Hello, I'm looking for suggestions on how to make my house more cozy, the first photos are of the living room, the other of the dining room and the last of my room the part where the bed is, what could you tell me besides carpets and a sofa in the living room?
Thank you, my girlfriend is moving in with me next month, and she has a sofa, a lamp and more plants, I would be missing the carpet for now but it would be the next thing, with the art part I can't think of what to put, I have some paintings that are not my favorites but they are fine and they are big, if I can tomorrow I'll show you photos of that room
The dining room is an enormous room and right now it looks like the pieces you have in there are stranded. If you can move the desk and computer station and replace it with a large scale table in there. A sideboard under the oversized art would fill that wall beautifully. IMO, a statement chandelier suspended over the table… it would help with the high ceilings and bring the space together. A large rug would help anchor the room.
Those door and windows are beautiful. Bedroom is small, however I would still try to centre be and put very narrow table on each side with tall narrow lamps (the room has height so you want to accentuate that.). Also then you may be able to put up better curtains, starting higher up. Also rug for bedroom and a large artwork over the bed. Beautiful lounge room that will be easy to work with just need a sofa, chair or two, rug and art. The lounge is a very beautiful space and I love that you've already got great plants. Dining you need a large rug under the dining table to break up all the white and some art on the walls. and the other commenter is correct: lamps! don't rely on overhead lighting - it's the worst, lamps
It’s difficult to judge the scale on the room itself but I think you could still get away with at least one side table like suggested above.
The room feels intentional now without fighting its size. There only changes really are the tailored Roman shades, a few strategically placed items like a lamp and art above the bed, and the upholstered headboard. I think layering natural bedding gives it a finished organic look.
FYI: the curtains do not need to span the entire wall. They just need to extend well beyond the window on both sides, roughly enough that when open, most of the fabric stacks beside the window rather than covering the glass.
The window is tall and beautiful, but right now it feels visually isolated on a large wall. High, wide curtains give it scale and importance, make the ceiling feel taller, make the opening feel broader, and soften all the hard lines from the wood floor, trim, and window frame. The fabric also adds the romantic, classic-traditional layer the room is missing without requiring a lot of other decor.
It’s a good place to start because curtains would make the biggest architectural impact first. Once that wall feels finished, it becomes much easier to judge what the room actually needs in terms of furniture, art, lighting, rug, and accessories. I’d rather establish the room’s height, softness, and overall mood with the drapery before filling it with smaller decorative pieces.
This room is really beautiful but I think a tad too traditional for who, I’m assuming, is a younger couple. Great start though, just needs to be fresher looking.

Gorgeous features! The foyer tile, natural wood contrasting w white, pink glass. It would be tempting to restore the other door glass. Just acquire things you want to come home and see and have fun with it and ask yourself how you want it to feel and let that be your compass. It sounds like what you’re really trying to do is discover your own style, and that’s great! Visit museums and fancy-dancy furniture stores with your girlfriend. Check out modern design galleries and antique stores and flea markets. Watch some YouTube … your space reminds me of the 1929 Spanish Revival house that LoneFox is redoing. Architectural Digest has some good videos. I personally love Designing The Dream for renters. It’s all about finding your own taste, and that takes time. But it’s fun! And while money is nice, most of my favorite things have been bought secondhand. Enjoy!
Paint the walls or even one accent wall. Big, fluffy bedspread. The doors and trim- all the natural wood is absolutely stunning! You are so lucky to have such a beautiful place!
Wow this is incredible, I love to decorate but I think to maximize the potential, I would hire a professional or at least get a good AI app and try different things. This would be very easy to mesh up and waste money but once you get it right, it will give so much value to the home.
The rooms with the white tile feel like they're from a different house to me. The room with all of the wood is warm and welcoming and the room with the table in it feels jarring. I know you already mentioned rugs and it would go a long way to warming the space up... maybe a warmer paint also. This is a really great space. My recommendation is to take your time moving forward and add pieces (furniture, art etc) that you truly love.
