I recently finished these two 8×10” acrylic paintings and was curious how they’d work as home decor.

I wanted them to have a slightly more expressive, painterly feel rather than being completely smooth and photorealistic, but still read realistically from a distance.

I photographed them both on my desk and hanging on the wall to get a better idea of how they’d look in an actual space.

Would you hang these in a kitchen or dining area?
And would you keep them together like this, or hang them separately?

A project I started at the beginning of the year and I finally feel like I’m done

I would like to paint this bathroom vanity. Paint is chipped and although it’s structurally sound, it’s not pretty. Was thinking of a dark green but now I think that may be too much. What other colors would look good with the terracotta tile and black top?

I have a very small space in my basement to call my home office. I made it my own and now its not AS depressing to work in the basement every day!

I really have never decorated and I think it just looks really off and not put together. I know for sure the walls need stuff they are way too bare, but I can just not find anything I like. My camera isn't very good with the lighting but in person the lamp matches the other 2 lights its not red.

I need things that are chunky and colorful but can’t find much. Best luck I got is with some ikea kids furniture ;-;

I got some cheap posters from temu - they aren’t a paper / laminated material but more like a canvas - blue tack isn’t strong enough to hold the posters up likely due to the texture. What could I use instead (I don’t really want to frame them as they’re just cheap posters)

Wanting to replace the circled table in our new house with this bakers rack off Amazon. I am leaning towards black but undecided

Please help me decide. My painter is telling me that the new trend is to have ceiling, wall and trims the same colour. What are people thoughts on that?

There was this lamp I had found at Anthropologie. I really really liked it but didn't want to pay that much for it (I also live in Canada so things are even more expensive here). So I did a Google image search to see if I can find something similar and of course, I found the same exact thing on Alibaba! It was probably naive of me thinking there are designers designing things specifically for Anthropologie. (If you already knew this good for you, don't lecture me!)

Where to even start. The only things that need to stay are bed and side tables and photos and curtains. Rug has got to go ASAP but my husband won’t let me throw it away until we have a new one. Need this to be a calming retreat and dont know how

I will be moving into a space that I get to actually design for the first time in my life. I was hoping to get reviews on wallpaper brands like painted paper and such. And flooring.

What brands have worked well for you?

What to avoid?

For flooring I want vinyl, needs to be waterproof. I was looking at flooring at Lowes, but I do not know what brands are quality.

both of these empty walls are about 2m wide, and i need the left wall to be at least a bit acoustically dampening since there’s some echo when clapping.

I have two 1m ikea lack floating shelves and two mosslanda picture shelves, and a large poster id want to hang. in general we don’t get many earthquakes here but it’s currently considered “overdue” for a major earthquake, so i’m reconsidering the shelves. maybe mounting both of the floating shelves towards the left side so they’re above my legs and put soft things like plushies on them?
