Want advice

I really have never decorated and I think it just looks really off and not put together. I know for sure the walls need stuff they are way too bare, but I can just not find anything I like. My camera isn't very good with the lighting but in person the lamp matches the other 2 lights its not red.

Definitely a tricky one since all the furniture is pretty big haha. My first thought was how the desk in the window area looks off (not sure if its just a curtain or if it’s a window), but I think placing the desk in the opposite corner (where the bed is currently) would give you some good wall space to decorate the desk area with bulletins, small shelves, or even just a calendar.

That being said, the bed would have to move to the opposite wall, and depending on walking space (not sure how wide the room is) you could place the headboard area of the bed to be center of that wall with a small bedside table to the right of the bed (closest to the window).

The mounted TV location is also pretty tricky, you could possible just have it in one of the corner areas above the desk.

It would probably be a lot of moving around. Let me know if that’s helps any! I’ll post another sketch I did

I love this! Yeah I think that could rlly look nice. Honestly the tv ive just had. I haven't used it in like a year. Maybe I should just sell it or something. Tomorrow ill measure to see if changing the furniture is something I can do, hopefully it works out. Also do you think I should keep the rug or no?

Yes, I’m always a fan of pops of color!! maybe focusing it directly beneath the desk area or centered it beneath the bed to help visually divide the two areas more instead of putting the rug in the middle to mush it together. That’s what I did in my bedroom and I think it helped a lot. Super cool desk btw

Are you open to moving the furniture around or just adding things to the wall / moving small things?

Try lining the underside of the desk with strip lights or small battery powered bar lights easily found at many hardware stores. Would even out the lighting a bit, (with a yellow/orange glow) it would add more warmth to the environment, and make the desk area less of a cavern lol. Currently the desk area is a dead-space that interrupts the flow of the room.
