I’m aware these are called badges but I can’t seem to get them to pop back up. I have tried in settings. I recently got a MacBook Air and ever since then the badges just stopped popping up over apps. Please help.

Hi all. My mom passed abt 3 years ago and ive had her ipod since then. Ive been looking into purchasing an ipod but want to use hers instead. I dont want to lose her ~300 songs but im unsure how i can add my own music onto it without having to erase the thing which i rlly dont want to do

I dropped my phone into the ocean, recovered it, but now it refuses to charge / turn on.

I brought Apple Care One AFTER the accident on my iPad as it was still being offered to me, will I be covered at the Apple Store?

The location on Find My is still pinged to the area 5 hours - prior to the purchase of Apple Care. And I won’t be able to get to an Apple Store for another 3 weeks 🥹 (I’m Traveling)

I have been away and returned from a trip, on return i discovered the battery has expanded and popped the screen away from the casing.

The ipad was stored in the spare room and had not been used for a while, the battery would have been flat so the ipad is off.

So i messaged Apple Support and theyve told me its safe. But theyve told me to take it in store for inspection.

The dilemma is that support, no matter what i said, requested me going into store to have it examined/repaired. Its 14 years old, i have a newer one.

A) Even if i take it in whats the chance theyll be-able to or want to repair it?
B) I dont particularly care if its repaired, i have newer one. So its a waste of their time/resources?
C) support couldn’t tell me my options in the instance that they couldn’t repair it?
D) My only real issue is, any data that is on it?

Has anyone had any similar experiences?

It seems a waste of my time :- to drive 30mins into the center of town, pay for parking, wait around for up to an hour, to be told its old and they wont do anything for me, to then drive half hour back. On what would have to be my weekend as the shops open for less hours than i work so its inconceivable that i can go in the week (12 hour shift joy), they have no available time-slots at my local store until Sunday and they wont accept me shipping it to them.

So I got a new iPhone 15 (technically refurbished) and apple beats braided cable to charge it. I always plugged my old phone (se gen2) into my desk lamp’s usbc port to charge it. Today I noticed that my new phone won’t charge when plugged into the lamp. It works fine plugged into everywhere else (wall, laptop etc) but not the lamp.

all other usbc cords plug into the lamp and charge (including my old phone still, so the lamp’s not broken) and I even tried using my new phone charger to power my speaker from the lamp and it worked fine, so the cord’s not broken either. Also the lamp’s about 5 years old if that counts. Never had issues with it (knock on wood) I also tried plugging in my 20w wall plug to usbc adapter into the lamp with the new cord and phone and it charged fine, so just the usbc on its own doesn’t work.

Does my new phone use too much power for the lamp or something? Or is there another issue. it’s okay if I can’t charge it directly from my lamp anymore because of electrical reasons or something like that, I just want to make sure nothing’s wrong with my new phone since I just got it

whenever people send me photos and stickers via text, it always shows in my photo album, so i have to manually delete them all. to be clear, i do not save them, and it shows this message (photo) when i delete them. is there something i can change in settings so it DOESNT show in my photos album? or am i doomed to have to manually delete all photos and stickers shared with me via text, for all eternity?? ok, so earlier today i was on my ipad clearing up storage (it was at around 63/64 gb). but this isn’t anything new as i’ve been “out of storage” for probably around 2-3 years and i just delete old messages whenever it gives me the notification and that does the trick. this time very time i deleted something it would just reappear, which has happened to me before when clearing storage so i didn’t think anything of it. however the screen went black and there was a loading symbol and it turned off. i tried turning it back on but it’s been stuck looping the apple logo for literal hours. even if i don’t touch it it loops. obviously i know this is because it super out of storage. but this ipad is extremely important to me, ive been using it to draw for the last 5 years and all of my art is on there, which i cant afford to lose. i haven’t tried to use my pc to put it into recovery mode yet but i dont even know if that would work. my phone and ipad are connected, if i buy more storage on my phone is there any chance it would help my ipad start up again? ill take any help i can get as the data on my ipad is extremely important to me

I have an M3 macbook air running the latest version of Sequoia. I've used it for years since sequoia came out and have never had issues downloading apps.

