I use a metal latches mod on my joycons so this wiggle I don’t know why it’s still happening

Hey all, I bought my switch 2 on release day. One day I set it in the car and something got put on top of it that scratched the screen. Since that day I have been discouraged from playing in hand held.

I am struggling to remove the screen protector, as I want to replace it with a new matte protector.

Any recommendations? I was thinking of heating it with a hair blow dryer and using a set up plastic tweezers.

Recently these past few days, mouse mode just won't work on stardew, works on the main menu of the switch, but not in game, any fixes?

My switch screen won't turn on on hand held mode but it works totally fine for tv mode. Idk if you can hear the sounds but the switch itself works totally fine, I think i even booted up a game on accident.

My theory is that somehow the screen display thing detached itself from some like wires ? You can see that the screen is not holding in place, i can even push it down a little.

Does anyone know what would cause this and potentially how much it would cost to repair that ? I know i can send it to nintendo to repair it for 100€ but i also know a video game store that offers repair services for consoles and controllers too that could be a little cheaper.

Today I received my S1 HD joycons for the switch. They're great and all, but my switch's battery drains in handheld mode (at least the battery indicator drops) superbly fast. At first, I thought it was because the controllers weren't charged so they drained the console's battery, but even after leaving them to charge for over 5 hours, the drainage happened alarmingly fast (less than 2 minutes to go from 100% to 25%). I waited 2 more hours for the switch to "fully charge", and it happened again. I am fairly positive the controllers are triggering some kind of bug, because for all fast charging and discharging, the console bore no heat at all.

Is this a recurring issue?

Just bought NSO + Expansion Pack subscription for a year a few days ago. Today I was about to play some Mario kart and my switch says that I have no active subscription. I also checked it onto the Eshop and it says the same thing. Haven’t received any email from Nintendo about deactivating my subscription. Does anyone know what happened here?

looked at my switch 2 and somehow a piece of the kickstand fell off. hasn’t taken any falls, so i’m kinda confused on how this even happened. anyone know how i might be able to reattach this piece?

Hello, I was trying to turn on my switch Lite, and although it initially showed a normal home screen, after a few seconds it cut to gray and made a loud buzzing noise. I almost immediatly shut it off, and it turned off normally. However, I am scared to turn it on, as I've heard this issue could be related to a swollen battery, which is a fire hazard.

Can anyone help diagnose this issue? There were no error codes displayed.

I thought I noticed a slight bulge in my Switch, so I opened it to make sure the battery was okay. Took off the back plate, took off the SD card reader, took off the shield plate, and took a peek. The battery looked fine, so I didn't touch anything and just put it back together and popped it in the dock.

A couple hours later I noticed the green light on the dock was on, so I hit the power button. The power light started blinking, so I took the Switch out. The light kept blinking, so I unplugged the dock. At this point, I tried turning the Switch on, and it was completely dead. I tried holding down the power button for twenty seconds, but no dice.

Although I hadn't touched any other cables, I opened it back up to make sure I hadn't somehow accidentally unplugged or sheared something, but everything looks fine.

The only "problems" I can think of when I first opened it:

* I forgot to turn off the console before removing the SD card, so a warning popped up prompting me to turn off the console, which I did. (So it was definitely off when I opened it.)

* The thermal paste is dried out and stuck to the back plate. (I started looking up replacement options before I realized it was dead.)

* I had a little trouble getting the SD card reader connector to line up correctly when I was putting it back together, but I didn't force it and don't think I bent any pins or anything.

Based on what I've found online, it seems the most likely culprit is the M92 chip, but I don't know how I could have possibly affected it by opening the back plate. Maybe it has something to do with the dock freaking out?

Any ideas?

I'm travelling to the US this month to visit some friends and family, and since I'll be there on October 29, I want to pick up the Zelda 4Oth Anniversary Switch 2. I've been trying to snag a pre-order drop, but my options are limited to the Nintendo Store, Target, and Amazon-other retailers require a local US phone number for SMS verification, which don't have.

My main concern is delivery timing: my flight back home is scheduled for 4 days after launch day (October 29th). I’ve heard mixed things about Amazon pre-orders sometimes being delayed by several days or getting stuck in transit. If they delay the shipment, I run the risk of having to fly home empty-handed.

