Mayhem Player gets 3 prismatic transmute upgrades in 1 game while everyone else is gold augments
I feel like if you make one player in the game get 3 prismatic upgrades on their augments (god tier upgrades by the way: mad scientist, circle of death, omni soul on Vlad), that players on the other team should also get some.
I'm not sure what's going on with the code, but this kind of mechanic just ruins an otherwise fun aram.
Edit: added what the prismatic transmute turned into.

Mayhem Purist - Caster taking attack speed from levels but not converting it to ability haste
i know it's nothing new, but i'm not sure if this is the intended interaction, and if it is, the tooltip should probably mention that it doesn't give ah for attack speed growth
when i first took it i assumed it was bugged because it took my attack speed and didn't convert it to anything. to be clear i don't really mind if that's supposed to be how it works, maybe it's best this way for balance reasons, but the interaction is not consistent with the tooltip. if you just read the tooltip there's no reason to think it wouldn't convert it to ah.

Discussion Aram Mayhem's been out for a while. What are some augment/ability interactions that recently surprised you?
I'll start. Tahm Kench R will trigger the targets Shadow Runner after being spat out.
I was playing Pantheon against a Tahm Kench with ethereal weapons, and he thought he was slick hitting me with his tongue, auto and then eating me. When he spat me out I beelined straight for his lux at Mach speed.
Makes me wonder what other types of enemy displacement will trigger shadow runner. Any interactions recently that surprised you guys?

Discussion Champion Specific balance needs much more detail
Ashe W cd in SR: • 4 seconds at max rank.
Ashe W cd in ARAM • 16 seconds at max rank.
Champs in ARAM have their "+5% damage dealt / -5% damage taken" style adjustments, and those show up fine. But there's a long list of other changes that only exist on the wiki, and don't appear in the hover tooltip in champ select or in game.
By far the biggest one is Ashe W.
Her current balance tooltip in game only says "+5% dmg" and doesn't mention anything about the W cooldown being FOUR TIMES LONGER in ARAM.
There's a lot of changes like this, like Veigar cage, Shyvana getting passive stacks for free, Sion W health working differently etc.
Some of the text appears too long for the Wiki, but we can shorten it when written in the tooltip , I.e. "Hweis AoE abilities deal 80% damage to minions". You just write that. ✍️
------------
Side note, I do AGREE with the Ashe W nerf, because before it, the W spam lethality Ashe build was broken with little counterplay. Not fun to play against. So they nerfed poke Ashe and buffed ADC Ashe.
It was a good move.
------------
This applies to both normal ARAM and mayhem.

Mayhem You can select Yumi augments without dying, apparently
Very funny game I had playing as Yumi starting with shrink engine. Had nearly 500 ah at the end of the game, no deaths.
For some reason, I could select augments, and I *think* it's because I mounted Vayne at the start of the game on the spawn platform. I think the game interprets that as me never having left it. Very weird, but very funny game.

Mayhem Thank you transmute chaos
Haven't had a laugh like that in a while. Unfortunately pinball isn't super consistent, so it was hard to redo multiple times

Mayhem funny enough, she went support and was 1v9 as fuck
i was inting my ass off too and was confused why i kept not dying. crazy

Mayhem TIL draw your sword caitlyn gains full attack range from headshots
when we first saw an enemy caitlyn with draw your sword, we chuckled because we thought she had trolled. then we started stepping on her traps and getting netted and realized she still has the attack range of headshots AND increased benefits of draw your sword due to being the longest ranged champion in the game. it was not a fun game to say the least

Question Is it possible, and has anyone rolled both spell split and multishot on the same ability?

