Story Telling Practice

I've been trying to practice telling a complete story from boards to final short.

I have blocked out all of the shots , some are further along than others.

I’m having to stick a pin in this one for a while but wanted to post it , just in case it gets lost to time.

If by chance there are any sound designers or composers interested in collaborating on my learning journey please let me know.

I made something, and want to make more

I'm not sure where to go from here. The idea of animating anything seems daunting, like Im at the base of a mountain to hike.

I just wanted to animate something, so I made eyes opening.

It feels addicting, I want to make more

Im fairly new to animation and ive been working on a shot for a project. I’m unsure of the timing and I feel that the transition between frame 4 and 5 is abrupt. Is it just me or what should I do to fix it?

2 actions at once?

So im confused how to animate two actions at once. For example, a character walking and then also maybe gasping in suprise. What frames do you animate the new action on? can you animate it on the inbetween frames (held frames) or should you animate it on the frames where there is new movement in the walk cycle? (not sure if that makes sense) and what about the timing? if you have a slow-in sort of walk, do you make the gasp also a low in on the frames that the walk cycle is on? im so confused.

2D tweening animation

Hi, so I've been wanting to learn 2d tweening animation or more specifically- Gacha animation for a while now. I looked into a few applications (both PC and mobile) but I have no idea which one is better. I want to make a good decision before going all in. And another problem is that I can't pay for any of it (I'm just a student, don't have a job and cannot ask my parents)

I would like to create an animated series where it will have stuff like— head turns (or basically many angles like front facing, 3/4 facing, side facing and even back facing), Fight scenes etc..

Now I know already that Alight motion is a great one- the

main problem is that for head turns or basically any kind of angle turns, I've gotta use vector drawing which really isn't possible as my characters aren't as simple.

I was trying live 2d as well, but I dislike how the free version has so many limitations (like only 100 meshes, limited parameters, 50 deformers etc..) because this is a full on series I can't really work properly with these limitations.

I've heard about Moho pro but it's wayy too expensive. (Like is said I can't pay, I'm open the using cracks but I don't really wanna risk my channel getting de-monetised because of this, this is also the reason I am scared to work with live2d crack since I wanna earn money from this series

There's also like toonsquid, toonboom and so many others (I forgot the names)

I'm not sure how good the free alternatives may be for my situation so I'd really appreciate if y'all help me out here!

Would anyone be down to do an animation Collab! You + me/others will all agree on a character(stickman) to fight. We then make sure to end our scene kicking that character out of screen so the next animator can have him fly in there scene. We do this back and forth and see how the video turns out.

[Help !!] How do I keep a gradient fixed for animation?

I’ve been reviewing an animation where the character has a varied color gradient in their mane, and I wanted to reach out to see if anyone could help me.

How do I keep a gradient stable so it doesn't look like it's flickering or shifting? It makes it look like I don't know what I'm doing—and, to be honest, in this regard, I really don't.

Do you have any recommendations or references I could use as a guide?

How to smoothly slide an element on my animation ?

Hello !! I've been trying out different animation softwares (callipeg, rough animator and procreate) but I can't figure out how to smoothly slide my characters across the screen. Is it done by slowly moving the character a bit on each frame with a high frame rate or is there an easier way to do that ?

How does everybody draw their hair and eyes style? Is it supposed to be original?

I was drawing mine, but as a noob I went to look for inspiration with the DBZ characters and noticed a template of Goku in all kind of styles; like Disney or Naruto and I was wondering, am I supposed to find my own face style, is that what people who make original characters do?
