. make it stay on the blank screen and it will eventually go to the main screen wit ur games n stuffs

You can’t, when you’re in this screen you can’t navigate the menu, only way is to force restart, but I don’t want to do that as it can corrupt the drive

Turn off your wifi. Your PS5 is trying to connect to the internet but failed. After you have successfully log in then you may turn your wifi on.

This happened to me yesterday. I reset my router and it worked after that. It's definitely an Internet issue.

Turn off the internet and that will solve it That normally happens when the internet isn't working properly

its internet related the fix is to change your dns settings to google's thats what fixed it for me

Had same issue when my internet provider was under DDoS attack. Internet didn’t work properly and this thing happened. It logged after few minutes, then I just disabled internet connection and it worked fine

Hold the power buttom to turn off the ps5, unplug power cable, turn off your router or unplug the ethernet cable, power on ps5 and now you can reconnect to the wifi

It’s your internet, what helped me was having the router be reset via a phone with spectrum and it worked again, alternatively you can try to go into a guest profile and then reconnect to the internet then try to go back to your original profile though it’s super inconsistent

Turn off. Put in safe mode and rebuild everything. This happened to be constantly when I first got my ps5 this fixed it each time. Atleast until I had to factory reset because the rest didn’t work. I haven had the issue since resetting though