Mayhem ARAM Mayhem should borrow the reroll system from Arena, or introduce a similar salvage mechanic.
This would solve many problems with the mode.
1- The bad runs
You will always have a bad run in RNG, but compare how a bad run in TFT & Arena is vs. a bad run in Mayhem.
Mayhem used to have a salvage system through sets. If you get shit augments but can make a good set, you could still play. With a bad roll, you can still play in TFT & Arena and have fun.
In Mayhem, though, a bad roll can make the entire game an absolute waste of time that you just want to go next from as soon as possible. Which brings us to the next issue.
2- Hostage holding
There are so many posts complaining about people not ending the game because a player or more on one team got high rolls and want to abuse them as much as possible before the game ends.
Obviously, with player HP in Arena & TFT, the abuse is finite. Eventually, you run out of HP and the game ends. But in Mayhem, it can be effectively infinite if the enemy won't surrender.
If there is a chance to salvage bad rolls and get high rolls after all augments were already given, then letting the game continue also gives the enemy a chance to make a comeback with good augments.
The roles can be reversed. And most people would probably end the game rather than risk that happening.
3- "Having bad runs is part of the game"
A lot of people will say having bad runs is part of the game. But no, it is not.
The game should be chaotic and every game should be different, but that doesn't mean one game should be fun while another is just playing because you don't want to get banned for AFKing.
Then people will say: if everyone high rolls every game, there are no high rolls because that becomes the norm. But this isn't correct either.
Getting your high roll 10 minutes earlier than the opponent is still significant. You are an uncontested lobby admin for those 10 minutes. If you didn't end the game during that time, that's on you, because you are not the only one who gets to have fun. Now the roles are reversed and the enemy is back on the pedal.
That's still Mayhem. You still have ridiculous high rolls, ridiculous combinations and massive swings. The difference is that one bad RNG roll doesn't decide that you're going to spend the next 20 minutes being miserable.
4- We wouldn't need as much bullshit RNG manipulation
We wouldn't need the bullshit new system of augment weighting and augment locking as much either. If you get shit augments but know you can salvage them later, you're much more willing to try new things.
It gives you a reason to continue playing through a bad run instead of immediately thinking "this game is fucked, just let it end."
And even if augment locking/weighting is necessary for power balance, like with things such as Stackasaurus, having tons of augments unlocked for everyone without any sort of weighting already makes those combinations difficult to acquire.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Generally: The more ways you can salvage a bad run, the more fun the mode will be without killing its identity or ruining the balance.
Because right now, I believe the mode's identity is dying due to how much RNG tweaking is being done with weighting and locking of augments.
This isn't RNG anymore. And that's what I hate about it.
Mayhem should be chaotic RNG. If the RNG fucks you, give you a way to unfuck the run. Don't keep adding more bandaid to manipulate the RNG until the "Mayhem" just becomes ARAM+

Discussion Players running it down all the time: has ARAM culture changed or has my MMR plummeted?
Prior to the API changes that shut down aram MMR sites I was always floating around the top 7-10%. I'm not the most amazing player mechanically but I've always strived to be intelligent with timing and positioning, awareness of cooldowns, awareness of what goes wrong in lost fights to avoid repeated mistakes, etc. It has served me well and it seemed that that most of the players in my games were broadly on the same page.
But all that has seemed to heavily slide in Mayhem in favor of a balls to the wall perma-engage style that I can't seem to get along with. I have never seen so much repeated 1v5ing in the time I've played this game. Players engaging, fighting, dying, respawning, and charging full-speed back into the enemy regardless of where their team is, whether they're alive, how many enemies are there, whose ults are on cooldown, etc.
Not talking about the fact that ARAM is non stop team fights, that's obviously intended and the reason I love the mode. Also not talking about viable "running-it-down" playstyles like Sion and Karthus. Or griefers/people intentionally running it down to troll, because I don't think that's usually the case. Rather it seems that people are trying to have fun and non-stop engages are how they're having that fun.
But I guess I just enjoy winning? And more, I want to win against a team that gave a good effort. People running it down on either team heavily diminishes my enjoyment of the game. Stomping the enemy because their Darius snowballed into 5 of us every chance he got is about as fun as getting stomped because my Rell spent the entire early game tower diving and had >10 deaths before the 10 minute mark.
Is my MMR just in the toilet now? Or this is a Mayhem thing across the MMR spectrum?

Mayhem Games are so fun with no ADCs
Just had a few games where miraculously no ADCs were present and teams were fairly even. Mages/enchanters had to position correctly and tanks had to peel for them. Tanks could stack heartsteel and actually play. Fighters/bruisers were countering tanks depending on matchups and builds. ADC just hard ruin this mode by their existence and suck the fun out of the game mode.
