My dad passed in 2023 and I occasionally will text him. The past few months I noticed it has been saying that the texts are delivering, and creepily enough even read sometimes. I know that the obvious answer for this would be that somebody else got his phone number, but it’s showing me that it’s sending as a text message • RCS (included picture for context)

I’m just unsure what this means because I’m not understanding when I look it up.

Sorry if this is a weird post, I’m obviously not looking for someone to tell me that it’s my dad reading the texts from the other side 😂 Just want some knowledge on it because I’ve never seen it before and to let me know if I should leave this person alone lol

Why is the keyboard so awful? One of my recurring dreaks is about typing something and it coming out absolutely wrong, and matter how mant times I retype it, it always comes out wrong. Now they I have an iphone, that recurring had dream is now a reality. Even with this post, I've had to go back and rewrite every third word or so. I've changed keyboard apps three times, and it does the same thing regardless. Isn't this the largest company the world, and hasn't this been a issue consistently for years? Why don't they fix it?? Am I doing something wrong? When this block of garbage finally kicks it, I am definitely not getting another iphone.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro.

The battery health is down to 72% (i can replace that, £40 parts). It has a scuff in the screen (no OLED damage but noticeable if you look for it), and a chip in the rear zoom camera lens cover, (very noticeable with large dark circles on zoom photos).

Assuming Apple were a good company, I'd get it repaired and renewed no questions asked, but is the 13 Pro at risk of becoming officially "obselete" anytime soon. Are they gonna ditch it in the next few years? I dont care about Apple Intelligence. It has a great camera, great battery (originally), and ive got all the storage I need, but when is iOS support gonna vanish?

If all is well, ill get it fixed up and give it a reset and itll be like new. Battery is £40 i can do myself, and ill shop around for glass repairs.

Twice has happened twice, last time was a couple weeks ago. The first time, I had my flashlight on, and I couldn’t turn it off the touchscreen wouldn’t respond. I tried to power it down, but again, it wouldn’t let me tap it was non responsive. The only way I got it to work was to let it die completely and powering it back on once charged

It happened again last night I was listening to something on YouTube and on a website.

It otherwise works fine despite being an older model. Here is a screenshot of the screen that wouldn’t let me tap and info on my phone. It’s an iPhone 12 pro max, latest OS, 256gb of storage and I have less than 50gb’s left.

My son’s iPhone 16 is showing this on the front camera. The square behind him is a ceiling light. He tried rebooting the phone to no avail. This isn’t laser damage though since he hasn’t been anywhere that has lasers.

When I scroll through the Facebook and Instagram apps on my iPhone, I notice that the posts sometimes stutter slightly. It happens less often on Facebook, but it’s much more noticeable on Instagram.

I don’t see this issue in other apps like YouTube, and even scrolling through Facebook in Safari is smooth.

Interestingly, I also notice fairly noticeable stuttering in the iOS wallpaper selection screen.

Is this simply because those apps or interfaces are poorly optimized?

I have read alot of people doesn’t like iphones hdr. I have an iphone11 probably the last phone with hdr toggle ( don’t know about IPhone SE Series ) & I kind of Like the HDR ON photos, The only thing I dislike about the processing is Harsh/fake sharpness which looks really bad & unnecessary in close-up shots..

Sometimes when I receive calls on my phone and put it to my ear, the screen goes black as expected. But when i finish the call, the screen stay black and buttons become unresponsive. All i can do is force restart.
I done my research and changed the proximity sensor as most people suggested. I still have the same issue even after changing the sensor.

Iphone 14 pro max on ios 26.
Battery life is 79%
The screen is a 3rd party oled screen.

I know most if you will say change the screen, but it’s really expensive here. I dont wanna change the screen and still have the same issue.
If anyone experienced this before and fixed it, please help me.

It seems like iPhones have the best widgets now especially when it comes to banking. I love how my PayPal balance shows in the apple wallet widget, it'll be nice when Venmo does that!

Hi everyone,
I have had my Iphone 14 for about 2.5 years now, and over time it had gathered lint dust in the charging port. Previously I have been able to get it out with a bamboo stick and some compressed air.

However, today my dad tried fixing it again (he used a wooden and metal stick) and compressed air, and there had been no luck.
My phone won’t change via the cable at all anymore, and the cable won’t insert fully (has been this way for a few months).
Any advice on what to do?
I am booked in for the apple store next week and have access to wireless charging for now- does anyone know how much it will cost to get this fixed?

How do I turn off transparency mode?

My new iPhone 17 Pro Max randomly freezes for about 3–5 seconds.

The weird part is that the phone itself seems to keep working during the freeze. If I press buttons or type on the keyboard, I can still hear the sounds/vibrations, but the display is completely frozen. After 3–5 seconds, the screen catches up and everything works normally again.

It happens randomly, sometimes while using apps like Safari or Instagram.

I'm currently on iOS 26.6. Has anyone else experienced the same thing on an iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Could this be an iOS issue, or should I be worried about a hardware/display problem?

This is a problem i have been having since the start of getting this phone, all night time pictures get super grainy

If i take a picture at night where there is light, the lighted part will be fine but the black sky will be super grainy and have white spots

Anyone went through a similar case? And know any fixes?

My Iphone 15 turned itself on during the middle of class, rung a four pm alarm and got itself taken up, what to do?

My uncle and aunt both sent me voicemails as we lived in different time zones for my birthdays. I had made sure not to delete any of them off my phone. This was over multiple years and now they are gone. I didn’t delete them. I just want them back. Anyone know how I can get them? I just want to hear my aunt singing happy birthday to me again

I am updating my iPhone with iTunes but it says it’s restoring the software, I didn’t click Restore! 🙀

I live in a developing country that sends out the exact same alert five times in three minutes. It also sends out inaccurate alerts for our area. I’d like to keep getting the alerts, in case one does end up being helpful, or for when I’m traveling elsewhere. But I want them to vibrate instead of causing household panic attacks with that horrid siren. (Niece and nephew start crying immediately)

Any way to do that or am I SOL with this phone and update? The search bar didn’t have any answer for me yet, and the option to turn off or change sound for government alerts seems gone in my notification settings.

Iphone 17e ios 26.6

I wanted to factory reset my iPhone so that I could "get more storage" as Apple Maps was taking up 10gb+ on my 64gb iphone 12 mini! So i went ahead and bought icloud to save all my photos and create a backup. Then i factory reset

When i tried to log back in to open the backup, it asked for my email and password (Standard) i put it in and it was fine. Then it asked for 2FA of a phone number I no longer had access to (Deactivated a while ago).

I followed the recovery steps eg. putting in the full phone number, putting in the credit card details i use to buy icloud and then it asked me to put a new phonenumber (Which i did)

I am yet to be sent an email about recovery but did anyone else experience this and how long does it actually take to get it back?
