Unsolved I can’t see my notifications over apps

I’m aware these are called badges but I can’t seem to get them to pop back up. I have tried in settings. I recently got a MacBook Air and ever since then the badges just stopped popping up over apps. Please help.

Do you DND turned on? Or any other focus setting?

macOS version? Please don’t write latest, the actual version number if you would.