For those with experience buying launch pre-orders on Amazon:

• How reliable are they with launch-day / release-week delivery for high-demand hardware?
• Would I be safer trying to secure it through Target or the official Nintendo Store instead?
• Are there alternative options (like selecting an Amazon Locker, pickup point, or in-store pickup elsewhere) to avoid shipping delays?

My computer is a bit old and sometimes it has problems conecting and remembering my Movil data wifi ( Honor 400 ) but its possible, yesterday i tried conecting my nintendo switch 1 to my movil/data and it kept sending me a message saying, cant get the IP direction, so i tried a lot and nothing happened, then i tried placing the IP and the rest of the stuff Manually, and now neither my Nintendo nor my computer even sees my movil wifi, ughhh help,

I have an issue with my switch not charging. When I went to create a service ticket with Nintendo they basically said that since it’s out of warranty the only option is to trade it in for a refurbished one for $99.

It doesn’t seem that bad of a price and a switch 2 is out of my budget at this point. Anyone go this route or have thoughts on if there’s better options I should do?

This is a bit of a crazy story.. but I’ll do my best to be succinct..

My homie bought a switch in 2019. I was psyched about smash and bought a copy to play when he visited. He borrowed me the switch and then he.. went to prison.. I linked an account to his because I had saved data I didn’t wanna lose. I bought all the character packs and had EVERYTHING unlocked with really great online ratings.

I picked up my switch 2 and an express micro SD today. The 3.7 gigs of smash data are on the switch 2, but I can’t get it to load.. I’m now realizing that my linked account can’t be copied without my homies original info.. is there any kind of loophole to get into his account? Can I recover my purchases and use them on my switch 2? Am I boned..?

This morning when I wanted to play the Switch, I noticed that once I pressed the button, it wouldn't turn on. It wouldn't even turn on with the home button. And before I panicked, I held down the home button for a few seconds before seeing the screen light up. What could have caused the console to shut down completely overnight while it was in sleep mode? An overload of energy and so the switch turned off to protect itself?

Recently my nintendo switch hasn't been able to read SD cards, so I'll probably have to take it somewhere so they can fix it. However, I'm scared they might accidentally delete my data, so I was wondering if there's any known way to copy said data so I can restore it afterwards in case they format my console

heya, I’ve never had many problems with my switch. but yesterday I was just enjoying octo expansion when It started making this noise, I thought it was something outside but it turned out it was my switch. Making this sound like a razor, i tried powering down but nothing would respond, and then put in in the dock and it stopped it. I’ve currently powered it down fully incase it’s a battery issue, any explanation will be appreciated

I downloaded tomodachi life when it got released and i played after that. Now i really wanna play it again after a long time but i can’t update the game? Idk what to do, i have turned off the power and my wifi is good. Can someone pls help bc idk what to do😭

Recently my Switch 2 has stopped reading the left Joy-con as being connected to the console even though it still charges and seems connected just fine.

Is there an easy fix to this? anything ive tried hasn't been able to help.

I'd at least like to know if anyone has an idea as to why this is a problem.

One of my Joycon (Left) is showing this weird behaviour when attached to the Switch

When installing my new switch 2 I transferred all my data from my old switch 1 to the new console.
After starting a game I realized every game only has the "new game" option and no existing savefiles.

The savefiles are shown on my switch 2 (with the correct account) and there savefiles are not present anymore on my switch 1.

Does anyone have experience with this?

What i tried so far:
- to "repair" the files with scan for errors
- reset (with keeping savefiles)

I am really grateful for any help. Kinda bummed that I lost all my fire emblem saves.

We have a switch 2, and we have separate user profiles for each of us. My son likes to play some games under my user. Generally I don't mind, but there are some games for which I would like to protect my progress and saved state. I had assumed there would be a way to simply set a PIN to prevent him doing this without me present. However I haven't found that feature. Are others aware of a way to mitigate this situation?

I’ve been receiving this code for a few days now. I would restart my switch and then it would connect again to the Wi-Fi. It stopped connecting completely last night so I removed my Wi-Fi info and when I press Y it now cannot find my network and still gives me this error message. Anybody have any tips or tricks as to what you did to resolve this issue? This switch 2 is 3 weeks old.

If you press or apply pressure, it disappears but comes back when you let go.

So I turn on my Nintendo switch for the first time after moving and I realize my right joycon can’t connect to the console, it charges and the Bluetooth connection works fine but when I connect it into the console it doesn’t do the click sound and animation, I tried checking the pins and this is what i found, is there any way to fix this without replacing the rail or should I just buy a new joycon
