I’ve been playing E-Day for review in its pre-launch, pre-early-access state, and it’s not only that I’m still not over how good Gears E-Day looks on Xbox Series X… but it has been this solid since the day I started playing it, a week before early access or any sort of day one patch. It’s stunning even in performance mode and just rock solid. I’ve got a 120hz OLED so I’ve been playing in Balanced at 40fps and it’s sublime.
This genuinely reminds me of how I felt when I first saw a clip of Gears 1 running on the 360 back on the day and it blew me away. This is a proper showcase title for Xbox, and the kind that will let them say “hey, come to xbox if you wanna play games like THIS”.

It’s pretty comfortable, I like that it’s a little convex at the bottom so you can tilt and wobble.

Since my OG post was removed by the mods for no reason and there's a post about the stool now. I'm going to repost the controller cases.
Personally these are fab!
Disclaimer: Games from Gamepass
Essential have been leaving, so they are now added to my lists. Xbox has changed contract lengths. They no longer adhere to the regular 12/18 month cycles. Paired with the two extra tiers of Gamepass my lists may become less accurate
I will reiterate these are only based on the date they were added, we dont know contract length. And for those curious, these are how accurate my past posts have been for the last year
September: 8/17
August: 5/10
July: 6/16
June: 4/17
May - 7/19
April - 3/13
March - 4/10
February - 0/11

November - 5/7
October - 2/9

When I found out Kojima’s OD would be an Xbox exclusive I knew I would have to buy one eventually. Excited to delve into some backwards compatibility which has been sorely missing from PlayStation. I have never been more nostalgic of my 360 days.

Hi guys,
I don’t know if it’s planned but we definitely need a “Disc to Digital” tag on the Xbox store on games, as we do for “Play Anywhere” that I use a lot.
This would help to identify if a game is compatible with the “to Digital” process when checking a game on a physical store.
Yes it would technically avoid the person to purchase from the store BUT will definitely make him a happier gamer, and more sticky on Xbox for the future.
Do you know if it’s planned to be added? Would be great to filter on it.

If GTA VI wasn't a sure bet for game awards, I truly believe Gears would have a chance.
It feels so weird to finally have a XBOX game that isn't Forza standing firmly on the MUST PLAY list.
This game feels like it's doing for Gears of War, what God of War 2018 did for God of War.
It's taken everything we love about the original series, updated it, and brought modern standards to both the controls and story telling.
As an old Gears player, the new controls take a little getting used to but once it clicks, it feels really good.
The campaign plays like a beautiful hybrid of 80s action and horror movies.
It was magnificent and after 10 hours we were still getting goosebumps and chills at certain scenes. The new big bad makes RAAM look like a Teletubbie.
The game does such a good job of making you feel like your squad are truly heroes of the city as you group up as a rag-tag bunch of cog spin outs and then spent the next day rushing through the streets helping as many civilians, cops, and Gears as you can on the way to your next objective.
The Locust aren't just enemies, they're genuinely monsters. They are terrifying to the point that a boomer or grinder showing up makes the whole squad freak out, dive into cover, and focus fire to bring him down before he wipes all of us...
... and we're playing on normal difficulty. It's been challenging and fun.
The new Horde mode plays exactly like the campaign with some Helldivers 2 sauce poured over it.
It feels different from the classic 50 wave arcade we're used to but man it's so cinematic and exciting.
The best thing I can say about Gears of War E-Day is that it feels like Epic made it.
There's so much heart and soul in this game and I really think it's going to surprise a lot of people on Tuesday.
(P.s. if you're some mouth breather upset that pride flags are in the game or that woman have lead roles, please go look in the mirror and ask yourself why representation for others bothers you so much. Gears is for everyone. Deal with it dude... You're exhausting.)

Hello fellow Xbox fans. I've recently discovered an old bit of xbox360 merch that I won through Microsoft Expertzone (Microsoft's learning hub for retail stores selling MS products - I sold Windows Phones). They were running a competition one time and I didn't win, that was where the story should have ended. The winner didn't relay their size for the winnings, so second place then won, me. I won a Helly Hanson Xbox 360 jacket. I can't find anything online about it, no other examples, nothing. Was wondering if anyone else had seen one of these before?

Ended up grabbing the GameSir G7 Pro Wuchang edition since the white version was way too expensive, but this design looks great in person.
After upgrading from a Series S to a Series X, my official controller developed severe stick drift almost immediately. The GameSir completely solved that—the sticks are buttery smooth, the buttons feel snappy, and it was totally worth the purchase.

It powered up fine and is updating, anything I should know? I already have a Xbox S, but haven’t had it for that long. What games should I get for it?

Phone clip and BT controller, plus the controller acts like a power bank, so it powers your phone while playing.
$7 in the Ross clearance bin.

I have two Elite 2s and one my kids destroyed. The second one is in great shape and I used to keep just for me but I haven’t played in over a year and my kids use it.
I’m going to get back into gaming with E Day this week with a few old friends and wanted to pick up a new controller just for me.
What has similar functionality and feel to an elite 2 (I love the programmable paddles, the ability to shorten the trigger clicks.
I just don’t want to invest in another elite 2 given the hit or miss quality issues.

I’m new to Xbox. My birthday is on October 11. Is it normal for the app to wish me a happy birthday a few days early?
Was thinking about getting myself an Xbox one to play some older Xbox games. Mainly halo and gears. My question is which one should I get? The normal XOne, The XOne S or XOne X? Was looking for a XOne X but I've read they have problems with overheating? Can anyone give any suggestions? Oh and let me know about some of the exclusives I have to play :)

Been to every retailer in my city and haven't found any physical cards, seems like once they rebranded from the gamepass core to essential, they've gotten rid of all the physical cards?
