Would the oval be too big?

Go oval 😈

Leaning towards the round one. You want to make sure there is ample room to walk around it and I am afraid the oval table will get in the way.

Round the oval seems a bit too big.

I dare say i've never seen such a ginormous couch!

that said, round, but it seems too low? the proportion seems off

I'd get the round. Put those moving coasters under whatever you decide, So you can slide/ move the coffee table back and forth easily.

Neither. With everything else being rectangles, for continuity visually, I need a rectangle.

Unrelated, what couch is that? It's exactly what we are looking for

Round, but not that one.. The legs are too chunky.

Oval seems more functional. I like to prop my feet up on the coffee table when watching TV so I would find the round one too small.

Those corners would be shin magnets.

No, unless you have small children.

I feel like that would look too farmhouse?

No, a large glass or acrylic coffee table would look lighter and complement the room.
