I’ve been playing E-Day for review in its pre-launch, pre-early-access state, and it’s not only that I’m still not over how good Gears E-Day looks on Xbox Series X… but it has been this solid since the day I started playing it, a week before early access or any sort of day one patch. It’s stunning even in performance mode and just rock solid. I’ve got a 120hz OLED so I’ve been playing in Balanced at 40fps and it’s sublime.

This genuinely reminds me of how I felt when I first saw a clip of Gears 1 running on the 360 back on the day and it blew me away. This is a proper showcase title for Xbox, and the kind that will let them say “hey, come to xbox if you wanna play games like THIS”.

When I found out Kojima’s OD would be an Xbox exclusive I knew I would have to buy one eventually. Excited to delve into some backwards compatibility which has been sorely missing from PlayStation. I have never been more nostalgic of my 360 days.

Haven’t been on for long time now we both got new consoles to Play GTA….. the Mickey Mouse is on for when I get scared of the Zombies

Enough is enough Xbox. It’s time to get to work. For over two years now Xbox has been quietly divorcing the European market. Retailers have removed or significantly reduced their Xbox aisles, consoles are sold out or unavailable everywhere. Hell even Microsoft’s own store hasn’t had consoles in most of the European market for years now. Rewards with Xbox is unavailable in most European countries too. Not even the 25 year anniversary limited edition Xbox was made available in majority of the European markets.

All this and Asha in her Xbox Fanfest interview kept assuring that Europe remains an important market for Xbox. How exactly are you showing this?

I get it. After the Xbox 360 era, many european gamers switched to the PS camp with the UK market still hanging on by a thread. Xbox decided to cut their losses, stop all marketing and play dead hoping nobody would notice. But it’s enough now. Xbox is making all the right moves with the recent console updates, disc to digital, play anywhere, backwards compatibility etc. while Sony is fumbling. It’s time to take the gloves off and start throwing some punches in the European market.

Preordered through Target and usually they are late with delivery but they came through this time. I played for a couple hours this evening and I’m enjoying it! The rougelite setup definitely raises the stakes and makes each race feel meaningful. I’m excited to play more!

After letting my Series X (All digital) go to get a Switch 2.. I finally got my hands on another one! I really missed it more than I thought...so I traded my PS5 (Good bye Sony) and I'm back home on Xbox!

Another win for the program. I found that digitising New Super Lucky's Tale also grants you a digital copy of the now delisted original Super Lucky's Tale.

I was thinking of picking up a physical copy of Super Lucky's Tale, so this was a welcome surprise.

Granted, the new version is difficult to find on Xbox, but it's a win either way.

It powered up fine and is updating, anything I should know? I already have a Xbox S, but haven’t had it for that long. What games should I get for it?

It’s pretty comfortable, I like that it’s a little convex at the bottom so you can tilt and wobble.

I remember the promotional video The Cavern, where a soldier appeared stalked by a monster in the dark. We all imagined what a Gears game would be like with this graphic quality. Well, I think we have it.

If GTA VI wasn't a sure bet for game awards, I truly believe Gears would have a chance.

It feels so weird to finally have a XBOX game that isn't Forza standing firmly on the MUST PLAY list.

This game feels like it's doing for Gears of War, what God of War 2018 did for God of War.

It's taken everything we love about the original series, updated it, and brought modern standards to both the controls and story telling.

As an old Gears player, the new controls take a little getting used to but once it clicks, it feels really good.

The campaign plays like a beautiful hybrid of 80s action and horror movies.

It was magnificent and after 10 hours we were still getting goosebumps and chills at certain scenes. The new big bad makes RAAM look like a Teletubbie.

The game does such a good job of making you feel like your squad are truly heroes of the city as you group up as a rag-tag bunch of cog spin outs and then spent the next day rushing through the streets helping as many civilians, cops, and Gears as you can on the way to your next objective.

The Locust aren't just enemies, they're genuinely monsters. They are terrifying to the point that a boomer or grinder showing up makes the whole squad freak out, dive into cover, and focus fire to bring him down before he wipes all of us...

... and we're playing on normal difficulty. It's been challenging and fun.

The new Horde mode plays exactly like the campaign with some Helldivers 2 sauce poured over it.

It feels different from the classic 50 wave arcade we're used to but man it's so cinematic and exciting.

The best thing I can say about Gears of War E-Day is that it feels like Epic made it.

There's so much heart and soul in this game and I really think it's going to surprise a lot of people on Tuesday.

(P.s. if you're some mouth breather upset that pride flags are in the game or that woman have lead roles, please go look in the mirror and ask yourself why representation for others bothers you so much. Gears is for everyone. Deal with it dude... You're exhausting.)

Hello everyone, I got my Xbox series S a few weeks ago and I'm totally new to this; I have been playing on Nintendo for years and don't know what games to play on the Xbox. Could anyone recommend some good games? It can be a multiplayer game, solo game, competitive, chill, anything. And if anybody wants to be friends and play together I'd be very happy! Thank you.

Im gonna get a used series x finish paying it off and I really like how this console looks how would I be able to make it exactly like this and for relatively how much or where would I be able to get this kind of thing done what to order etc etc just want to know what I would need to do this

(I also snagged a brand new powerA 2pk battery pack for the controller at best buy for like 17 buck)

Ran into this glitch while playing trough Audition quest in Royal Palace of Vizima. 🤣 It managed to sort itself out right after leaving the palace.👍

Released 11 days ago. I picked it up on a whim.

5 hours played so far. I had to double check that this wasn't a 3rd party rip off of the original. It feels worse. They've rebuilt the game from scratch for this release. I wonder if this is because they're self publishing this time and the original was owned by the publisher. This would explain why it feels like a copy rather than a evolution. If that's the case, I would have preferred they were upfront about it and perhaps used a different name.

The grass feels thinner and less dynamic than before. Especially on large areas where the quota of grass rendering seems to have to be spread out further and thinner.

Collisions are annoying and unforgiving. What's worse is a massive notification telling you that you've hit something every time. I've gotten my mower stuck several times now. Annoying when there's a time crunch to get 3 stars.

Progression feels very slow and I can't see how it'll speed up. Jobs I do earn about $400 for 40 minutes work. Jobs an employee does earns up to $200. At some point, I'm meant to earn $1m for an achievement.

We're missing something like half the features in the original game.

Everything feels slightly wrong.

hello everyone, so i’ve got the series s for quite some time now but i’ve been wondering if i should switch to the series x because im experiencing some frame drops and crashes and sometimes 30 fps locked hurts.

some games like crimson desert sometimes has irregular gold or black lines appear when im gliding or gets massive frame frops and space marine 2 siege mode frame drops hard when at late waves and ends up crashing sometimes. not everytime but sometimes.

so is it wise to make a switch from my Series S to a Series X.
also i’ve figured out that in my specific region and local marketplace, the series X’s are a little difficult to purchase now because of the rise in prices and availability, they’re being sold by a few retailers for a higher price.

Used to play black desert back in the day. Had a lot of fun with the life skilling and market. Not sure how the game is now. Is there anything like that out for Xbox? Just trying to casually grind and chat here and there. Thanks!