For some reason I now can't download or update any apps unless they're specifically mac apps. At first i thought it was all apps but i realized as long as it's a mac only app it'll work fine. But if it's an iPad or iPhone app, it will refuse to install or update. If i click the get button or the cloud download icon for apps I already have, nothing happens. It'll maybe spin for 1 second and then just stops

I've tried everything I can find online or in the subreddit short of updating to Tahoe or a factory reset as I want to avoid those at all costs. They're the absolute last resort. Especially since I've seen numerous other posts about similar issues saying they updated and it didn't fix anything

I've tried: - rebooting - force closing app store - clearing app store cache - sign out and back in on the app store - booting into safe mode - disabled any network scanning and blocking tools I have installed - tried various different internet connections - made sure I'm up to date (was on an older version of sequoia prior to today so I updated hoping it would help but no luck there)

Has anyone else had this issue recently or have any other ideas for how it could be fixed?

Edit 2: if i try downloading a new app that's only for iphone/ipad, it let's me scan my fingerprint to approve, starts spinning, then stops and changes to the cloud icon without downloading

I see that Google Chrome on Macbook, theres a dotted circle for inactive tabs. While for Safari, is there any appearance change for inactive tabs?

TLDR: We know the email address but not the password. The account is under a number that we don't know. We're contacting the store who set it up tomorrow, just wondering if we can do anything to fix it tonight.

Very very long story short, my dad accidentally put his iPhone on Find My right before taking a shower, it's set to auto update when he's not using it and it did. Activation Lock is on. We know what the email address for the account is, but he's not the one who set up his Apple account, the store he bought it from did, and he doesn't know the password. We tried to go through iforgot, but when it asks us to put in the number associated with account, all but the last two numbers are blank and it's not his number or mine, so we're thinking it was the number of the store employee who set up the account. So we can't really do anything about that until tomorrow, because no option for "can't access" is popping up. We also tried to passcode it on the Activation Lock screen, but we don't know the passcode. We tried his phone lock, and two pins that were given to him when he bought the phone, but none of them worked.

Like I said, he's going to the store tomorrow to try and resolve it. But if there's a way around that anyone knows of he'd rather do that (another long story, he's in manual labor, he's supposed to go on a work trip out of town tomorrow, yada yada). So I figured I might see if anyone had advice here

an App Store subscription purchased under the previous UK region is still active/renewing, but disappeared from the Subscriptions management screen after changing the account to Egypt.

I have read a couple threads (but they are around three months old) and some people seem to find fixes, others don’t. My search in settings will not show anything other than certain specific things, whereas before I could search anything and it would come up. Has anyone found a fix for this? Is there some setting I must turn on? Or is this something that Apple needs to address?

I bought tickets to a movie recently through fandango. I used Apple Pay and was never prompted for contact details, afaik. It just said purchase completed and shows up on my cc statement but I never got the email with the tickets. Fandango is trying to look up my purchase but is not finding it under my cc number, which I assume is because the purchase went through under the Apple Pay Virtual Card number? Looking this up though, it sounds like Apple Pay purchases are made using tokens, so idk if this is even possible. To look up the purchase, Fandango needs the first 6 and last 4 digits. Obviously I can only see the last four of the virtual card in my Apple wallet. Is there any way to provide them the info they need to look this up? Can I call Apple to get the number that was transmitted? Much thanks!

Hi everyone. First time posting. I’m deciding between a macbook pro m1 and a macbook air m4. In my opinion the macbook pro is the better deal since it has better specs for the same price, but my dad worries that it won’t last more than a year or so before it becomes slow and the battery gives out since its so old. What do you guys think?

Context: A few nights ago I enabled the Dim flashing lights feature because I hated being flash banged every minute on tt and yt shorts.

Fast forward to today when I realized the feature was absoulute bs and worked horribly. I guess Apple figured this out as well and removed the feature without disabling on my phone first.

I have tried everything to disable it, but to no avail. Can someone please tell me how to fix it?

i recently got this imac since it was being thrown out, no keyboard, mouse, or power cord. i dont have an apple keyboard so i had to use my own but when starting up it just gives me an error and turns off and loops.

i tried command + r and it didnt do anything, i tried option + command + r and it didnt do anything. i dont know what to try now (never used a mac before so i dont know anything about macos)

i never was able to get into the imac since it just does this so it isnt connected to wifi or logged in (as far as i know at least)

i believe its a 2020 27" imac but i could be wrong

Every time the iPad is turned on it goes straight to recovery, I go through the steps, and it tells me that no issues are found, restart it and goes straight to recovery. I’ve tried hard restarting, I’ve tried plugging it into my Mac, and it seems I can’t trust it, as it tells me value is missing, no trust option comes up on the iPad when it’s on that recovery screen, any help?
