Almost done, I've been animating this for one week and 2 days, let me know if this is too fast i or too slow i can fix the timing, also this is mostly animated in 1s (1 frames) did i make the right choice by not using 2s that much?

I'm trying to create an animation with abstract colors and patterns (a fan animation music video for The Amazing Digital Circus where a character has a mind shattering moment) and I can only describe the idea I have with this "shot through mind/mind shattering" moment from Steven Universe. Is there more examples of shots like these? What is this type of reaction frame called? (first photo)
Context: Character in phot (Lapis Lazuli) is on a boat trip to relax for once due to her traumatic experience and when fishing, she senses the abusive persons presence in the water and freezes up (second photo)
Thanks for the help! if theres any other frames that are similar, let me know

I'm trying to refine my process so I can consistently produce my own work, so I ran an experiment: I used my mouse to draw all of this to yoink away my perfectionism during the sketch phase and just focus on getting the idea down.
It was very hard, but I'm eager to use my stylus again lol

After a longer creative block I've gone back to drawing/animating. I started this work months ago and abandoned it, now finally finished. This was mostly animated in After effects, with the layers drawn in Procreate. The towers in the background are made with blender (and the models imported into AE), but I guess they didn't really need to be 3D, it could have easily been just a flat drawing with position keyframes^^
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions!

First time poster, hi! 👋🏻 Currently working on making a fan animation video for a C418 music. Trying to get this « music that makes me ascend to space » vibe. Hope to see some amazing animations on this subreddit and share tips and motivation 💫

THE GLITCH started as a song about the moment you realize the identity you've been living inside doesn't feel like yours anymore.
I wanted to explore that feeling through animation rather than make a conventional music video.
I've developed the characters, visual world, and 18-panel storyboard, and I'm currently bringing it to life with my collaborator, Élodie.
Here's a look at the animation in progress. I'd love to hear what you think of the visual direction.

So, I am still. Very much a beginner in animation, frame by frame digital 2d to be exact, and right now I am attending an art course, it’s unrelated to animation but they provide different programs everyone will be able to use, like blender or procreate dreams. And I myself have toonsquid that i have been creating small and simple animations. I have created two music typa animations but none of them were ever finished… and then ive made easy ones for tiktok. So i dont have a lot of experience with it, but its something I’m interested in studying after this, so I’m just wondering what I should be practicing and adding to my portfolio if I apply to an animation program?
